1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking vs. mining altcoins on: December 07, 2019, 08:23:46 AM
I believe in earning through staking more profitable than mining. You can invest as low as you have in staking an altcoin but buying a mining rig is expensive and the earnings made from mining is quite discouraging. TLS staking proposes 30% return earnings on monthly base and I'm sure that no mining rig gives such returns.

binance has a staking feature with quite a lot of options for altcoins and various offers, this method is a little simpler than mining, and most of it is better to go with proof of staking (POS) because of the low cost efficiency. besides that we have to choose a good POS coin for the long term, of course, staking requires a long time so it must really have a good project.

Just be careful with that as you may loose your stake since PoS nodes can be easily bribed. https://github.com/zack-bitcoin/amoveo/blob/master/docs/other_blockchains/bribery.md
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Crypto? on: December 07, 2019, 08:16:58 AM
It does indeed defeats the purpose, however, there's market for everyone. Maybe crypto bank will be more convenient for some or could protect funds better that an individual or company. Plus, having multisig and insurance would greatly improve this use case. That's where I could put my VEO that's for sure.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins going to get the mainstream like 2017? on: December 07, 2019, 08:06:55 AM
There will be another swing of crypto popularity, that's for sure. The question is will it be hype based, as it used to be or merit-based because of achievement. My bets are on the latter, hopefully some project like Amoveo will return the crypto glory
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Consider All Altcoins Bad on: December 07, 2019, 07:50:06 AM
That's some considerable thoughts out there! Indeed, majority of people didn't even do a quick research on a project, just call it scam because they didn't like it or didn't understand the idea. I keep an eye on XRP, EOS, and VEO, and boy, yeah, there are hiccups but they are rolling.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to avoid fraudulent projects? on: December 06, 2019, 07:08:25 AM
Easy solution... but won't work. It's quite cheap to simulate media activity about a certain project in the internet, so someone will always promote them. You need to play smart, do research on the platform, on people behind it, community activity, developer contributions. One of the current projects that I tested and did well is Amoveo, check it out.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking vs. mining altcoins on: December 06, 2019, 06:51:22 AM
Every PoS project has high chances to be doomed when PoS as consensus will be proven insecure in practice. That's why staking is a slow bomb, think about it. I'm not mining but bet on PoW Amoveo.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be too quick to judge ICOs on: December 06, 2019, 06:31:07 AM
You can say whether a project is scam or not by following its progress constantly. If you see that community is active and developers are producing new tech, then it's unlikely to be a scam, it would be much easier for devs to just bail.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to new projects? on: December 06, 2019, 06:11:03 AM
I would say that most of the project are in incubation right now, you'll hear more about them succeeding in the years to come. I'm following my project of interest, Amoveo, closely, so that I'll know first when it booms
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra partner drop out on: December 05, 2019, 07:52:01 AM
FB was consistently destroying its reputation and this is the result. I choose to support less known but clean projects like Amoveo
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sources of income? on: December 05, 2019, 07:39:58 AM
I invested in $VEO, expect 10x+ return in few years.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: December 04, 2019, 08:36:24 AM
Ethereum is not a scam, but there's plenty of violations in smart contracts posted on Ethereum and people loose funds. Those contracts have various security holes one of which is reroll attacks https://github.com/zack-bitcoin/amoveo/blob/master/docs/design/sortition_chains_random.md
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ultimate Blockchain? on: December 04, 2019, 08:30:01 AM
Check out Amoveo. It has PoW security, PoS speed and scalability thanks to sortition chains. Also, it has oracles, decentralized markets, stable coins, etc...
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help on: December 04, 2019, 08:20:22 AM
Bold decision, mate, but fortune favors the boldest  Wink Can't say I did the same, but majority of my investment is in VEO
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $1 billion XRP unlocked from its escrow wallet by Ripple on: December 03, 2019, 07:34:33 AM
Another move from XPR founders, I cannot stand such things. People do not even get that XRP is a centralized asset that is regulated and manipulated. Stay away from such coins and invest into altcoins that could deliver decentralised future.

Agree, too much centralization. Projects like Amoveo don't allow this to happen
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10.000 Euro longterm (2-3 years) - in what 2 altcoins should i invest? on: December 03, 2019, 12:57:41 AM
One Altcoin to consider is definitely Amoveo. Their tech stack is scalable PoW, which is as secure as other PoW, but also as fast as other PoS. And for utility side, their solution allows setting up own decentralized markets which handle voting and bets
