I hope this time AMD will give high bandwith. This infinity cache trash for mining since rx6000 series.
I think that there will be no revolution, given the conditions that AMD does not produce analogs of top-end Nvidia video cards, but makes video cards for the average gaming segment.
Most likely we will see the RX 7900 XTX with lower power consumption, and it will not be in great demand among miners.

"We aim to list on at least 3 good exchanges in the top 12 in 2024.

This third campaign requires only $85K, including listing costs and funds for Market Marker funds. We are asking for $75K, the remaining $10K and CAU will be paid by the foundation.

We are aiming to collect enough quantities by March 15th, the listing process will take 1 week, so the official listing will be at the end of March.

Safety for humans or safety for the environment? It is very difficult for the government to convince citizens that old technologies are safe.

Nvidia RTX 50-series graphics cards: news, release date, price, and more
As far as the release date goes, we haven’t heard any specifics from Nvidia just yet — but most estimates pin the launch of Blackwell around the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. Some very tentative whispers even mention a possible RTX 50 refresh in 2026, but that’s way too far into the future to pay it much mind.

According to early rumors, Nvidia wasn’t supposed to be ready to launch the new graphics cards until 2025. This would give AMD a major edge, seeing as it’s rumored to launch RDNA 4 GPUs later this year. However, according to YouTuber and frequent leaker Moore’s Law Is Dead, Nvidia may not give AMD the breathing room it so badly needs.

it's asic algo
Yes, this coin is for ASIC mining. It can also be mined on video cards, but this is not very efficient. Whoever found out about that coin first and switched ASICs for mining received a very good profit in a week, but now there are already many miners on the coin.

150  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Where to place my miners? on: February 23, 2024, 05:01:51 PM
As a non crypto user but knows a decent amount you should probably rent out the servers required to mine bitcoin or any other alt coin.
Bitcoin mining requires ASICs, not servers. If you suggest looking for a cloud mining service, then there were many links about scams.
If you want to enter into an agreement with a trusted mining company in your country, then it is safer. But such companies that work with individuals are not available in all countries.

In Russia, I know telegram channels where you can buy any ASIC from old S9 to new ones, and these ASICs are bought by those who have practically free electricity.
Although I wouldn’t even use S9 ASICs even now even if I had free electricity.

153  Bitcoin / Mining / Where do large mining companies send old ASICs? on: February 22, 2024, 04:07:34 PM
After the halving, many ASIC models will either become unprofitable or give very little profit. And in order for large companies to use all the power for maximum profit, they will turn off thousands of old ASIC models.
And what will happen to these ASICs next?
Will they be sold to other countries or disposed of?

If you want to buy a used ASIC now, don't do it. After hаlving there will be a big discount on such ASICs on the market.
154  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Lowest Bitcoin mining cost on: February 22, 2024, 03:10:09 PM
Texas-based bitcoin mining firm Cormint reported that it mined 154 BTC in Q4, ending the year with a nameplate hashrate of 960 PH/s and 539 BTC on its balance sheet.

As a privately-owned bitcoin mining operation, Cormint joins a list of public peers in disclosing critical bitcoin mining operational statistics on a quarterly basis.

The company said in a release on Feb. 18 that it recorded a direct cost of bitcoin production of $9,463 per BTC mined in Q4, with a full-year average of $9,177 for mining a total of 510 BTC. Cormint claimed that its average power price was $28/mWh in 2023.

Factoring in other corporate overhead in addition to the direct cost of bitcoin production, Cormint reported an all-in mining cost of $19,255 per BTC for the full year of 2023.

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's easy to mine these days? on: February 22, 2024, 03:03:50 PM
If we talk about miners, they all need to be serviced quite the same, but i would recommend Kaspa miners, VERY RELIALE MINERS!
These miners are very expensive and you have no guarantee of payback. On this coin, there seems to be a competition between ASIC manufacturers, and the most modern ASIC model now, in a few months, will not be the same. And most new ASICs cannot be installed in ordinary residential premises without upgrading the electrical wiring.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are the Nvidia 3000 Series the BEST GPUs for MINING EVER?! RTX 3070, 3080, 3090 on: February 22, 2024, 02:58:34 PM
Trying to revive a 3 year old thread?

The newest will always be the best ever, but my opinion is Maxwell was the best partly because it coincided with the
the explosion of altcoins and supposedly ASIC resistant algorithms. Ampere will always have the stain of LHR.
I know that many miners are now running the 3000 series, because it is cheap and in many algorithms it is no worse than the new expensive 4000 series video cards.
With the end of Ethereum mining, mining of other coins has not died, and the legendary 3060 and 3070 will remain at the top of budget mining for a long time.

FIP-10 Hardfork 1 (FishHash) 2 april

Abstract #
This FIP specifies the dates and changes for the first Iron Fish Hardfork. The hardfork will include

Switching the mining algorithm to FishHash from Blake3 (FIP-3)
Swap positions of randomenss and graffiti fields in header serialization (FIP-9)
Enforce that a blocks timestamp is strictly greater than the previous block (FIP-2)
Add mechanism for faster difficulty adjustment per block as well as a one time difficulty adjustment to account for the change in mining algorithm (FIP-8)

159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD video cards RX8000 series on: February 22, 2024, 02:17:40 PM
Does anyone know how these will do in memory hard algos like Kawpow?
There are not even synthetic tests yet, and you are asking for mining tests. After the video card is released, miner developers will need time to optimize their miners for the new video cards.
And Kawpow works very well on cheaper video cards.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's easy to mine these days? on: February 21, 2024, 12:27:36 PM
at home I only have a mining rig using it for Ethereum Classic + Zillica dual mining
It is not rational to use video cards for ethash/etchash. They are inferior in everything even to quiet home ASICs.

That is what I have available so I am just using it.I know the great efficiency of those home miners with less than 200 watt consumption and a great amount of hash rate for such consumption yet is against the law to buy them where I reside now.The law is very unspecific but with a great emphasis in being against crypto so I refrain from buying and use what I have.
It is very bad when the law prohibits mining or trading in cryptocurrency. In my country, mining at home is also prohibited, but this does not stop anyone, because it is very difficult to detect home mining if the mining uses little equipment. But it is impossible to check all apartments and private houses.

In here they have put some technical persons who are electricians to check the power consumption of each house and if they see a huge spike in consumption they raise doubts and can also escalate to a house search.Me with some friends though when we had 2 big rigs as the one I have at my house is 200w power so it does not raise any doubts, with those big rigs we kept them to the tarrace of a friend house and they could not be spot,we managed them from distance  Grin.
In Russia, too, there are technical specialists in energy companies, but they cannot search houses. To search a house, power engineers need permission from a prosecutor or judge, and the search is carried out by police officers in the presence of witnesses. Or do power engineers in your country have the same power as judges, prosecutors and police?

No no,where I live now it was more than 45 years just like Russia, run by the worse butcher of all Europe who imprisoned and killed more than 25% of his own population, just like Putin Russia nowadays. These engineers need a prosecutor order and once they get that they can clearly abuse as they are allowed to control every little thing in the house of course with witnesses but they will find something or put something and pretend like it was in the house and make a real mess out of it so it is really paramount we don't get to that point in first place  Grin.
In Russia, a prosecutor or judge will not give permission to search a house on suspicion of mining if there is no illegal connection.
According to the new rules of Russia, meters for a private house are located on a pole in a place accessible to the controller on the street, so that the controller can see the instrument readings and not disturb the owner. The police come when energy company specialists find an illegal connection or there is very high consumption that does not correspond to the design of the facility.
