701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DynexSolve - DYNEXCOIN (DNX) miner on: October 20, 2023, 03:19:47 PM

Guys, I wrote earlier that old versions of miners will not work on DNX, you need to update before October 20, there is information above on how to do this.
If you haven't already, be sure to update your miners to the latest version (OZM 1.2.5 or SRB 2.3.9) to ensure the highest quality PoUW.

I don't know this miner
The safest option is to download the miner using the link to the mining pool.rplant

703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New problems with the NVIDIA RTX 3080 video card on: October 20, 2023, 03:08:20 PM
The NVIDIA RTX 3080 graphics card should be discontinued soon so as not to compete with the new RTX 4000 series. I have seen defects with cooling systems in many cards, such as the GTX 1060. The danger lies with buyers of this video card on the secondary market.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Video Memory Discussion on: October 19, 2023, 02:55:46 PM
In mining, fast memory has lost its meaning because it is not needed in all algorithms. And ASICs now work on coins with a similar Ethereum algorithm. New coins require a more powerful video processor for higher hashrate and the new HBM memory is expensive for regular video cards.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pickminer v1.4.4 NVIDIA & AMD -- Mining Software on: October 19, 2023, 02:50:57 PM
Of course, there was a lot of fraud with viruses on github, but this miner has been known to the community for about a year and github has existed for a long time - about a year. If this were a scam, the miners would have written about it long ago.
Any file must be checked at https://www.virustotal.com/gui/
and it is better to mine on a separate PC so that viruses do not cause harm.

I don't know them, user is still a newbie so hasn't contributed to any discussion, no history except this thread. How is this "known to the community"?

Who have ever used this miner? No one has posted here, the thread is only one page with only 2 other posters beside you, me and the OP,  and neither
has tried the miner.

Miners are known for false positives so AV is meaningless. Many users are conditioned to automatically except all miners from
AV scanning making miners an ideal vehicle for real malware.

It's all about reputation and the first rule is don't do things the way scammers do.
If OP wants to keep their source closed they could open it under NDA to someone who is well known and respected.
That would help build a reputation.
I agree with you that antiviruses consider mining software to be malicious. You can wait until the developers make it as convenient as possible for users, but I still think that you should not run miners on your main work computer. On a separate mining farm, you can do experiments safely if the miner provides more hashrate.

NVIDIA RTX 3080 vapor chamber with a hole develops blue substance inside
As per the QuasarZone report, certain RTX 3080 Founders Edition and RTX A6000 graphics cards may be susceptible to problems related to vapor chamber cracking. The initial thread on this issue was initiated by a member, likely a technician, who was assigned the task of investigating the root cause behind the excessively high hot spot temperatures exhibited by these cards.

Importantly, these graphics cards had not been previously opened or subjected to repasting, as confirmed by the original author of the thread. However, it was swiftly determined that there was a breach in the vapor chamber. This breach resulted from a chemical reaction that gradually created a hole within the vapor chamber. Because of this, fluid leaked out of the chamber and oxygen got into the void.

708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: One rig different GPUs on: October 19, 2023, 02:37:05 PM
Once upon a time doing something like mixing video card types would have been frowned upon, but those days are long gone now. Developers have had over a decade now to implement all sorts of feature into their mining software that enable you to do lots of things like mine multiple coins or as you asked about, using different types of GPUs.
Now only beginners are trying to assemble mining from different video cards. I don’t see any problems with this, but it’s not very convenient from the point of view of settings and maintenance, if, for example, one video card heats up more than others because it is more powerful.
If I’m putting together a rig, I always take a set of video cards for a certain power supply in order to use the equipment with maximum efficiency.

- криптовалюты предназначены для освобождения людей от рабства, навязанного банками и правительствами, устранения посредников и облегчения одноранговых переводов; цифровые валюты, выпускаемые правительствами, основаны на доверенных третьих сторонах (банках), они предназначены для продолжения порабощения людей, чтобы дать им иллюзию свободы, в то время как на самом деле граждане будут рабами;
- криптовалюты обеспечивают анонимность / псевдонимность, и пользователи являются их истинными владельцами, поскольку они хранят свои приватные ключи; цифровые деньги, изобретенные правительствами, не будут передавать приватные ключи людям, будут отслеживаться и, скорее всего, не будут доступны для майнинга (вместо этого они будут контролироваться банками);
- (большинство) криптовалют имеют фиксированное количество монет, чтобы избежать инфляции; цифровые деньги, выпущенные правительствами, не будут иметь фиксированного количества, поскольку правительства стремятся к инфляции, а не к дефляции, потому что инфляция - это косвенный налог, поддерживаемый многими людьми, которые не осознают этого. Заставить людей принять прямой налог сложнее, чем обложить их косвенным налогом; в случае, если косвенный налог даже не применяется, работа органов власти значительно упрощается;

Hi
How about crepto tab
It is scam???
I don’t think this is a scam, because the browser is working, but on weak processors, mining will give a few cents of profit per day, and a lot of electricity will be spent. Even if this is a working computer, there is little profit here either.
If you are interested in mining on processors, then check out these statistics on popular processors for mining.

Completing KYC is not mandatory for existing users at this time, but is recommended to further protect your NiceHash account. KYC is mandatory for previously registered users who log in for the first time after the launch of the new platform.

Why do you require KYC from miners if they do not trade hashrates?

The RX 6750 GRE video card will be sold in China today, October 18th. The price of the new video card is $152, but if its performance is comparable to the RTX 4060 Ti video card for $400, then the demand will be huge.
But I still doubt the performance of the RX 6750 GRE
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 4090 and others on: October 18, 2023, 11:42:31 AM

Prime Day from ZOTAC has made a significant discount on the RTX 4080 TRINITY OC model. This card is now available for less than $990, which is the lowest price ever for this GPU.

In addition to the RTX 4080, the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4070 are available with discounts ranging from 13% to 16%. While these discounts are noteworthy, they are not as significant as the discount on the RTX 4080. It's worth noting that this discount on the RTX 4080 could be one of the last big discounts before the supposed release of the RTX 4080 Ti in January. However, similar price reductions are expected during Black Friday.

so what happened to the new algorithm? is the poll over
For now, the coin works on the old blake3Ironfish algorithm. Twitter and the blog do not contain information about the date of the algorithm change, so perhaps after testing a replacement date will be set. This coin is not profitable for mining yet, so I don’t follow it much.

Mining algorithm: rwahash

1. The coin was listed on the Xeggex exchange: https://xeggex.com/market/GM_USDT

2. Coin blocks are generated using:
     - 70% PoW (as I understand the CPU, and apparently there is a GPU miner)
     - 15% Gaming (mining coins using the games PUBG, LOL, NARAKA, DOTA2 and CSGO)
     - 15% for Developers

Pool where they mine: https://pool.rplant.xyz/#goodmorning%23connect
Check out the project (here are instructions for connecting to DOTA and other games): https://goodmorningnetwork.gitbook.io/goodmorningnetwork
There are no coins on Miningpoolstats yet!

I can use XMRig.com or even XMR-Stak to mine with multiple GPU's right? I prefer Arch Linux/Ubuntu but does Hive OS take any fees?

Ubuntu is a good option if you know what you are doing and are experienced with mining. If not then for most beginners Hive OS is the perfect choice as most option are already there for you to choose from the community that have chosen what is the best overclock or undervolt setting without you needing to experiment with it.

As already said for one rig Hive OS is free and even if you have multiple rigs the cost to have them all running Hive OS is irrelevant when comparing the ease of use of such system.
The cost of Hive OS is $3 per month. If a mining farm brings in a dollar per day without taking into account expenses, and electricity costs $18 per month, then $21 in expenses is a lot with $30 in profit.
If there are 2 mining farms, then you can use Raven OS on the second one so that it is free.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is crypto mining still profitable? on: October 18, 2023, 11:18:05 AM
Vitalik changed the logo after mining ended.

If only ASIC sellers want to increase equipment sales, then they will be interested in raising the price of the coin, but there are already a lot of ASICs and progress on new models is not as strong as on ASICs for Bitcoin.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Still mining FluX? Its kinda profitable today on: October 18, 2023, 11:04:51 AM

Watch this video. The miner hasn’t blown out the video card for almost 3 years, and says that after that it will be like new. But I wouldn’t do this in the bathroom, because then you’ll get tired of cleaning the bathroom. I do this outside the house.

Why do you have github? Github is for source code and you don't publish yours.

Github repos with only binary releases are often used to spread malware infected miners.

We are using github to upload the binaries is easier than host a server only to download them.
We can see how this is done with other mining software => T-Rex / Gminer / TeamRedminer and more.

You have a web site, use that. Those miners have established reputations, you are a newcomer, a newcomer posting binaries
with no source code is always suspicious.
Of course, there was a lot of fraud with viruses on github, but this miner has been known to the community for about a year and github has existed for a long time - about a year. If this were a scam, the miners would have written about it long ago.
