2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is entry into the signature campaign due to luck, achievement, or something else on: March 18, 2024, 10:47:59 AM
Those enrolled or accepted into the signature campaign ...

I hate to tell you this, but you are one of them too... us signature campaign participants, that is.  Smiley

To answer your question, each campaign manager might have their personal preferences and criteria. But, everything always relates back to your participation and contribution to the community. Some campaigns might also have specific conditions or priorities, like this one, which prioritizes posters in the German locale.
3  Economy / Reputation / Re: The SportsBet.io Gang on: March 18, 2024, 10:20:48 AM
Well, not really. Whatever the reason for your leaving the campaign, that was maybe a convenient excuse, but not the truth.  You applied to a new one just a few minutes later, and we all know inactive accounts don't participate in campaigns.

The application was edited to "removed" not long after it was posted, which is when I made the decision.

But to make your claims sound even more ridiculous, you even created your own topic offering your signature space and "promising" at least 100 posts per month.  How would you be able to do that if you were planning on "taking a break from the forum"?

This was posted on February 26, when I still intended to be active in the forum, weeks before I decided officially to take a break. Also, that thread did not promise at least 100 posts per month. All it did was state my average amount of posts since in the last year.

Look, your lying is old news. But exposing you never gets boring.

Caught red-handed, as usual:

https://archive.is/0laka

The topic was posted on February 26 (the same day you left the campaign, btw), but you updated it a week later (March 4), which means that your claim that you left the campaign because you are taking a break from the forum is actually a lie.

As for the "promise" of 100 posts per month, the topic title itself says: "$2.5/post or $250/month". Do the math.
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: QR Code Scanners to check BTC balance on: March 18, 2024, 09:49:13 AM
As title reads, are there any recommendations of apps for iphone that can scan a QR code of a bitcoin address and display the balance of said address?

"Blockchain BTC Address Book" can do that. The app lets you scan QR codes to easily add Bitcoin addresses to your watchlist.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/blockchain-btc-address-book/id1361408498?platform=iphone

While I haven't tried it myself, seems to have good reviews.
5  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a USDT loan on: March 18, 2024, 01:08:06 AM
If you are connected in my linkdln profile you will easily be able to trust on me.
I think my linkdln profile is more trusty than old bitcointalk profile

In that case, you might have better luck searching for lenders on LinkedIn. Don't come here peddling this nonsense. We don't fall for that here.

If you're serious about getting a loan, you'll need to build trust and credibility.
6  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a USDT loan on: March 18, 2024, 12:00:55 AM
I am new here,
I have no collateral

Unfortunately for you, getting a loan without collateral is almost impossible, especially for newbie users.  Most lenders want to limit their risk, so asking for some kind of asset that can be liquidated if you default on repayment is standard practice.  Sharing personal details and/or access to things like your social media profiles doesn't really cut it as proper collateral.
7  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak (filmovi, serije, knjige etc) on: March 17, 2024, 11:37:42 PM
Sinoc odgledao u kinu i Dune: Part Two.

8  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: platform verification request m.bitmartst.com on: March 17, 2024, 11:02:53 PM
I now have USD 14,000 in my account. I asked about blocking the deposit from current funds. I heard that they cannot use my funds in the account. I can't withdraw anything now. Is there any way to get back the money paid? Is it better to reconcile and let go?

You don't "have" anything in your account. That's just a fake balance on their database. Contact your bank. Explain the situation and see if they can help you reverse the deposit or place a hold on the funds. Report bitmartst(.)com as a scam and  cut your losses.  Trying to recover funds through these fake agencies will likely just lead to more money lost.  Instead, focus on legitimate channels for reporting the scam to relevant authorities.

Is it better to leave it alone with pseudo agencies on Telegram who are able to recover funds? When I was looking for information about m.bitmartst, I found posts where people swam and someone helped them. But this is even more suspicious to me than the whole site😅

Don't trust anything that comes from random people on Telegram, even when it's from someone you trust, you should check it with multiple sources.  These "agencies" offering help are likely preying on your desperation. It's just another form of scam.

when I found the website - I'm ashamed to admit it, but it was recommended to me by a person I had never seen... only when problems appeared did I start to analyze it calmly and began to suspect fraud.

That's how they operate. These scammers often target people through seemingly trustworthy recommendations, preying on the fact that you might let your guard down a bit. They use fake profiles or even hijack the accounts of people to appear more legitimate.  Don't feel ashamed - it happens to many. What matters now is to learn from experience so that you don't repeat the same mistake.
9  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: ELI5 on taxes in Croatia please? on: March 17, 2024, 09:23:23 PM
Is it similar in other places, e.g. Pula or Zadar, or is it even worse there as they're also touristy? I wouldn't mind renting something for 1000 EUR/month as long as I can skip paying the taxes on crypto. I just need some certainty which I don't know where to get. :/

For 1000 EUR/month, you can get a good-looking, 2-room apartment (at least) 60 m2 or more in all cities in Croatia, including tourist destinations (except maybe Dubrovnik). It all depends on what you're looking for. It is generally worth avoiding urban centers and attractive locations, and looking for quieter, residential neighborhoods to find the best deals. You might even find smaller houses with gardens in these areas for the same price. Since you likely won't be working here, a daily commute won't be a factor.

I'm all for using formatting strategically, but if it gets in the way of clear communication then what's the damn point?  Just keep it clean and simple - you can get your point across without turning your post into a circus poster.

Actually what you are saying is that your Signature is a circus design!

Well, it worked, didn't it? Mission accomplished!

for now I like green

Good choice! It suits you.

(One day you'll blossom into a real adult, I'm sure of it.)

13  Economy / Reputation / Re: PytagoraZ & komisariatku are alts on: March 17, 2024, 12:46:55 PM
That's what happened. Because he made a big mistake, I decided not to communicate with him anymore and chose never to know him.

But what actually happened? You haven't explained the situation, and frankly, it's unbelievable. Friends with PytagoraZ in real life? Coworkers, classmates, spill it. He used your laptop in a cafe? Why on earth would you let him? Your laptop likely holds more than login credentials - personal stuff, financial data. That would mean that you trusted him to the point of giving him unrestricted access to your digital life? Why?  Then you lied to Shasan about even knowing the guy? Why? When? What big mistake? Details matter.

A believable story needs specifics. You're not giving any, and with your past history of lying when convenient, there's no reason to believe you now.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Early exposure of children to wealth and investments on: March 16, 2024, 12:24:24 PM
For me personally, parenting's all about balance.  I wanna raise my kids to be responsible, who get the value of hard work, but I don't want them feeling too much pressure either.

Way I see it, teach them money stuff appropriate to how old they are and some basic budgeting when they're young, letting them control a small allowance, and things like that.  When they get older, maybe open up a bit more, involve them a bit into some investments without overwhelming them with all the details.

Whats the right way? Probably a mix of honesty and keeping some stuff private until they can handle it. It's always changing and negotiating, just like everything with kids!

Well, I guess we always knew there was something fishy with the PytagoraZ account (he was distrusted by at least four DT members shortly after joining the community), and that he isn't who he claimed to be. This only confirms our suspicions. Nice find @nutildah!

@PytagoraZ, your explanation is certainly convenient, but not very convincing and is very difficult to prove. Especially considering you've repeated the same mistake at least twice.

I cut off contact with him and chose not to know him because of the mistakes he made.

That doesn't explain the lie about "never communicating with him in person."

18  Other / Meta / Re: Why was my post deleted? on: March 15, 2024, 12:24:03 PM
But my post was not a scam attempt... I just created a simple tool which provides notifications off all newly listed coins on Raydium? It is a simple tool but its something I created and which is in the works on to add more features but I wanted to share in case anyone wanted to show support or found it of interest...

Honestly don't understand how it is considered a scam attempt or shilling if one I have no relations to any such coins as this bot is grabbing all coins listed and two I make no money by doing this ATM.

Looks like you didn't actually read the replies.  No one called it a scam (specifically). The mods probably saw it as spam cause of where you posted about your service.  Usually they'll just move posts that are in the wrong board, but yours got deleted. Why? Because you're a brand new account, just signed up yesterday, and that was your first post ever.

So in short: newbie account joined just yesterday, first post breaks the rules - that screams "spam" to any mod.  Stick around, learn the rules, try to contribute meaningfully to discussions, and you'll be surprised how much good conversation can happen with minimal intervention from the mods.
19  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: BTC funds dissapeared from my Electrum Wallet on: March 15, 2024, 10:15:46 AM
Is there any way to figure out where that the receiving BTC address was created? As in which wallet? country maybe. Just curious...

Unfortunately, that's close to impossible. That address has only been used once so far, to receive coins, so there are no blockchain traces that could lead to any information about the owner. Note that wallets (and addresses) can be created completely offline and the blockchain does not save any information of them, unless you make a transaction.  So all you can do now is track where the coins will end up next.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Updates from the COPA v Craig Wright trial on: March 15, 2024, 09:34:05 AM
Not that anyone in their right mind ever believed that CW was actually Satoshi, but this whole lawsuit saga has been such a drag, just sucking up time and money for no good reason.  Wright's got a long track record of fibbing about Bitcoin, so glad the judge saw the truth at least, even if Wright won't own up to his lies.

So yeah, hopefully were done with this sideshow.  No more pointless courtroom episodes.  Bitcoin has better things to do than deal with posers pretending to be Satoshi for attention.
