1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Obyte: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 11, 2020, 01:40:48 AM
just remembering the predecessor of Obyte, namely Byteball, you can see that the latter had serious problems with bandwidth in the working network. I wonder how the situation is at the moment with Obyte. Therefore, I am interested in this question

Obyte is Byteball, it was just a rebranded, rest of the project is same, just improved a lot since mainnet launch (works now even on IoT devices).
It didn't have and still doesn't have problems with bandwidth, it hardly ever reached even 1% of bandwidth that it could actually do.

The difference between then and now is that now Obyte has Autonomous Agents and thanks to that can do Payment Channels, which decreases the need to have small payments on mainnet even more and it even makes these streaming payments almost free (only paying fees for opening/closing the channel).

Not sure where do you get this bandwidth problem, do you mean the stress test that spammed mainnet in 2018 with hundreds of transactions that all got confirmed at once or you mean the incorrectly done DAGbench test with IOTA and Nano that couldn't even get 1TPS out of Obyte because they were using light obyte.js library for web?

Aha, so that's what happened to Byteball. Byteball / Obyte is a pretty old and good project. I hope the developers keep on working on the project into the future.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] (DAM) Datamine Network - FLUX: Time is Money 2.0 - DeFi DApp on: September 11, 2020, 12:32:01 AM
With this enormus high gas fee is almost impossible to invest in any ERC project.  Undecided
I am agree with you. Do you currently running bounty program?

lol I came here wondering that too. Is there a bounty out for this?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: uvwFi - The Real DeFi (ANN) on: August 07, 2020, 11:23:29 PM

^ this, I think its important to add more information about the project to build trust
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: August 05, 2020, 09:19:55 PM

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] V-ID - Let's end document fraud with Blockchain Powered Validation on: August 03, 2020, 11:03:18 PM
Report for the month of July from VIDT with the results of the work done, as well as a section from the community "ask me something" and answers to questions

Yep its a really good project and I really think it has a pretty good place in the future
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in Etherium will now be the right decision? on: August 03, 2020, 01:54:49 PM
I still think eth will probably continue to rise in demand tbh (since you need 32 to PoS). I do think also that it rose kinda fast, so maybe we could see a pullback as well?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 03, 2020, 11:12:02 AM
Looks to me like no-one is accumulating cheap anymore. Smiley

Its about time people started realizing this shit is gold platinum.

damn went out tonight and got all fucked up!

To be honest, I would rather use it because it has good privacy futures, regardless of what the price is lol
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 01, 2020, 05:42:41 PM
Honestly, regardless of what the price of XMR is, XMR is an amazing privacy token. That being said, when the overall crypto marketcap goes up and money flows out of bitcoin, I could see XMR going up quite a bit.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to hold now or not? on: August 01, 2020, 05:38:22 PM
It is time to make an investment on ethereum and hold to earn the profit out of it. Compared to the previous week, the present week have provided with a big growth. I thought of buying when the price was $315, but I believed for a price crash. The predictions didn't come true, and already now I'm in a loss of 50$. Good is to hold understanding the market situation.

I got some around $90 and a bit when it was above $100-ish here (back during the march crash), i'm pretty amazed that it's still going up a bit. I think there's a pullback in the cards though, especially since this is around the time that futures expires. Honestly if it keeps going up though, I think me and alot of people will be happy with that outcome too haha
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth address crossed $300 on: August 01, 2020, 02:10:54 PM
I am very pleased to see the pumping, Ethereum already crossed $300. I think in running year 2020 Ethereum will hit $1000. What is your opinion?

I hope so, with the 32 eth requirement there seems to be a good amount of demand too. In keeping with past trends, I also feel like we're pretty overdue for a correction.
11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid will take your money on: July 29, 2020, 10:56:53 PM
One of the dirtiest things in the world is money. Each bill has been handled by thousands of people. So, the government will state that money is spreading Covid. They will require you to turn in your $dollars. All the big stores will go along with them and not accept money any longer. Your money will be replaced by an electronic system... maybe a debit card, or maybe they will chip you, or maybe it'll simply be a barcode on your forehead or in your hand. Less chance for you to spread Covid. This is coming starting 2021.

Mmm...but isn't that even more of a reason that people should start looking at cryptocurrency? With the amount of spending going on gov't-wise, I can imagine the inflation post covid being pretty insane too.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: POLL: November 2020 Trump or Biden? on: July 29, 2020, 10:55:43 PM
Yikes, I really wish we had more options honestly. I don't feel like Trump really aligns with my views as an American, and Biden feels kinda meh to me.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you feel safe going outside? on: July 29, 2020, 10:54:38 PM
+/- I feel fine going out and doing stuff, but we are all required to wear a mask over this way. My neighbor on the other hand and some other people I've met really prefer not to do too much outside due to Covid.
14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: true egyptian pharaohs and gods where not humanlike on: July 29, 2020, 10:53:01 PM
nah it was just a human with a mask

^ This

I personally don't think any of the Egyptian gods actually existed haha

It would be kinda cool though if they did though, I've always found the concept of Ra and Anubis to be pretty fascinating
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best deFI tokens out there on: July 26, 2020, 12:12:35 AM
for now I think the marketcap is the maker then a few coins underneath like LEND, ERD, DMG, and others.
some new coins are also worth noting for their development because most of them use the fomo de fi project to take advantage.
You missed Chainlink...
in the past 3 months, Chainlink has continued to show good growth even now it has risen to rank 11. Chainlink really has the potential to continue to rise in the market capitalization of cryptocurrencies.

Chainlink seems to be the leading DeFi project right now. And they are still rising in the market. Would be hard for the newcomer to compete with Chainlink unless they will bring something unique to the table that has not been catered yet by Chainlink.

but a lot of competitors will always become a good idea, because all the defi project will try to beat each others
and for sure, the demands will increasing and push the crypto market in green colour my friend
because defi bring something different in crypto world now

There is a Chainlink competitor that is now preparing to launch and that is DIA. The mission of this project is to drive the adoption of transparent, open access data and oracles.  Almost the same line as Chanilink, but a very strong competitor Chainlink.

Chainlink is a good project. Honestly, I was surprised when it went up as much as it did. Smiley
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum (ETH) Price on Course to $300 on: July 26, 2020, 12:07:23 AM
it hit 300$ ye...but will it hit 1000$?  Wink
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 50% increase in Doge coin price in just 24 hours! on: July 11, 2020, 01:51:57 AM
$0.003640 USD (-13.99%)
0.00000039 BTC (-14.12%)

Down 14% haha

I will say that doge is a pretty good investment though. 1 doge will always equal 1 doge Wink
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Back then and Now, lesson learnt on: July 07, 2020, 12:42:17 PM
I don't know if some newbies are still doing this today, if you are you'd better stop right now. Many new coins can be easily mined through a single CPU or GPU but 90% of them are trash coins, you need to understand how important use cases are.

In the old days, three to four years back I was so obsessed with new coins simply because they are easy to acquire, mining them is easy and difficulty are low, this got me blind so I started mining coins without getting into good research first, I ended up with coins like

1. MarketCash
2. NiobioCash
3. Worktips
4. Spotme
5. Gadcoin

And so on.....
These coins are all dead or useless right now, few are trading back then but I was too dump to sell and buy better coins.

Today I asked myself why did I do that back then, I guess it's because I never knew the difference of high quality projects and why some coins make it to top 100, If you are reading this make this your targets

The importance of real use case

^ This. 2017 you could have held almost anything and made money though. Now....meh...

Tbh, the CMC landscape of the top 50 changes pretty much every year. I think when we see the next bullrun, crypto will probably look much different.
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you feel safe going outside? on: July 07, 2020, 12:38:05 PM
I go outside everyday, sometimes without a mask (when local) and most of the time with a mask (when I travel further especially), but all in all, yup I feel pretty safe. Here in my town, people are pretty relaxed in general and kind to me when I go out, and you can't walk past someone on average without them saying "Hi there! How's your day going?" lol
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: E-mail spam from the Trumpsteins on: July 07, 2020, 12:35:14 PM
Sure it is agitating, but can you blame them? They are being systematically denied access to pretty much every online platform.

Pretty sure all that spam will turn people off though. Alot of people who see it in their inbox will probably mark the sending address as a spammer too which will probably end up hurting them more then helping imo
