101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are having rough days, are you still a HODL? on: March 19, 2020, 02:34:20 PM
Like the subject said, are you still holding cryptocurrencies?

For me, Yes, I am.  Smiley

But how I go through this “Darkness Before the Dawn”?

Looking for airdrop everywhere.  Cheesy

That's the only way I can feel a little warm.  Kiss

Bros, if you hold Monero, I suggest you get Poporo,it seems to be a new and nice project.

I put the website and an article for this project, if you hold monero, you can check.  Cheesy

Yep, after the drop from $20k in crypto, nothing really bothers me too much anymore in crypto. I do think if you can sell high then you can increase your sat stack, but for the most part...hodling / being lazier is easier (i'm super lazy in crypto btw) Wink
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will grow in price faster if the market recovers? on: March 19, 2020, 02:28:33 PM
The fall of the crypto market has stopped. At least some altcoins have not fallen in price for several days and even show weak growth.
Everyone knows that the time of crisis is the best time to buy.
Before the strong fall in the price of Bitcoin, I sold my coins and then managed to buy them back at a much lower price. Now I have money left for additional investments and I am thinking of spending it on bitcoins to average out in case of a fall in the price or better to buy other coins. What kind of altcoins do you think will grow in price faster if the market recovers? I am more interested in your reasoned opinion than the name of a simple coin name.

I think utilization and hype are keys to such. Hype often lead to pump and dump events for 99% of projects, but utilization is important in my opinion. Utilization means that it has something that people can use the project for (i.e a usecase). The entire market should eventually go back up (everything just crashed way too fast in my opinion), but I think at the very least, projects with a good utility and not just hype will be the way to go (in 2017, it was mostly hype that won the day, but investors seem to be much more discerning now).
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto really go to zero? on: March 19, 2020, 02:21:34 PM
Back in the day, Vitalik once said that crypto will be going to zero. There has been many concerns about the longevity of cryptocurrency as a serious form of money, given that it's relatively unstable within the mainstream world. It's been 10 years since Bitcoin was created where crypto has had its ups and downs. However, many are afraid that crypto will be going to zero as the blockchain hype ends and governments start rolling their own digital currencies. When we take a look at most cryptocurrencies on the market, most of them aren't even useful at all. Perhaps, the only one is Bitcoin but it's terrible as a currency for daily transactions.

Which is why, I'm starting to wonder if crypto will really go to zero in the future? If this happens, then most of us will lose our hard-earned money as crypto becomes worthless. What are your thoughts? Huh

Technically, the answer should be "no". Crypto going to $0 would mean that all money must flow out of crypto which would be pretty unlikely. Next there would be the issue that there are lots of lost wallets in many different projects, which would mean that all of those wallets would need to be found and emptied, which would honestly be really unlikely. Of course it could be possible to go to zero too if all exchanges were to close / shutdown, and any place that had a interest in crypto / bitcoin decided to value it at zero even with the locked wallets. I would still imagine that it would be extremely unlikely though.

With that being said though, if Bitcoin were to drop to say $500 or $1000 again, I would imagine that there would be a massive influx of buying pressure. That alone would keep it from getting close to zero imo.

I don't see Bitcoin replacing fiat anytime soon though. I think there's too many issues with that (especially the volatility).
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl altcoins or..? on: March 19, 2020, 02:15:43 PM
Which altcoins are you hodling?

I didn't sell any altcoins that I'm holding lately (i probably should), however, is it a smart idea to buy them now or wait a bit more?

What are you holding? and what will you do?

I have around 173 token projects (aprox.) spread across my eth wallets, but they aren't my main investments. I prefer BTC and Ethereum as my main investments since they're good market indicators imo. For altcoins, I keep maybe around ~5% of mine for moonshots, and around 25-30% for holding larger / more stable projects. In this climate though, i'm not really sure if it's a good idea to invest more in crypto since it can drop a bit lower, but in the sense that crypto went down so fast, it should be poised for a rebound pretty soon.

If you do invest though, I think one thing that can always not be said enough is "never invest more than you can afford to lose". Never bet your mortgage, clothes on your back or your bill payments Wink

2.5 years endured worst bear market in modern history in any asset class, will stay another 2.5 years if needed.

Have enough fiat on the side lines for a 200k waves stack at $0.15.

Bring it on.

Marquise $Museum M2 will go to the heavens if I can get my hands on a 200k stack, that's the hedge, no losses here.

The level of shake out in waves by top leaders has been unprecedented over the last year, so the following vertical will also be unprecedented now that all the trash is cleared.

Previous and ongoing shake out pump and dumps:

Bitcoin spring 2019
VST x2 summer 2019
TXD winter 2019
Neutrino 2020
Now VST again 2020

Who ever remains after this will be vastly rewarded

Waves/Eth $50 parity before autumn
~

the way you talk , its triggering me buy more waves ( but i cant, i spent to many at shitcoins so i have no more spare .. ;(   ) ,but is west also not good invest ?? for 1 waves you can get (now 10 west) .. its also climbing

I honestly think the entire market is poised for a rebound at this rate...everything just went down too fast haha
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token burning on: March 19, 2020, 02:07:23 PM
Hey

I have noticed a few projects that developed a deflation system for their coins/tokens called burning.

They burn their tokens on a special occasion or simply when someone pays their product with the native token. They burn few percent of the price.

What do you think about this? Imo, if people actually buy the produc then it can really reflect the price of a coin?

Let me know what you think.

I think bomb started the whole "deflationary token" craze. On paper it looks pretty good since you have the supply reducing all of the time, but ultimately most of the copycats turned out to be scams. A lot of the people that participated in the airdrop campaigns made plenty of free eth, but overall most ended up crashing / exit scamming (like claymore did) in the end.

Deflationary features for tokens can be really useful when used in the right context for a project, but for the most part it's a gimmick imo similar to the masternode craze in 2017.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] COVID-19 Hits Ethereum Community Conference, Six People Test Positive on: March 19, 2020, 02:03:38 PM
As it is, some of those who were infected would have gone out of the conference, to unknowing spread it to people on the outside or those that by accident come in contact with them. If another gathering that was supposed to be held in this period had been halted, I think they too should have done that, to avoid such occurrence. It is never a good thing on their part.
Also, I think both the organizers and individuals that went for the conference, should have thought of it before going.

Ouch for them, I really hope they get better soon. I would imagine that considering they went to the conference and there were most likely a lot of people in their vicinity, the virus probably spread to many more than 6 people. I read a while back that the virus does have an incubation period (similar to a lot of other infections), so i'm pretty sure with testing there should be a lot more cases.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am fed up with scammers and newbies. on: March 19, 2020, 01:59:54 PM
Last week, I found an airdrop project in Telegram called Marco Protocol, the airdrop looked decent at the first stage, I earned 200 MAPC tokens and that was instant! But you only can withdraw from your MAP wallet when Airdrop program will end, that's good, I am okay with it. Their airdrop tweet got 8K retweet and 9K likes, so, you can understand how hype it had!
But yesterday, they announced they are going to sell Bitcoin at a 50% discount to celebrate the halving. Can you imagine? 1 Bitcoin price is 8600 USD, people can buy by 4300$! I believe This is absolutely scam but many newbies already have fallen for that! As they saw MAPC has huge support in twitter, and they listed on CMC too.

50% off announcement: https://t.me/MAP_POB_channel/87

I did not find much information about this project, Marco Protocol. If you initially believed in this project, it seems that after they came with the BTC offer, they themselves showed that they are SCAM. They are probably not very experienced in SCAM projects. I rarely attend an airdrop. Once these airdrops were profitable, today they are just a waste of time.

Yep, 99% of them will turn out to be scams or worthless. It's all about finding the 1% or "Diamond in the rough" airdrop that will bring you good monies.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Temtum to be the first crypto to be used as a national currency ! on: March 19, 2020, 01:57:55 PM
I can understand the skeptism but this is 100% legit CEO has posted the LOI on the Telegram group!

https://t.me/Temtumofficial/13682

The skepticism is coming from the people who have no clue about this project, don't follow the official group chat for update and those who just want to make a post to increase their post count for their campaigns, otherwise, no sane person will question something that has been made public and currently undergoing serious work,
only those who are interested in the truth will follow that link and read what is written, people are more concerned about price, the real use case of any project is hardly their concern,
TemTum is fighting to have a use case, i hope they can achieve it with hard work and perseverance.

Same, I'm not really interested in observing this project for a profit, but I would love to see this succeed. The major benefit imo with this being a legit project would be that it would be the first (if not one of the first) projects that became a national currency. That could have really big implications for the crypto space as a whole.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ✅[ANN][HY] hybrix 🌍 One token on ALL blockchains 🌍 Frictionless Beaming on: March 19, 2020, 01:55:47 PM
The hybrix project I saw was just launched, and after I explored it, all of it was quiet like telegram channels, and social media hybrix, and I think hybrix needs to add telegram groups so that people can interact with others or even with the hybrix team, and of course there will be a lot of input that the hybrix team gets from the community, surely there will be a lot of people giving input to the hybrik project, that's why the hybrix telegram community is needed

Hmm...I was looking over this project for the first time, and it does look pretty interesting. Social media and the community of projects play a pretty important role in how projects become a success. I would love to be an active part of the community (especially the Telegram since I tend to get most of my crypto information from there) and see how this project evolves over time.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Crypto Vs Corona Virus on: March 19, 2020, 01:48:21 PM
Quote from: Denreal

Why the fret? You should only be afraid of what you know nothing o. CoronaVirus is no more news. A lot of patients have been successfully treated from reports. Vaccines are being developed to help prevent and avoid further spread. Te death toll all over the world is not increasing, which mean the situation is gradually getting better. So, there is nothing to be afraid of. All we need is a lasting solution and everything will be fine. The crypto space was not left out when it started, so, if it ends, the crypto space will also feel its positive impact. In fact, activities will turn to normal, including in China.
the number of sick and dead increases exponentially

I think most of the people dying in regards to the Coronavirus are already sickly or have weakened immune systems. The issue with the Coronavirus (besides the economic fallout) is that alot of people have no resistance the current variant / strain since it's a new strain of the virus. I do think that eventually thanks to the number of infections and recoveries, the amount of people with some sort of resistance to the Covid-19 virus should increase exponentially once the epidemic subsides.
112  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Crex24.com - Cryptocurrency Exchange [Official Thread] (Fiat deposit/withdrawal) on: March 19, 2020, 01:39:32 PM
@crex24 Come here and explain, please

Just checking back in, but i'm still a bit curious to my question as well. Has there been any official word on the 1.3b HTMLcoins taken from the exchange?

http://explorer.htmlcoin.com/tx/d927ce45d10a5c437b347175684a9fd15a10856afa9c7b6c5d890086cbd7fee6 - This was the transaction I was curious about. If any moderators / exchange staff members could clear up any confusion, I would really appreciate it.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW XBY ANN] XTRABYTES - A NEW ERA BEGINS on: March 19, 2020, 01:33:33 PM
What is all of this doxxing non-sense above, and tagging employers? Is this true? Hopefully these are only personal issues between to holders and having nothing to do with the Team.

Between one holder(me) and a few long term trolls. Offending tweet deleted. Nothing to do with the team.

Pretty petty considering more important events happening around the world.

Trolls sometimes deserve a taste of their own medicine  Wink Meanwhile the Xtrabytes project is moving forward  Smiley And in a couple of weeks XBY/XFUEL will be flashing up next door in your neighbour's living room!

I doubt as many people will invest if the community acts cancerous though. Should probably look into prioritizing making the project look positive for new people to join and actions like that looks pretty negative imho. Also it's probably a good idea to diversify anyways since I would imagine the market is looking for a rebound eventually (most markets).
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Corona drop over or will it continue? on: March 12, 2020, 12:31:50 PM
One of the worst day in crypto I would say, two days ago it was S&P who suffered the most of this epidemic and then crypto today. We can't tell when this is going to stop, bitcoin -20% and ethereum -30% and the bloodshed still continues as I type this message.

We might see another downward spiral and no one can tell when this panic selling will stop. The only thing we can do is wait and hope, and just HODL and don't panic and let everything settles down.

Yep, personally i'm planning to buy some crypto considering it dropped so fast. Normally when a flash crash happens, there's a bounce back upwards, but I do have to say it's pretty alarming to wake up to a -30% drop in Ethereum when I check my wallet(s)

If it goes back to $3k-$4k then that would be an ideal buying point imo, especially with the halving coming up pretty soon

116  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Crex24.com - Cryptocurrency Exchange [Official Thread] (Fiat deposit/withdrawal) on: March 11, 2020, 04:34:43 PM
Hey, I was doing some research and came across this

http://explorer.htmlcoin.com/tx/d927ce45d10a5c437b347175684a9fd15a10856afa9c7b6c5d890086cbd7fee6

Has there been any explanation as to why over 1.3 billion HTML coins were transferred out of the exchange?

I hate to say it, but I really feel like the reason the coins are in maintenance is because of a hack. I want to try to see if there are any other answers for it though (also maybe some answers regarding that transaction)

Also the increased KYC requirements seem counter-intuitive and were increased right around the same timeframe
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Temtum to be the first crypto to be used as a national currency ! on: March 10, 2020, 05:56:04 AM
This is a game changer !

This is the only real world case i have seen in crypto and will bring thousands of people that are new into crypto

TEMTUM will be top 10 when this news launches in 2 weeks

I hear they already have binance wanting to list them !

Love the enthusiasm, but not sure if it will be top 10 immediately haha
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of Increasingly Sophisticated Malware Infection Attempts on: March 09, 2020, 02:19:12 PM
it professed to be my specialist organization and gave me a number to call. I admit I tried to call however the ring didn't sound right. Seemed like an old phone. I hung up and rebooted my PC.

If you get that while browsing, you should be able to block it with a noscript extention for firefox / your browser. I think rather than a crypto scam, most of the time it's just tech support scammers and if you see a message with something like "Hello! your computer have contacted Microsoft support and alerted us that your PC has a virus. Please call -number here-" then you can pretty much safely ignore it. When dealing with crypto though, it's always a good idea to have a cold / hardware wallet since it's much safer.

Meetings with the Angullia government and premier of Angullia is showing how temtum is the leader in being the chosen cryptocurrency architecture for a country’s aim to deploy their own digital currency !

https://twitter.com/wearetemtum/status/1235231478893727746

Wow that's pretty amazing. I do feel like it bring up some concerns though. One of the major issues with crypto is the inherent volatility in the way that it operates. Have the team figured a way to address that issue?

When it comes to adoption though, I really do believe that this may be one of the largest advancements that I've seen recently so I do want to say congrats guys. I hope you guys keep up the amazing work for the cryptospace. Smiley
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To All Bounty hunters on: March 09, 2020, 12:18:13 AM
Sometimes even good projects can end up at the bottom. It's like a lottery. No matter how well you do your research, it doesn't give you a 100% guarantee.

Yep, this. When it comes to cryptocurrency there really aren't any guarantees at all.
