More cryptocurrency adoption. We need much more cryptocurrency adoption. Smiley

I honestly still don't get the point of racism since it seems ridiculous considering there's great people from all races. Where I live and grew up, we're all pretty much something of everything from black to white, latin, asian, etc and there really doesn't feel like many issues here (most people are kind and go out of their way to help you if you need regardless of race). I think more than anything, at least in my eyes is the fact that the cop killed a person. No cop should kill a person when they aren't resisting and aren't in some sort of danger so I really do feel like the cop that killed George had a lot of malice.

Yep, everything in the world is looking pretty turbulent right now.

@AurumCoin.com
I dont understand the problem with the ongoing blockchain.
You want to bring back the "Gold Standard" but you are not able to setup a miner with about 20Th/s and pay the money for the power of the miner?

Please - I want to understand the problem you have with the stopped Blockchain!
At the moment I see people who want to make a difference in high finance, which is supposed to be worth millions of USD, but do not want to invest 1000$ / year for an ongoing blockchain.

@AurumCoin.com - Can you explain to me how you want to create an incentive to buy Aurumcoin that keeps the price stable at an ounce if you don't even keep the basics stable.
Hello, the reason that the chain stopped is that there are no miners.
We are not mining at the moment because we did not launch our official wallets, exchange, etc.

Will you guys be able to launch the official wallet and exchange in the future though?

Comparison of 4 pure POW open source projects
Bitcoin 11 years Litecoin 9 years Infinitecoin 7 years Dogecoin 7 years Only the time-tested POW open source project is worth investing

Yep, I think overall this project needs some sort of promotion as well. The project seems really interesting, but I think it's really under the radar too.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: June 19, 2020, 11:36:15 AM
Weird question, but are there any active ways to earn XLM atm?

I've gotten the CB and Blockchain bonuses, but I was curious if there were any others such as bounties, campaigns, etc?

Thanks Smiley
There is no active way now to earn some XLM. All you can do to have it is to buy at exchanges like BitForex. There are no more running bounties or campaigns for it. As far as I know, the airdrop was long overdue and I didn't even reach it.

Ahh I see, thx!

Today someone in Discord mentioned possible first fairdrop for LBC (LBRY Credits).

Let's wait and see.

Seems cool, I have some LBRY already Smiley

Is there any more info on how this will work?

tldr. Fuck yea boys we got 4m left in the pot to piss away lets think of outrageous ways to keep the cows tits wet so we can suck this fucker dry.

You didn't notice that midway through the quote was the key point:

and asking for guidance on how to distribute some $170m in virtual currency.

You're confusing one set of funds for the other.

Then there is this:

Quote
we will take the appropriate action where it has the potential to increase the recovery available to creditors.

People such as Adam and Rob are probably going to have to hand over the keys to their houses to enable the creditors to increase the recovery available to creditors..
(...and with New Zealand's borders shut, they aint goin anywhere. Wink )

The Judge has already ruled that the Crypto is ours to be returned to us.  The money the creditors are burning through is the operating funds of the company.  Rest assured the NZ IRD will get their fair share.   Roll Eyes

Did we get an ETA for the return of funds?

I hope there will be a resolution soon, I think this situation has hurt a lot of people. Do they have any proper oversight?
50  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: June 12, 2020, 04:18:22 AM
How much did you lose in the Cryptopia scam? For you to say your life is ruined it seems you must have lost a lot. Can you elaborate please?

My life ruined by this Cryptophia so I am keeping eye on all news related to this its ok hopefully sometime we have good news about this in near future even I have no hope for good.
This was my last saving which I exchange in few altcoins and have some bitcoins as I was going to buy some BTX as well because my father was ill and I ws not active on trading now empty hands and lock down all going together.

I mainly had BTC on the exchange, not much but it was like 0.0028 (something like $26 at the time of typing this?) or something around there. I really hope you and everyone get your coins back though, especially since I think the way cryptopia handled things hurt a lot of people

Haha, thanks, hope things are going good on your end. Still look at the posts here from time to time, as a good relic from 2013 should. Remember the first days of dogecoindark, you really came through for the project. Much appreciated! (goes for the rest of the team too)

Same thoughts here. XVG is a pretty good project and has pretty much withstood the test of time, I hope you guys keep up the good work Cheesy
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 12, 2020, 04:07:36 AM
I just hope that ETH can bounce back as it used to be to surprise all Ethereum fans  Smiley

I honestly think there's a good chance Eth can reach its former ATH in the future, but I think it will probably take a bit of time. Back when Bitcoin went to 1k for the first time, I thought it would never hit 1k again and now its 9k haha

In the field of cryptocurrency, there is a popular saying: "bitcoin is gold, litecoin is silver, infinitecoin is copper", which means "bitcoin, litecoin, infinite copper".   Cheesy Cheesy

Why can't Infinitecoin become gold one day? Cheesy

Has there been any update on Cryptopia?
59  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: May 24, 2020, 10:53:59 PM
I still think it will take quite a long time before cryptopia will return funds to its users. There's been some good developments legally for cryptopia, but if you look at Mt.Gox, people are still waiting for their funds back.

Every step is taken with the consent of the community and users.
We believe in a free market.
Aurum Coin was created to unite the world around one coin that combines innovative technology like that of Bitcoin, the global tradability of the dollar, and the consistent, timeless value of gold. Aurum Coin poses a legitimate and unaffiliated alternative to existing currencies and intends to provide a stabilizing force in todayís monetary system. This solutionís principles are to be reliable, tradable, and legal.
If you share our vision, please support AU. We just need at least 300,000 people who buy at least 1 AU and share our vision, this is possible.
Thanks.

In terms of community, I think this project needs alot more exposure. I actually found this project back when it was up on cryptopia, that was years ago. I do want to see you guys be successful, but I realistically don't think alot of people will have an incentive to hold if the value really does go high enough.
