81  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit locked/pending withdrawals on: March 22, 2024, 08:50:57 PM
Only weird that everything kept working fine for me? How is it possible that I can use the site without having any issues from a stricted country? I never used a VPN or anything  I was just in Belgium. They have to see this on their geo blocks?

I can't say for sure if Rollbit blocks users from Belgium or not.  Maybe someone else from Belgium who tries to access Rollbit could confirm.  I tried using my VPN to get a Belgian IP address to check the Rollbit site, and it did seem they blocked me.  Now IP blocking doesn't always work perfectly.  There's like a ton of different internet companies everywhere, so maybe Rollbits geoblocker thing doesn't catch them all.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: March 22, 2024, 07:16:12 PM
So where's the fun when you lose your money?

We all know the risks, right? - losing money, time slipping away, even neglecting stuff we should be doing. But hey, maybe we'll hit the jackpot and end up with a nice chunk of change in our pockets! High risk, high reward, that's how it goes.

Some people really get into the strategy and challenge behind betting - for them, it's like a kind of game where the enjoyment comes from playing, not just the end result.  Win or lose. It's like with any hobby - for some folks, half the fun is in the process itself.  On the other hand, I only really have fun when I've got bonus cash or something to play with.  If my own money's on the line, especially any serious chunk of change ain't no fun anymore.  But I know some folks enjoy the strategy, the challenge of figuring the odds and trying to beat them.  Hey, different strokes and all.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A weird interview on: March 22, 2024, 06:46:28 PM
Your passion for Bitcoin might've seemed a bit odd when you brought it up in the interview.  But I don't actually think its that weird to wonder about Bitcoin's future potential.  A lot can change in 10 years! I just think innovations like blockchain and digital currencies are fascinating.  Even if Bitcoin doesn't replace traditional money, the technology behind it could still transform finance and business one day. Just imagine, ten years ago Bitcoin was unheard of by most people, used only by a handful of enthusiasts.

And who knows - maybe one day checking a currency's value will be as routine as checking the weather, or we won't have to check it at all.

You can take a look at this script from NLNico: Ignore threads - user script
Good find.
I didn't know about this user script, but it can be very useful, and I looked for something like this for a long time.
Just installed the script and it is behaving in similar way like when you ignore member, all his topics look almost the same as hidden boards with this script.
Maybe someone can fork it and make some changes, I would like to see option to totally hide boards.

I quickly looked at the source code of the script, it's actually very simple.

Open the "Ignore threads" script in the Tampermonkey editor. Go to the last line (below '// Style') and add this in a new line:
Code:
$('body').append("<style>.ignored_topic{display:none;}</style>");

This should hide the entire ignored topic line. I tested in Firefox browser, and it works.

The only drawback is that the "+" button, which previously allowed you to unignore the thread, is now hidden.  The only way to restore the thread is to click on "IGNORED THREADS" in the main menu and manually remove the topic ID from the list.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Connect Wallet" must go on: March 21, 2024, 10:47:49 PM
I get what you're trying to do here - make using wallets and dApps less of a headache for regular folks.  Believe me, I feel that pain too - switching networks, approving stuff, dealing with browser extensions.  It ain't fun.

But I gotta say your solution seems to cause as many issues as it solves. Replacing decentralized apps with some centralized system users gotta log into? That smells fishy to me.  Ain't the whole point of crypto and web3 to get away from needing to trust servers and middlemen?

Sure, it might make life easier if some. But easier aint always better.
86  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit locked/pending withdrawals on: March 21, 2024, 10:31:26 PM
Anyone had the same issue or knows a way to resolve this?
Did you try talking with someone from Rollbit administration in bitcointalk forum?
I dont know who is responsible for that now as member Rollbitcom is not active since February, but they have active promotion here so I am sure there is someone.

Razer is still active on the forum from time to time. He was active a few days ago, and I assume he is reading private messages.

Looks like Razer came back to the forum today, I see activity on his profile. Hopefully he has seen this thread and will offer some explanation and support.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is the best betting site for sports betting ?? on: March 21, 2024, 09:54:40 PM
Please suggest me some websites for sports betting.

Deciding on the right sports betting site takes some legwork.  You gotta look around, check out which ones cover the sports and games you wanna put money on.  Also check out what kind of deals they offer to get you in the door.  Sign-up bonuses, free bets, that kinda thing.

I'm sure Rollbit has already been mentioned, but I wanted to second that recommendation.  This online casino and sportsbook offers a nice range of betting options across various sports and events and  the odds seem pretty solid too based on what I've seen.  Their rep Rollbit Razer actively engages in discussions on here as well, which is a major plus.  Hopefully this gives you something to think about as you weigh your options!
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your worst nightmare in a casino? on: March 21, 2024, 09:12:37 PM
I’m talking about the potential problem that you might encounter in the casino. Personally,  My worst nightmare that I don’t want to happened to me is when I hit huge jackpot while the casino investigate my account ask documents that will support my financial capability on gambling.

I don't have a ton of specific fears about gambling, but there are a couple things that make me nervous.  For one, you always gotta wonder if an online casino is gonna scam you.  Like what if you hit a huge jackpot and then they just decide not to pay out? That would be so messed up.  That's why I'm super careful checking out a site before I play there.  I look up reviews and stuff to see if people say its legit.

The other worries I have is kinda about myself more than the sites and  i know some dudes get completely hooked on gambling and blow all their cash.  I don't think I'm like that, but I still try to kinda keep an eye on how much time and money I'm spending just to be safe.  Most nights Ill only gamble for like an hour or two tops cause my wife will yell at me if I stay up too late again lol.  But for real anything can be addicting so you gotta have some self control.

I’m only reading this issue on scam accusation but this is painful if happened to me like hitting max multiplier on slot games that result to 50K profit. Can’t imagine finally hitting my dream multiplier then casino seize my profit. This is just an abstract discussion so we are not really assuming that casino will do this especially the reputable casino.

I get why you'd be worried.  Hitting the mega jackpot only to get stuck in verification purgatory? No thanks! But there are ways you can reduce or completely eliminate that risk: Find a reputable casino with solid reviews.  Check they've got the proper licenses and whatnot.  You want somewhere trusted that'll actually pay out if you win big.  And dont wait until you score that jackpot to get verified.  Upload your docs and get validated right off the bat.  That'll prevent any delays down the road. It can also help to keep meticulous records on those deposits, especially the big ones.  Casinos can get weird about large sums, so have all your paperwork squared away.

@suchmoon Does the bpip extension have this kind of feature? Currently away from my desktop due to my current location to check this myself. I can’t find this feature on the OP of BPIP thread but maybe I missed few update on some of your post in the thread.

No, I don't think the BPIP extension has this. I couldn't find anything like that in the options.

@decodx thanks, I really appreciate it as an alternative to this feature.

Another idea I read somewhere... If you use uBlock Origin or any other adblocker that lets you add your own rules, you can probably train it to automatically hide all locked topics as if they were banner ads. I haven't personally tried this yet, but I bet its possible, you just need to find the right html element that needs to be blocked.
90  Other / Meta / Re: Lock topic hider on: March 20, 2024, 01:32:10 PM
Is there any option here in the forum that let you hide lock topic on specific board? This feature will be beneficial for user like me that usually visit game and rounds board frequently to check ongoing giveaways and contests. This feature can clean filter the list and easily find open contest. Those lock topic thread are from contest that already concluded which means it has no use already.

Please point out to me if there’s an existing option. I already check the forum settings but didn’t find this feature.

You can take a look at this script from NLNico: Ignore threads - user script

After installing, you can ignore any thread with a simple + button next to the title in a thread overview. This doesn't actually remove a thread from the overview, it just applies the new style so that other threads become more visible.

Example: https://imgur.com/OlG1GrH
91  Economy / Speculation / Re: Contest: Predict the exact possible bitcoin price for 22-3-24 and win merits on: March 19, 2024, 09:13:59 PM
OP, I agree with the others. It might be best to move this thread to a more suitable board. The Games and Rounds board could also be a good fit, considering it's a competition.

March 22, 2024, the price: $66,666! Here's hoping the price hits a nice number again!  Cheesy

Hey there! Welcome to the community @juanj2110.  I see you represent this new casino site, are you the owner or the official representative?  You may wanna check out getting a copper membership here so you can post images.  That way you can post announcements that look more legit. Check out some of the other casino announcements around the forum to get ideas on how to present yours professionally.  That way potential players realize you guys are serious and know your stuff.
93  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network Casinos on: March 19, 2024, 08:38:51 PM
Hi,

I have compiled a -> Bitcoin Lightning Casino list. Deposits are almost instant and fees are quite low, so the Lightning network represents a pretty nice option.

Feel free to share it here as well, as long as the casinos are reputable and trustworthy.

The downside -> there aren't too many crypto casinos which accept Bitcoin deposits via the Lightning Network, so I would kindly ask you to let me know if you've heard of any other brands (that are not already on the list). Thanks!

You're absolutely right. Lightning Network options are limited everywhere, not only at online casinos.

Also, overall, what's your experience with BTC Lightning as a payment method in betting sites? Would you recommend it?

I can't say I have a whole lot of experience, but I've tried LN transactions a few times. The advantages are undeniable. The biggest drawback is that using Lightning Network can be a bit trickier than using regular Bitcoin for some folks, imho.

Thanks for letting me know, what is the meaning of IMO?

"IMO" and "IMHO" are abbreviations, basically internet shorthand for "In My Opinion" and "In My Humble Opinion".

Speaking of which, here's another interesting topic link that you can bookmark:

~
project has been announced and even announced by the Binance Twitter account

Can you prove this? Can you please show us that tweet.

here you can see: https://twitter.com/BNBCHAIN/status/1751875386793980249

Update: Various partners have entered and collaborated with the meson network, one of the biggest being OKX Ventures and Aws (Amazon). I think this is because Depin's narrative is very promising for the future.

Thanks. So that was from the BNB Chain Hackathon 2024 Workshop. I couldn't find it.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Get one btc right away or 5 btc with a bet? on: March 16, 2024, 07:54:44 PM
I don't think there's a person will regret to choose one BTC because they will use the money to buy many thing that they wants, so they won't think the need to search more money.

The main issue I see with this whole thing is that the stakes are too damn high, literally!  I mean, we're talking about betting 1 whole bitcoin here! Even just taking the guaranteed 1 btc prize sounds awesome.  But if you think about it, it's still a freaking lot of cash and  a single bitcoin is nothing to sneeze at for most folks out there.  That's some serious dough were dealing with regardless of how you look at it.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: March 16, 2024, 07:40:51 PM
Because the story of a rare but big win sounds much louder than the story of many but not big wins. I think that's why lotteries prefer to give a huge amount of money to one lucky person rather than give it to a lot of people in small amounts. It turns out to be a promotion that attracts players. Although such a distribution can hardly be called fair.
Yep, maybe this is the reason why offline lottery still popular until now because people are hoping they will become the one lucky winner among a lot participants out there. Usually gamblers who won small amount money will share their achievement through the casino's social media or their friends, but their winnings won't able to be posted in an article and become popular.

You make an excellent point.  There is an undeniable thrill that comes with holding that physical lottery ticket, letting your imagination run wild with possibilities before revealing what lies underneath and  small wins we tend to celebrate more intimately with those closest to us, while big jackpot wins catapult people into internet fame.

Imagine the headlines: "Local Pizza Delivery Guy Wins Enough Bitcoin to Buy His Own Island!"  That would truly be a viral story! Most of us can only daydream about such a radical life change.  But I suppose someone has to win those insane mega millions prizes we always hear about.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer betting your own predictions or from prediction site on: March 16, 2024, 07:22:41 PM
Good gamblers build up instincts and learn to go with their gut, I think.  Even if some people win big jackpots on just a hunch, you can also crash and burn hard trusting those gut feelings blindly.  For me, I'm more of a trust my own judgment type of gambler.  Those betting prediction sites can be hit or miss in my experience.  Sometimes they might point you toward a winner but counting too much on them to pick all the games leaves you vulnerable.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws? on: March 16, 2024, 07:07:57 PM
Well, from my understanding, you typically can't be penalized for something if there's no actual laws against it.  Makes sense, right? When it comes to online gambling here it seems to be allowed so long as you use a legit, regulated site.  But I ain't no legal expert - there could definitely be other tricky laws related to the gambling industry that you dont know about.  For instance, I think I remember hearing something before about how all gambling sites based here need special permission to operate.  And maybe something about additional taxes or fees they gotta pay too?  The point is, there could be other related laws that impact things.

<...>
few minutes later as I forgot to mention that all this because of as they say they owe me 24USDT and I say which I even did not ask to withdraw

I get that people have tried explaining why the casino doesn't have to cater to your wishes.  I tried understanding your perspective too.  But now it seems like you're just acting out of spite and a bruised ego.

Long story short, they gave you a way to cash out without the KYC, but you refused.  They even offered you a $100 bug bounty which you also declined.  I really don't get what you want from them at this point?

Seems like you're convinced the casino owes you something based on your own wishes.  But that ain't how it works! They got their own rules to follow.

I have principles! Nobody can buy me! I love fairness! I love justice! simple as that

They are allowed to have principles too, right?  Every platform has the right to set its own rules. Don't like their principles?  Simple - don't use their platform. You agreed to the Terms & Conditions, remember?  Besides, why didn't you answer the question: What exactly do you want from them at this point?

You should read and understand and not just post to show your signature as I call it Signature Spamming!

Don't be silly! 99% of the members who post here have some form of signature, myself included. Focus on the content of posts, not some crusade against signatures.  If you think my posts are spam, you have the option to report them to the moderators.

You want fairness and justice?  Start by being fair in your judgments. I commented on your ridiculous scam accusation thread nearly a month ago, so I'm already familiar with your case. You clearly haven't been paying attention.
