2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: One of the biggest gambling hub in PH is now closed. on: December 08, 2024, 11:22:06 AM
POGO isn’t actually illegal because they have licenses to operate and they pay taxes. The problem is that some of their operations are mixed with illegal activities, such as scamming people using crypto. The reported crimes associated with them have triggered investigations, making it appear like a large syndicate is running the show. This has left the government with no choice but to ban everything.

As for other casinos, I guess that’s a topic for another discussion.

POGO (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators) operate largely in mainland China where gambling is illegal. The illicit activities these casinos increasingly been found are telephone scams to human trafficking. It's a brave move by Philippine govt to ban these casinos since they bring in a revenue, around 2.5 Billion USD annually. Governments all around the world must keep an eye on casinos operating under there license that they are not involved in any illicit activities.

3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can AI be used to improve chances of winning at crypto-casinos? on: December 08, 2024, 10:51:39 AM
With the help of AI you can only get the number base on the statistics and strategy now it might help on to make a decision but the AI doesn't recommend the match winner or the outcome of the game, its still up to your decision making. If your goal is to beat the game of the casino still its far from it because we know the casino always the edge of the game and just the AI helps you identify the techniques to win but the prediction or accuracy to win most of your games.

This question has been asked in trading section also that how can AI help in crypto trading and best answer to it is that AI should be used as a helping tool in trading. Relying completely on AI during trading can be destructing because there are runtime decisions which only human mind can made. Likewise in gambling, as you said AI can be a good tool that gives you stats that can further help you in making decisions prior to betting. The final decision must come from your own mind keeping in view the real time situation.
Like if I have to make a decision on India Pakistan upcoming cricket match then AI will defiantly say it will be India but Pakistan is unpredictable side and they have the capability to beat any team at any time.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovery journey from gambling addiction. on: December 08, 2024, 10:33:23 AM
The desire from within ourselves to stop gambling is the first step and the main key to overcoming the gambling addiction that befalls us, besides that we need support from friends and family so that at least we can awaken mentally from the downturn, in addition to being a talking partner for release every thought that we have been hiding, because  the support of the closest people can of course also be a determining factor in success for us to release the addiction,  In my opinion, getting rid of addiction is not something easy, but we should be able to do it to keep our finances and worse risks occurring in future.

It's certainly not easy to recover from gambling addiction but where there is will, there is way. The first step to leave the gambling addiction is to make a personal resolve that you are going to quit that addiction. Without personal will there is no way one can recover from any addiction. Once there is personal resolve, the family and friends can come in to help a person getting back to normal life. To me getting rid of gambling addiction depends on persons own choice and it's not very hard thing, he can leave that only if he want to!

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What one factor can cause the current bull run to stop ? on: December 08, 2024, 05:52:32 AM
Bitcoin being banned in the US could do it but I don't think the US government is there yet (maybe in near future if dollar is dumped more in the ongoing dedollarisation process).

The only threat in my opinion is going to be recession.
Just like before, each time there is a recession that affects a large number of countries (eg. COVID pandemic recession) we always see bitcoin bull market stop and even change into a bear market.

With the way global tensions and armed conflicts are expanding, the chances of it are rising. For example after a decade the terrorist organization branched out of ISIL established their "khalifah" once again inside Syria this morning and that threat could very quickly expand and destabilize the entire Arab region which will affect the energy market which will then affect the global economy and cause recession.

But for the time being and until such things happen, the global economy is becoming compatible with the current level of recession and unless things change, the recession's effects is not going to change either. Which means bitcoin will remain in bull market.

Global conflicts are on the rise, first we have Russia Ukraine conflict followed by Israel invasion in Gaza and lately we have regime change in Syria. It's interesting that in Syria within few days the opposition have taken control over the whole country. With so many conflicts going on, the global economy will defiantly suffer and many will find Bitcoin as safe heaven for there capital because of degrading value of fiat. Unless these conflicts cease to exist and global economy finds stability, the Bitcoin will rule.

Market Cap:
- Gold : $19.4 TRILLION
- BItcoin: $2 TRILLION
Amount of gold mined: 187,000 metric tons.
Amount of gold in the earth's core: 1.6 quadrillion tons.
I'm not even going to calculate the percentage. But for Bitcoin, 94% has been mined already.

so it's better to buy Bitcoin rather mining it.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: December 07, 2024, 05:58:31 PM
I know this isn't supposed to be funny but I laughed while reading this..a while back I came across a thread discussing on whether it's right for women to engage in gambling.. Gambling isn't gender thing there is no doubt about that, but it wasn't designed for women because they are more emotional than men, look the picture of this woman crying over what she lost, I bet it wasn't up to the losses a lot of men incur on a daily basis on Gambling... They are not strong enough to handle the mental and emotional depression that comes with losing.

Nowadays every sector is open for women because of the women empowerment moment in every country. As far as I know there are more male gamblers then female yet the house is making lots of money because of weak emotional state of the gamblers. There are no stats available that tells how much women have lost in gambling compared to men, so I can't say that women are not suitable for this industry. Since women are in every sector so they have the right to be in gambling.
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: Accepting defeat vs lowering the risks on: December 07, 2024, 05:49:42 PM
I agree with you, there will be losses or wins in gambling, but we have to learn to accept any outcome, if after a loss, a gambler keeps gambling more and more in the hope of making up for that loss, then it usually leads him to bigger losses. Because the chances of losing are more than winning in gambling.
So if someone loses in gambling, he should accept that defeat and stop gambling. And for this, gambling should be seen only as entertainment, so that after a loss it does not put you in any financial problem.

There is complete consent that gambling must only for entertainment but in reality it's not the case. The gambling industry makes lot of money because majority of gamblers are not willing to accept there mistakes rather they keep on putting money to make up losses.
To avoid such situations, gamblers must take limited capital with them for gambling and once that stock is over gambler must stop playing. If one have unlimited supply of cash while he is gambling then there is firm chance that he will end up losing all his money.

Similar to the news you heard I heard that the entire Champions Trophy tournament will be hosted by India instead of Pakistan. Pakistan has put a lot of effort into organizing the Champions Trophy tournament and they were very interested so if the entire tournament was organized in another country at this moment then undoubtedly Pakistan would have suffered a lot financially and the professionalism of Pakistan would have been questioned. Now if India wants other teams must accept the issue and play Champions Trophy in hybrid model. But I don't think it was a big problem for BCCI. They could have come to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy but they did not do so due to political reasons.

There are unconfirmed news about the hybrid model which will allow India to play its matches outside Pakistan at some neutral event and on same footing Pakistan won't travel to India for ICC events. India and Pakistan matches for ICC champions trophy and T20I World cup will likely to be played at UAE. I think its right move from PCB to not travel to India since India constantly refusing to travel to Pakistan but Pakistan going to India for ICC events like in last ODI world cup. It will be a big financial blow for PCB for not hosting India vs Pakistan games. There isn't anything ICC can do which is against wish of BCCI.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is short cut to poverty on: December 06, 2024, 06:15:15 PM
Anyone that gambles responsibly doesn't have anything to worry about because he is in control of his actions unlike the gambler that's obsessed and addicted. When it gets to that point where a gambler has to take loans to gamble it's obvious that it has become a dependency issue, sometimes gamblers who do this don't care if they win or lose they only care about satisfying the urge to gamble, it's like a drug to them. Gambling has existed for a long time and it isn't a threat to you unless you let it, responsible gambling is the only solution to this.

Gambling is like a double edge sword and it's consequences depends on how gambler handles this sword. It's meant for entertainment but many lose lots of money by getting addicted to it. If one can keep his emotions under control while gambling then he won't lose much in gambling. You are right that it's there for centuries but not every gambler is bankrupt rather the one who got themselves addicted to it. Taking loans for gambling is the worst thing a person can do and if a person has gone too far in gambling then its very much sure that he has lost control over his emotions.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Frequently winning small amount then lose it all quickly on: December 06, 2024, 05:12:20 PM
Frequently winning small amount then lose it all quickly Damn bro you like read my mind believe me I just do win like 400 usd in 3-4 days I know that I gained profit I want to withdraw that money but greedy like always make me want to bet more.

and then all my profit that I gained for the past 4 days gone in fucking 2 hour can you just imagine that 2 hour and all the money gone  Cry

In gambling the real winner is the one who knows when it's the time to stop. Winning in gambling is not unusual but managing that win is most crucial thing which most gamblers don't master. There are enormous stories where people won in gambling but came out of casino with empty pocket since they keep on playing. The whole gambling industry is designed in a way that the ultimate winner is the house not the gambler, keep this thing in mind while you gamble.

only joking... Actually I know Muslims and Nazis were friends with Muslim SS-divisions.

Btw, staying in your country in the first place could be better for your country and the host country as well...

That's better than the best but people living in underdeveloped countries are moving to more developed regions for better life for there families. No one want to leave his house and family but financial conditions force people to do that.

just look for "gay Christmas card" on google and post one.. it's fun !

Did you want to say that you don't celebrate Christmas or that you don't like gays?

Nothing against Christmas. I have a Christian friend who used to send me cake on Christmas and I am with him on Christmas.
About Gay, yes I don't like them since I am straight.

I got some help from chatgpt about Gay Christmas Card and now I am clear about that:

Quote
A "gay Christmas card" typically refers to holiday greeting cards created with themes celebrating LGBTQ+ pride or featuring inclusive, playful, and vibrant designs. These cards often incorporate rainbow motifs, same-sex couples, or humorous messages tailored to the LGBTQ+ community, spreading festive cheer with a touch of pride and individuality

Sometimes i can invite my friends in restaurant for example. Or spend time together in some other way and i will pay for the main part of expenses at least. But it is rare enough and only if i want to do it. I don`t know anybody who asks about "balato" and don`t ask myself. It was my money, my risk, my responsibility - no one shared it with me, so i mustn`t share the result of it.

That's very much logical since the one who is putting money in gaming is risking his money and no one will share his loss so there is no need to share profit either. Even if you win in gambling or get huge profit in business there is no need to share details with anyone except the one who were with you during the entire journey. It's rule that no one cries with the loser but everyone want to enjoy the feast when you won.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "I must make it through gambling" on: December 03, 2024, 07:34:04 AM
Misleading ignorant gamblers with motivation phrases that they can easily make it through gambling are marketing strategies by these influencers to get traffic. They most probably understand the house edge over gamblers and that winning is by luck but they'll go ahead to create make believe fantasies that gambling is a get rich quick scheme. I know that most of the ignorant gamblers will learn from experience that the probability of losing is far greater than winning, they can gamble for years without having a huge win that will change their lives. If it's easy for majority of gamblers to be hitting the jackpot, there'll not be any gambling establishments remaining because they'll all go bankrupt.

You won't find many gamblers who have won majority of times against the house. There is dire need to understand this fact that casinos are designed in a way that inflow of money towards house is far more then outflow. Having said that gamblers still try there luck that they can win against the house and in this quest they lose all there money. No matter how much is said publicly about gambling, people are not willing to understand risk associated with gambling.

Got the chance to walk on that Synthetic Walk track for the first time on this weekend. It's much softer then treadmill or jogging tracks that are made over lawn. There are not many such tracks available in my city and the one available are restricted to members only.
Anyone who is regular runner/ walker on such tracks can tell whether such tracks offer any extra benefits to your leg?

Easier on your foot and knee. The older you are the better it is for you. (That is in general)

I used to run on an old school cinder track. It was nice on my feet and my ankles.

THIS NEW TRACK is supposed to do that.

So I should move to these synthetic tracks as I getting old. I had a 2 mile run yesterday on a track that is made over normal land and my knees are in great pain. These synthetic tracks can be a great help to avoid such pains.
