If we’re going to make COVID-19 the last pandemic, we need the GERM team.

So this was back on December 1, 2021 and we all know how that turned out, US pretty much said that Russia is not allowed to have national security interests in any country and NATO will expand anywhere it wishes. Because freedoms and such (except where it's not convenient for US like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Myanmar, Turkey etc...) \

Actually what US said was "No, we will not tell another country that they can never ever join our alliance no matter what."

Except that is the same thing said politely, while behind the scene bribing Zelensky to insist on joining,
despite knowing that means war

How many wars did NATO start already?

MicroStrategy Suffers $170.1M Impairment Loss on #Bitcoin in the First Quarter of 2022 😲

Still, Michael Saylor tweeted: "I would buy all your #Bitcoin for $25."

https://www.facebook.com/623598761019269/posts/5125055690873531/?app=fbl

$170M is not even half a peanut for Saylor.
He's still over the current price on average with MicroStrategy holdings.

Do you want it to go lower?? Why? Did you sold? Cheesy Cheesy

SMH

You know what?
Selling sats really was my biggest mistake so far.
Some were intended for mid term selling, but i don't mean these. I mean all the other sold ones, especially the ones i sold within the first two years of my journey with Bitcoin.
I'm not going to try to repeat my old mistakes.
But hey, who wouldn't welcome some more opportunities to load up a lil cheaper?

My blind optimism have been right so far.

Don't you understand that people allways will be more engaged in helping their own kind than other, more distant people with whom they feel no kinship. That's why the west is helping Ukraine but not Yemen.
If you think people are color blind when it comes to people they feel kinship with, then you are the blind one.

Sorry, your casual racism made me throw up in my mouth just a little..
I feel absolutely no kinship with your pale skin, albeit my skin is on the pale side as well, but i do feel quite a lot of kinship with some people I know whose skin might be darker than mine.

Gosh, talking about slight skin color deviations in the 21st century as a basis of kinship? Wow.
In US most (or a large part) of the population have various degrees of chocolate-ness: from milk to dark.

That just means that you are the exception to the rule.
But if you have another explanation, please do tell.

Then i'm an exception as well, i guess. I can follow your arguments, and i may add another aspect to "being different" (or thinking different?):

Boundaries (aka. borders).

Regardless if culture, language, religion, water, rock and more, these are boundaries, extremely hard to cross for "normal" people, people who feel safe not standing out of a crowd, imho also the main implicit reason for competition. If you have to live on the same frequency to define yourself as a member of your "group", you can only differ from your environment by changing amplitude. Better, faster, stronger stuff. But as a free individual, one can "tune out" and adapt frequency as he/she wishes to, leading to a kind of inter-cultural, borderless consciousness to totally omit the competitive realm.
I think that's more like what Biodom was about in his comment, which he could have placed in a less offensive way for better understanding.

Oh, and prejudice... Another example of a main virtual, social border.

EDIT: I remember reading in a well known psychology magazine, that people in groups (and couples, exclusively) are bound stronger to each oher by sharing dislikings than by common likings, which was used to explain that groups fueled by hate (like racists) are stronger than their ideologic counterparts. Some "woke" communities may be a good example of such a psychologic-structural weaker pendant, which will tend to split/break up sooner. So "closed" communities will be dominant, until humanity steps up to the next level of social evolution, where humans overcome primitive fear, uncertainty and doubt (and thus hate, jealousy and insecurity). This could take another hundreds to thousands, even tenthousands of years, if our species survives up until this point of spiritual development. The "woke" are expecting this shift to be just around the corner (or in the middle of happening), while i try to be more realistic in this regards  Wink

EDIT2: This, or we self-destruct like the ancient high cultures, Maya, Aztecs to name a few well known examples.

The FRL is interesting, apparently they have recruitment cells all over Russia, and the interest is strong. This could be the beginning of a revolution or civil war in Russia when the Ukranian war is over.
And there is no doubt anymore that Ukraine will win, the Russians have crossed too many red lines. The free world will not let this agression stand man.
https://twitter.com/lasois4/status/1520853393962520576

The EU's toothlessness in face of russian gas and oil dependence is worth to point out.
Some sophisticated member (and ex-member) countries making bigger moves forward got the chance to change it all.
Once again, we see the "Union" divide into stronger and weaker parts. I won't even remind about Hungary here, they should be thrown out straight, maybe start a referendum to join Russia, while i might take a look at investing into the fencing industry  Roll Eyes

Germany, Austria and the other ressource-dependent EU countries don't understand that not moving against Russia with actually strong measures (oil and gas embargo) don't seem to recognize that it will become even more expensive and stressful if they would not end the dependencies NOW. But Russia invested huge sums of money and much effort into creating and fixing these deals (and more) to reach this state of "economic slavery" in Europe.

Rant over.
Good day  Grin

Again dangerous smoking habits near the border:

The Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on his Telegram channel that a fire broke out at one of the facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the region.

Rumor has it that "one of the facilities" is an ammunition depot, and the spontaneous combustion event may or may not have been preceded by a totally unrelated event of a foreign object arriving at a high velocity.

Cigarettes don't fly that far at high speed, though  Grin
Russian officials notoriously lying? Any real news?
I read about 80 civilians were evacuated from Asowstal factory today, british intelligence saw no movement of russian supplies to the front, but the red army seems to bring home defective gear, wounded and dead soldiers to Russia.
They need something to show on that parade on the 9th of may, don't they?

Oh JJG... you and your long-ass responses. I don't really think I can address your all points, but I'll just let you know why I was pointing out 5 consecutive red weeks. It clearly shows that BTC is overdue for a relief rally at this point of the bear market (and it probably doesn't have anything to do with many of the people in this thread as y'all are actually in this thing for long-term). Moreover, pretty much the same goes for US100, SPX, etc. We know what happened after the end of the last Fed meeting (everything pumped), and there is a good chance that same happens again on Tuesday/Wednesday after they raise rates by 50 bps.

And yeah, I still don't hold any BTC. I'm waiting for 200 WMA touch.

P.S. I wish I could've just replied this meme, but it didn't look very appropriate for an old fren lmao

Also, be aware of the low overall posting frequency here on WO, which often precedes bullish periods.  Cool
We might need another mindrust-event in a flash crash to $30k regions to confidently confirm the bottom, though.
Anyone sold the last dip?  Tongue

Duh! I told you how to reproduce the result. Instead, you put in some arbitrary numbers (that don't have enough time resolution).
....

...

I did appreciate the beginning of OOM's response that seemed to start out by suggesting that the number of weekly red candles in a row did not necessarily have as much significance as Raja might have been striving to make it into, with his overly predictive attributions.  However, even OOM likely recognized that his post devolved into something that seemed to be saying that no candles matter, and I doubt that he had really intended to say that.

...

Yes. To make it short, i tried to say candles don't mean as much, compared to long term averages, like WMA100, WMA200 (to me, and Bitcoin).
The get-rich-quick times are most likely over for new entrants, however let's not forget how long it took Bitcoin to get here (from 1/5000s of a pizza's price), still Bitcoin has a long way to go and it looks like it's continuing going upwards. Unlikely, but possible, referring to the Supercycle theory (or -idea), get-rich-in-another-decade could still be a thing.

Oh no. This is uncomfortable now.

Seems like the ApeCoin metaverse land sale is sucking funds out of the market. Everything crypto related is taking a bad hit as liquidity is being taken out everywhere. Bitcoin is holding up better than others as it has a much deeper bud market, but hopefully the pain ends in a few hours. I’d hate to think we don’t get some sort of a mini-bubble next month so that the “sell in May and stay away” crowd can get themselves a nice payout. It feels like the recession is already taking hold though. Stocks and houses seem like they’re headed over the edge of a cliff.

Stocks, houses....
Wait a sec.
2008?

Bitcoin was invented in the face of a global financial crisis.
What if Satoshi was right?  Cool

Finally, the most annoyingly slow download of all times just finished.

Seems you had like some bad time in between?
Listen, i just wanted to remember to respect privacy.
If i'd know some WO's accoun(t) from different platforms, i wouldn't dare to tell it to the world.
Just as a reminder. Maybe caught you on the wrong foot?

EDIT: That memory statement of yours...  Shocked doesn't offend me, though.

I didn't even thought about in that context and I am sure, he is mature enough to keep his privacy in his hands.
About bad time, I am doing good, it's just I posted after a week and I get a person shouting at me and calling me dickhead, not something I usually wake up to.

Peace. Enough WO for next 7 days.

I'd read it all again, if i were you. I didn't call you a dickhead, i just advised you not to choose to be one.
You never know. I have been surprised by some WO'ers change in behaviour and virtual personality in the last few years, so it isn't really unlikely that this may happen again. For example, look at Royal-Pain-In-The-Ass, who's posts were quite "readworthy" in older discussions, AFAIR.
But maybe it's only me and my memory again, and he was trolling ever since.
So please give up the grumpy feelings about my - possibly insensible - words and move on, still able to look into each other's eyes.

Quote
...mature enough to keep his privacy in his hands.
I was thinking more of your hands. Just to clarify.
Again, no intention to assume you would do so, it's just awareness about the presence of some probabilities.

Say, is there a native american/english term for somebody who repeatedly steps on people's toes by accident?
