The people that should be banned it the people who keep writing these stupid posts about conspiracies . You have no evidence what so ever against Gox. What gives you the right to point fingers.  The site isn't even live or active and everyone is giving him crap.  I don't have the patience to code such a site so i commend Gox. The man is innocent into proven guilty.  Old saying... You don't shit where you eat. Half the haters against Gox will be changing their tune once Gox is solid. Rome wasn't built in a day.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [Reality Check!] Strong Indication MtGox Is Packing Up and running away w/ Tupac on: June 21, 2011, 11:13:30 PM
In recent news... Their has been strong allegations that people thinking Mt.Gox is running away with our money and running off with millions? Is it possible that on Tupac's last CD he said he would be coming back in 7 Years. Is this some sort of connection if it takes Gox 7 days to come back online ? Will they be on an island somewhere chillin? Did Kevin go after Tupac on the Vegas Strip ?

You just wasted 10 seconds of your life that you will never get back from reading this post ! Stop posting ridiculous accusations on something you know zero about. We should be taking this time on focusing on the future of this currency.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Reality Check!] Strong Indication MtGox Is Packing Up to Run w/ Money and BTC? on: June 21, 2011, 11:03:50 PM
My Gox account was empty anyways so ill just go to TradeHill if he runs off. But , why would you run off when he has such a successful business. Gox is 90% of the trading market. You can say I'm wrong all you want but, all other trading sites are open.. Bitcoin 7 ... Tradehill. They aren't don't nearly as much transactions as Gox. This is like Gox being Microsoft and just up and leaving and taking their billions of dollars and bailing. What is the point? So Mac could take the market.. GET LOST!!! If Magical Tux wants to run off with his millions whatever... He fooled us all...but why run away with a couple million when you can turn that million into billions ? An no frigen site online is secure from all hackers. How many times did Citi Bank get taken down. You people need to relax. Just shut up and stop crying about it and ride the wave in. The site isn't even up yet and all I see in the forums is people bashing him. I'm on his side till he runs away with my zero dollars and i have to go to TradeHill.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to mining with a sudden drop in value? on: June 21, 2011, 10:26:07 PM
I don't agree with mining for no profit. Us Miners need some sort of incentive. I love Bitcoin but, paying 300 dollars per month for all my rigs and not gaining anything for it... Whats the point? As long as my electric bill is paid for,Ill keep mining. In order for this currency to succeed , we have to take care of our own. Plus with the difficulty going up and up and up... Its pretty hectic. Can't keep buying more hardware and going into more debt just so people can build and buy more shit in 2nd life. This currency is past that and far more valuable. This scenario is the same as a state firing their whole road crew to repair roads... After enough people bitch that they keep hitting pot holes and messing up their cars... Something has to be done. I'd rather not see Bitcoins come to that . If anything implement something now into the pools. I liked a lot of the ideas on here. An just because the votes say 50% will still continue to mine even if it isn't profitable means nothing. Trust me... Once Mom sees her electric bill... All your shit will be ripped out of her basement real quick.

The Pool questions should be written like this:

1. Is your Mining operation in your Mom's Basement? Yes Or No

2. If question 2 = Yes ...Will Your Mom beat you if you don't pay her money ? Yes Or No

3. After your beating... Will you still continue to Mine ? Yes Or No

Gox is loading a patch to fix this issue. Id try it again.
89  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Once the Exchange opens...What are you going to do? on: June 21, 2011, 07:18:37 PM
If the coin stays at $18.00 dollars im happy with that. Im worried with this difficulty level though. We need to drive the price of the coin up  to balance the difficulty.
90  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much power would i be using? on: June 21, 2011, 07:13:57 PM
Bro i have a rig with 3 xfx 6950s running...This is one of many. Now on a single 20 amp circuit with nothing else on it but that one rig it draws 7.4 amps. AT FULL LOAD. Circuit was tested with a FLUKE metter. What is it that you can possibly teach me that makes this different. The orignial question is how much is the machine going to cost me to run. Who gives a shit it changes dc to ac. Power company just wants to know what your drawing.

watts= 120volts x 7.4 amps =888Watts. This rig has 1200 watt PSU. Not using all of the 1200watts

888 watts x .10 kilowatts = .9 cents per hour

.9 cents per hour x 24hours in a day = $2.16 per day

$2.16 per day x 30 days = $64.80

Riddle me that one Batman? Your not right... You will be a noob forever.

But also take into consideration.... you arent using the full 850 watts. Watts = Volts x amps

Ohms Law

If you are in the US Volts is 120 on standard outlet

http://www.angelfire.com/pa/baconbacon/page2.html

With the Amps i gave you.. At full load you are using 648 watts.

So you are looking at $43.55 per month.

The AC voltage at the wall doesn't matter, your computer's power supply converts that into lower voltage DC.  As far as I know, a 12V rail supplies a lot of the power to a video card.  So a good graphics card would probably pull over 25Amps at 12V DC.  At the end of the day, that isn't something you need to worry about since computer equipment manufacturers report the maximum Wattage requirements to you.  Those computer parts can then be paired with a power supply which is also simplified to watts in the "big label" literature.  If you're building a computer it is good to know the amperage at each voltage, but it isn't a necessary consideration for this discussion.

Salain... Ok so lets think about this... If you have a power supply that puts out 850 Watts Max right... You still with me? And one video card = 25 amps...and we known ohms law thats been around for hundred of years is ..... to determine the amount of watts a device uses is. Watts = volts x amps

You still with me Bra...? 120volts x 25 amp = 3000 Watts = Salain is an idiot !  Go on Newegg and find me a powersupply that puts out 3000 watts and maybe will have a valid argument. " What a LAMA"

My bad KlaPeck... I calculated it wrong... Use this site.

I keep getting the following error:

"The password for this account is invalid, or this account is not currently under claim process."

I know my password worked and was unchanged up to the point that mtgox drop the service so its not a password changed issue.

Anyone else getting this error?

Do you have money in your account? If the account was empty... i would just make a new account. Otherwise send a ticket into the MTGox helpdesk.

You think will see the Bitcoin go over $20.00 again? I hope so. We need to start selling our coins for more money to compete with the difficulty to make it balance.
97  Other / Beginners & Help / Once the Exchange opens...What are you going to do? on: June 21, 2011, 02:36:59 PM
What do you guys feel the price of the bitcoin will be by Friday? What are you going to do once MTGOX opens... You cashing out? Or are you going to get the trading on?

98  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A 6950/phoenix problem on: June 21, 2011, 02:13:59 PM
I have three 6950's running in trip crossfire in one of my rigs.. My middle card runs at 92C and it runs 24/7. Sounds to me like you have a damaged GPU. Put your fan on 100% to keep it under 65C in ATI Overdrive and see if this keeps it stable. Rule out if its a heat issue. However, i doubt it Also make sure you are running over a 550watt PSU. Update your bios... Try a different PCI Express slot on your motherboard. Lastly try a different card. I have over 10 6950 cards total. 2 of them were defective when i got them. So it wouldn't surprise me if your shit was messed up.
