2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Freefall? on: September 02, 2012, 06:44:10 PM
How many of those pirate people actually bought bitcoins just to take part of the pirate thing ... I would say its more likely that people already in bitcoins jumped on the pirate thing in which case I doubt the reaction of the sell off would be that much

6  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2220 GH/s] Slush's Bitcoin Mining Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz) on: September 05, 2011, 10:09:46 PM
So is the found block part working or not ?

"found block part"?

Yes, everything works; this variance is pretty normal. For example, today pool found 7 blocks in four hours...

I've been running over 3 GHs for a couple months now and haven't found a single block (which is cool) I just wanted to make sure that if someone finds a block your sure that it shows up in there found block section

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need web hosting help on: July 07, 2011, 10:23:06 PM
Just let me know what your service is and if you do go with godaddy ... I'll stay away

I have all kinds of problems with godaddy, database drop outs, site doesn't reply, just weird issues and the minute you start to look in to it ... its magically fixed

just have a look at all the sites on 1 godaddy ip http://www.websitelooker.com/ip/97.74.177.1/1 (there are 3 pages)
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: an idea for easy two-factor authentication (Attn: Mt.Gox) on: July 07, 2011, 10:13:27 PM
I Love the smart phone app id ....

I think the odds of guessing the next random number from a smart phone is going to be rough ...

why can't I have a app that app on my smart phone app that sends a random number to mt gox or tradehill (only good for 3 mins) that I have to enter in to the site to login

Not sure how that would solve a database hack (like at gox) but would require someone to break the password and  have the verified cell phone (over sms, an android app could watch for it in setting up the phone the first time)

It would allow me to not have to buy some key, and what happens when I lose/break the key ?
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Speculation on: July 05, 2011, 02:37:52 PM
Whats to stop them from simply solo mining ... they are a bot net ... they should have power enough to match most mining pools ?
