1  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think campaign managers enrol their alts in their own campaigns? on: Today at 04:12:12 AM
I think campaign managers prioritize building trust and circle over making more money by using their own alts to participate in the campaign.

I want to discuss about this, is it wrong for campaign managers using their alts to participate in their own campaign? I know it's shady or bad thing to do, but isn't when the DTs want to paint the cheaters, they have to look on the campaign rules first?

What if the project manager/owner do allow campaign managers alts to participate?

I don't like cheating or supporting cheaters, but I just think objectively.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino over physical casinos, what are the reasons? on: May 22, 2025, 05:01:05 PM
It's also cost effective and efficient for the gambler too.

They don't have to drive, they don't have to show themselves if they're gamblers, they can play at anytime and anywhere.

That's why, online gambling grows really fast because both of them get benefit, not just the only one party.

I think online casinos also offer many more interesting and variation about promotions instead of physical casinos, they're boring.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does football Statistic/ History work? on: May 22, 2025, 04:04:44 PM
In Premier League, Manchester United have higher points than Tottenham.
By head to head, Manchester United won more than Tottenham (15>11).
By trophies, Manchester United have more trophies than Tottenham.

But, Tottenham do won 2 thing, they never get beaten by Manchester United since 2023 in 6 matches and their club's market value are bigger than Manchester United.

For me, statistics doesn't apply in this match, people are collect for predicting Manchester United, they completely dominating in this match, unfortunately luck are on Tottenham's side.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is not enough on: May 22, 2025, 06:58:30 AM
So you are saying that, in order to be rich, a requisite is that you have to be mentally ill somehow (who in their right mind would take such risks?). Don't get me wrong: I agree with you that it makes some sense.
It's true, just like businessmen, many of them have money, but they take a loan using their house or asset as a collateral. How this isn't mentally ill right? they take high risk which could resulting them ended up in debt instead of taking small risk for business and rest of the money for low risk investment.

They could argue "The business is profitable, I've earn x amount per month for 2 years, my business will keep growing", what I mean, there's no way to predict after two years your business will always be profitable, no one knows.
5  Other / Meta / Re: Isn't it time to add a new button "Sat."? on: May 22, 2025, 05:06:55 AM
By the way, what does the officially recognized logo of Sat. look like?
There's no official recognized logo for satoshi, but there are many proposed logo for satoshi which all of them come from Japanese. The most popular is the first one, some sites refer the logo to ≡ because it's the closest with that logo.

Unfortunately there's an altcoin using this logo https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/satoshi-sats/

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think that a gambler quickly gets angry? on: May 21, 2025, 05:17:29 PM
Not all gamblers gets angry easily, although many angry people are usually gamblers.

They risk more than what they can afford to lose, hence they went angry if it goes different than what they expect. I've seen many gamblers aren't angry, they are happy and always look the same all the time.

They have a business, probably they earn too much from their business and gambling for fun.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is not enough on: May 21, 2025, 05:01:03 PM
Earning money is hard, saving money is damn hard, getting rich and being able to live comfortably is insane.

For me saving just for short term, you can't earn anything and your wealth will decrease over time. People have to take big risk if they want to be rich, if they only take some risk or little risk, it's not enough.

What does big risk mean? it's a risk where you can lost all of the money you invest e.g. start a business, invest in new thing etc.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Countries that gamble the most on: May 21, 2025, 05:04:07 AM
It doesn't matter how many gamble, what matters is how much they gamble.
And with the US gamling industry being nearly $250 billion, that's close to the entire GDP of Nigeria, basically everyone there would need to gamble it's entire wage to come close to those numbers. Nigeria barely has 3 billion in the gambling industry,  it's peanuts compared to the big guys.
Yeah this is the answer for people who wondering why their countries aren't included on the list.

Just check the website posted by @OP, they rank the countries who gamble the most based on the losses instead of the numbers gambler/population ratio.

I was surprised that Japan is on the list. Especially considering how tightly regulated gambling is.
So for me, it's kinda gambling culture doesn't always look the same everywhere, especially in some countries that have famous cities thatare  really into gambling like Vegas or Macau.
It's true Japan is really tight, but gambling is popular on there. What they play is Pachinko, something like pinball arcade games.

I think the reason why many Japanese gamble because if they work under senior who're gambler, they're forced to gamble too in order to respect their seniors.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Current Crypto Market Now Controlled by Corporations & Countries? Thought on: May 21, 2025, 04:50:07 AM
The decentralization principles will survive as long as the network aren't controlled by single pool https://miningpoolstats.stream/bitcoin and retails hold their own coins.

The market seems to react more to what BlackRock or a country's regulatory announcement says than to community developments or tech upgrades.
Question for everyone: Do you think crypto has fundamentally changed now that corporations and countries are major players? Is this good for adoption but bad for the original crypto ethos? Or is this exactly the kind of mainstream recognition the space always needed?
Because the community developments mostly don't give any affect to influence Bitcoin usage.

Few developments that influence the usage are multi-sig, native segwit, and taproot. The latest development was silent payments, but it's for privacy, most people doesn't care with privacy. Even cointelegraph didn't have any article about silent payments where they supposed publish any new thing about cryptocurrency.

12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the ‘All-In’ Gambling Strategy a Smart Move or an Unhealthy Risk? on: May 20, 2025, 07:09:22 AM
Yep.

I think the only way to profitable in gambling is bet large amount money in short time, if you hit the amount that can recover all of your previous losses + profit, then stop to gamble forever.

If you coming back to gamble whether it's tomorrow, next month or next year, you no longer profitable because the house edge will drain all of your bankroll.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Become All Right-Wing? on: May 20, 2025, 05:25:01 AM
Not yet, but it's still on process.

I think year by year, we're losing left wing people who support in decentralization and privacy. Bitcoin wasn't created for privacy, I know, but if we agree with the way how government and centralized institutions who differentiate between clean coins and tainted coins, we already lose.

More and more people are tend to accept with regulation instead of doing whatever they like and gives middle finger to the government.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Reversion to the mean" and "gambler's fallacy" in gambling. on: May 20, 2025, 05:03:15 AM
If the future events depends on previous events, it means the games aren't provably fair because the casino or provider has set up the outcome.

But if the future events doesn't depends on previous events, the games are provably fair, the outcome always random.

So, which one do people interested? from my observation, almost all people like to gamble with random outcome because when they lose, they always complain the casino or provider already set up the outcome.

Now why people are complain even the outcome is random?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Awareness on: May 20, 2025, 04:57:09 AM
Maybe yes maybe no, just like someone who speculate Bitcoin price through 365 days moving average.

The speculation is make sense though, I also think $150K might be the peak in this super cycle, not expecting too much like $200K or so on.

According to IMF, the global GDP of the world economy is 115 trillion while the total crypto market capitalization is only 3 trillion and according to another survey, about 7% of the global population is involved in the crypto market. That means if bitcoin and crypto suddenly disappeared, it would impact the economy but not as big as you might think. Although bitcoin is becoming more and more popular, it is not as globally popular as we think, many people still do not need it and still have a stable life.
Yep, we need to wait for Generation X and prior to die first, those generation are very sceptic with new thing. Once they die, they will inherit their money to Generation Y and later, they will some portion to invest in Bitcoin.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Savings and Investment, and how it can affect standard of living. on: May 19, 2025, 05:00:08 PM
From my own perspective, the best way if you want to increase your standard of living, make sure you work in high skill jobs where your salary can always increase or you're a businessman.

If you only work in jobs which give you a good amount of salary, but you're stuck or the salary only increase along with inflation rate, I won't recommend to increase your living standard.

I work in job which give me a good salary, but not really that high, I invest a lot, but I realize my investment doesn't grow.

What I mean is like this, I have Bitcoin, let's say I bought at $50K and now it's worth $100K, that mean my capital now doubled, right? but it's just investment, investor mindset is the larger I invest and the longer I hold, it will bring a lot money in the future.

My question is when we will enjoy it?

It's different if you have a job that the salary always increase rapidly or business, it will keep growing and you can increase your living standard without thinking of reduce your investment.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Illusion of Competition in Different Casino Brands with one Parent Company on: May 19, 2025, 04:48:18 PM
I can only understand with the marketing by bitcasino, sportsbet and live casino, because they use the name that intended to attract specific gamblers.

Bitcasino means Bitcoin Casino I think?
Sportsbet means sports, so do live casino.

I wonder why they don't create marketing about drama with the casinos they owned? like A casino claiming to be the best, while B casino attacking A casino or vice versa.

For example candyland casino is a casino under the parent company SSC Entertainment N.V. Its sister companies include 1win, 1xbet, bc.game, betbeast and betway. Despite being under the same company, each casino offers their own unique features and the company makes profit off of these casinos. Most likely if you enjoy a site from one company you will also enjoy other sister sites.
Oh wait, what does this mean? Grin

When I see sites has a name 1x, I always think it's scam.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Scratch Off Results. Posting Every Time I buy a Scratch Off Ticket on: May 16, 2025, 10:13:21 AM
Nice initiative @OP.

I'm not really familiar with the scratch off lotteries, does you only need to scratch all of them and see if you're lucky or not, or there's something like skill where you have to pick before you scratch.

Anyway, I think it will be much better if you can upload the photos of the cards that you scratch. Since you are going to buy just a couple or maybe fewer than 5, then I think there's no hassle in that.
Although I don't know if that will be allowed or if it's legal to upload pictures of the card. Might as well check that first.
Yep, that's a good thing, documented version is always better.

Maybe it could help people to learn the pattern or something like that.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why you need to keep your crypto investment discreet on: May 16, 2025, 08:44:28 AM
Always remember, secret is something you never share, so if you share to at least one person even though he can be trusted, it's no longer secret anymore. So, if you tell to someone else, be ready if most people around you will know the information you told.

Owning crypto comes with a lot of responsibilities. First, you need to keep your mouth shut while you acquire it; nobody needs to know the amount that you hold, but if you want to have a loud mouth, you need to be prepared for what comes ahead.
The same thing if you own asset or business, even you store your money in banks, the criminals can force you to withdraw it.

Why business included? any business have strength and weakness, if you can't control your mouth, you will overshare your business and there could be someone attack your business from your weakness.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is a never ending storm on: May 16, 2025, 07:33:38 AM
Yeah, most people came back to gamble regardless they win or lose, but the most important thing knowing how much your budget for gambling.

I would like to return the question, does those who paid for a party does not enjoy it?  Are those who pays the ticket to watch a movie regrets because they paid for it?  Things in this world is not free.  We have to spend something in order to experience or gain them.  Just like how people are paying for travels when they wanted to have some vacation in some area or outside the country.  So are you saying that these people who are spending their money are absurd since they lost money anyway?  Is it absurd to pay for our meals?

It is not a mystery but the interest of the person involved.  If they take fun in gambling then that is the reason why it is ok for them to lose money when engaging in gambling.  This is the same for people who are so eager to pay for plane tickets, accommodation, and food service when they want to have a vacation in another place or country.
We need to accept most people can't find the fun or happiness in gambling.

If you explain the fun in gambling, they will say it's wasting time and money, you get nothing because the game is always same and you didn't get something new. It's different with party, vacation, watching movie, etc, because you will invite different people, you will experience different places, you watch different movies.

That's what they said.
