1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🚀🚀 WallStreetBets Coin 🚀🚀 **JUST RELEASED!!** 🤑 Join WallStreetBets! on: March 22, 2021, 11:36:53 PM
I'm assuming this isn't officially sanctioned by WSB is it? I'm a frequent poster there and I haven't heard of it. What's the goal here?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-Ann]Vector, free gaming server X11/MN gaming coin(launch 3/31/2021 9PM EST) on: March 22, 2021, 10:13:53 PM

Supply- 2,100,000 (2 Billion 100 Million)
-

You are lacking three 0's there. should be - 2,100,000,000

Are you going to post also your block explorer. And how much do you think will be the value in BTC if someone wants to get a hold of 1 MN? Gaming industry is a lucrative industry, so if you can get a small pie of that, your future is already secured.
Yea 0's are hard lol. Fixing it now, thanks! Block explorer will be up at the same time as launch. Value-wise I have no idea. We really won't have a true idea until I can start marketing premium servers. However the free servers need to be a success first. Hosting has always been something I enjoyed, and crypto can make it financially possible if people like the service.

Awesome! I'll save a spot for you on the announcement as well.

In preparation for mining, I would recommend using nicehash or running an x11 ASIC. Attempting to mine on CPU/gpu will likely not yield any reward. If you need help with how to setup a masternode, let me know. I'll have a guide linked on our webpage and on the main announcement.

Sounds good, I will add you to the announcement page.

Information contained in this post is pre-launch and will be updated substantially in the coming days. This announcement is to ensure a fair launch for everyone.

Introducing Vector, a fair launch gaming server coin.

Check out https://www.vectorevolution.com/ to learn more! Discord server: https://discord.gg/2yRnkbWg5X

What? This is a services focused coin, where the innovation is intended to be not in the coin itself, but in the service it supports.
Why? We want to provide gaming servers at low or no cost to everyone who wants them. We love hosting and we also love crypto, so why not bring them together?
Where? Datacenter country on the eastern US is Northern Virginia. We have access to multiple colocation sites as well as personal fiber lines.
How? Funding is possible by using a crypto payment system and controlling costs with a gradual buildup of users and equipment. Test, Deploy, Perfect, Replicate.

The Service
Within just a few weeks, we will be opening up free hosting for a few games. Right now we have Minecraft and Valheim base servers ready to go. These servers will be free for life for those who sign up. That's right, a real product that you can test and even help grow, not just a coin with no purpose! A waiting list may apply for servers depending on demand. Right now costs are being kept at a minimum, as as demand grows so will our infrastructure. We are already pricing out Threadripper based server builds. If you want to be part of a attentive and frequently updated coin launch, then look no further. When available the server waitlist link will be posted here. To learn more about the type of servers we use or just to learn more about Vector in general, please visit https://www.vectorevolution.com/

The Coin
Coin Specs:
Algorithm- X11*
Supply- 2,100,000,000 (2 Billion 100 Million)
Block Reward- 1,000
Mining Reward- 50% of block reward
Masternode Reward- 49% of block reward
Masternode Coin Requirement- 50,000 Vector
Governance Reserved- 1% of block reward (this is only usable when voted on by coin holders)
Block Time- 60 Seconds
Difficulty Retarget- Every 5 Blocks
Premine- NO
Dev/Founders Rewards- NO
100% fair launch and mining- YES

*Why the X11 algorithm? Isn't that dead? Well.... mostly yes. Thousands of paperweight X11 ASIC miners are now available on the cheap, costing more in power than they produce in profit. We aim to change that. It's a solid algorithm and we hope Vector becomes a more profitable mining target for X11 miners. Mining rewards are 1% higher than Masternode rewards to compensate for the 1-2% fee that pool providers typically charge. Let's make X11 great again!

Reasoning for certain coin values
-1k Block reward is mostly arbitrary, but makes for larger individual numbers so users aren't stuck with fractional coins
-50k Masternode requirement is scaled off of the Dash Masternode requirement and should come out roughly equivalent for profit/expense
-Governance is kept low because it will likely not be utilized for some time, if ever. However the option is there is Masternode holders deem it necessary.
-Block and retarget times are kept low to keep the chain moving at a reasonable rate even with choppy difficulty if hashpower suddenly increases or decreases dramatically.

WALLET/SOURCE/UTILITIES LINKS
Links will be posted here on launch as well as on discord. Windows and linux wallets will be available at launch, as well as a mining pool and explorer.

Launch Date/Time: March 31 2021 @9PM EST

The Path Forward
Testing phase will conclude at some point with a move to a colocation environment. The timing of this will depend on demand and our personal funding. High demand is likely to correlate with a high coin value, which will make it easier to acquire more servers. Once a sustainable infrastructure is in place, we will offer premium servers in exchange for Vector or other payment methods. Payment with Vector will, by design, always be cheaper than fiat payments. Thanks for reading!

You know your shitcoin is dead when the only people posting on your bitcointalk thread are pool shills.

RIP RVN. The idea was fine. It's just too bad decentralization didn't work out.
The tech/development behind this was great. There just wasn't any real purpose for it. Cool coin, just needed to be put to work somehow.

Iv'e been mining the new kawpow algo and I would like to thank the team behind this for staying the course and continuing the fight against asics. Works great on my amd cards and I am having a blast taking those out of retirement. You guys deserve every bit of success you have and the rvn market rise recently has been evidence of that. I have no doubt this will be a 1 Billion market cap coin someday!

So where do i get all this new info?

If i look at the openingspost its all based on the old x16 algo...
This announcement thread isn't updated very well, and neither is the website. Check https://raven.wiki/wiki/Ravencoin_Wiki for a quick synopsis. Best source of info honestly comes from the discord channel: https://discord.gg/jn6uhur . I would recommend joining that.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: April 19, 2020, 10:57:11 PM
Idena isn't a good platform for scammers because of everyone has one and unique account. A lot of people trying to sell invites in telegram, new users should be aware of them. It's easy to get an invite by joining their discord channel, just with prooving that you're able to make good flips.
There are just too few invites available. The invitation scarcity is a real problem.

I see a lot of people giving invites on Discord, for certain task. Do you need an invite mate? I have one for you if you are committed.

I have been wondering how to do a proof of person concept. Really cool to see somebody finally did it. Was there any sort of premine or was this all fair game from the start?

Yes, if my memory serves like 36M coins were preminted.
That's quite a few coins compared to the total supply, but considering there is some innovative new tech it's not so bad. I'll probably grab some and sit on it for awhile and play around with flips and such. At least this is an original idea and not a copy pasta coin.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Covid-19 Question on: April 06, 2020, 05:25:28 AM
I think covid will have a neutral effect on crypto. Not much will change but crypto won't get hammered by the money printers devaluing the currency with stimulus packages.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are You Happy For Participate bounty in this Year 2020 on: April 06, 2020, 04:47:33 AM
Is working a bounties still viable? I know years ago people could make good money but is that still the case with today's projects?
