It's becoming trendy, perhaps
As long as new investors can handle the wild price swings and avoid low ranked exchanges and all the dodgy scams around the place they should enjoy being a part of this evolution
It feels good to own a bit of digital gold to HODL for that one day when it eventually pays off (or implodes to zero)
Don't invest more than you can afford to lose and be prepared to lose up to 90% of your investment if you unfortunately invested during a major pump
Buy when the technical indicators show oversold conditions only, and if you're buying Bitcoin for the long term anywhere under $10,000 is a decent entry point now just wait for the dips

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving , and its Effects

The halving had little to no effect on the markets except a gradual appreciation beforehand
Now that's out of the way it's looking forward to maintaining a healthy price point to keep the miners happy and the ecosystem sustainable
If it should crash again, it'll be rather unfortunate short to medium term, but fundamentals are moderate to strong from the retail sector and institutions have one less technology related event to worry about volatility wise, so we may see some renewed interest and at least the value staying afloat in the current range for the next few weeks
