is it an issue seeing this in firefox when i go to my account page?

deepbit.net uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate expired on 5/18/2012 2:01 AM. The current time is 8/9/2012 6:22 PM.

(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)

But if you think they are going down, you now have no way to short.

Borrow Bitcoins. Sell Bitcoins. Congrats, you are now short.

Seriously, I LOLed about this......

That's just one part of short... you wait til it goes below 10 and buy back the coins.. and u keep the difference.. that's the short...
3  Economy / Goods / Re: Spend Bitcoins (worldwide) | Buy Bitcoins (worldwide) on: July 30, 2012, 11:22:00 PM
Hi bitcoin spenders,

Lucky you! We want to balance our # of bitcoins vs fiat currency today, so until that is done, we are giving you 5%* more for your national currency than LAST PRICE on Mt Gox (give or take 5 minutes).

If you've been holding out on cashing out or spending your bitcoins, now is the time! Head over to http://spendbitcoins.com while this sale lasts. It could end anytime!

Happy spending,
Jeremy West
http://spendbitcoins.com

*Please note that while every other conversion option is figured at the mid-market exchange rate from Mt Gox LAST USD, wire transfers are figured at Commonwealth Bank's retail AUD->other currency rates, so if you choose a wire transfer while you will probably get MORE than Mt Gox, it will certainly not be 5% more. Please see link on the wire page to estimate how much you will get in your national currency.

wohooo!!! 5% more!!!
4  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Need a fan for Sapphire 5830 on: May 30, 2012, 02:40:32 AM
guys let me know as i got one dead fan already but i haven't removed the plastic casing of it... but i didn't want to spend like $50 on aftermarket coolers... is it worth it?
5  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Need a fan for Sapphire 5830 on: May 29, 2012, 09:07:06 PM
Ha! That's funny because I already removed the shroud for better cooling and to get at the fan (to get the part numbs, etc. )

I'll give that a go If I can find the right size fan laying around here....

I have a better solution.  What I did with a 4770 and a 6870 when the fans died, is I took off the plastic shroud (you have to take the whole cooler off) and then reattach the heatsink without the fan, so it's just a big heatsink.  Then you can zip-tie an 80mm or 92mm fan to it, and you'll find the card runs at like 50 degrees now, total upgrade!  And it doesn't cost anything!

28,- for shipping is &%&$&, i pay for a standard shipping from China about 2-3$

So 28$ is absolutely No-Go.
I don't think that's the right fan?  That looks like a reference one.

Absolutely Wrong Fan.  The pics I sent are identical to the fan I pulled off the card.

isn't the vibration bad for ur hard drive...? what about this vga cooler (though may take another pci slot..)

6  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: is spendbitcoin.com still up...? on: April 18, 2012, 12:37:29 AM
Rumors of our demise have been highly exaggerated.

Sorry about the unexpected outage. We migrated servers yesterday in order to test and then roll out automation, then our tool, then world domination. Smiley

As long as crypto currencies exist, we'll exist. Smiley

Hey Jeremy,

Hope i was not helping the rumor - was hoping it's an outage (which you just confirmed!) Thanks for being here !

7  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: is spendbitcoin.com still up...? on: April 17, 2012, 08:41:04 PM

8  Economy / Currency exchange / is spendbitcoin.com still up...? [temp outage only -nuttin 2 c here. move along] on: April 17, 2012, 08:25:54 PM

9  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] XFX RADEON 5850 on: February 03, 2012, 08:28:19 PM
does it have transferable life time warranty (was this card registered within 30 days of purchase)? is this a reference 5850 or non-referenced?

10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TradeHill - suspension of US wire deposits / withdrawals on: January 13, 2012, 08:02:56 PM
Please update us as to whether you are actually sending out checks ...
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tradehill or tradehell? on: January 12, 2012, 05:18:20 PM
dont mean to divert the attention but - when are the checks started being send out again? I'm curious since I had requested one sent to me since dec 30 ...
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tradehill - Thank you for reloving and continue with the best customer service on: January 12, 2012, 08:06:13 AM
That sucks you guys have been having problems.

That said: Don't gamble with money you can't afford to lose.

Not gambling when its a payment is it?

+ 1 to that...

to another point.. i made a request for check since dec 30th - hopefully i'll somehow get to see the check next week sometime... mining bitcoin may not be my main income but having that earned money is definitely nice since it is earned...

I went with tradehill because i can get a check from them and i hope that everything will be resolved - it's already going through hoops to get mtgox to bitinstant to trade hill... i dont want to get like 10% taken out of the money i mined since it's hard earned cash... not to mention having your bank info verified, etcetc... it's a hassle and i'm not that comfortable giving out those info...

16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mtgox Paxum transfers not coming through on: December 02, 2011, 06:23:43 AM
well my paxum withdraw was stalling so i ticketed support..

this is what i got..

Mt.Gox Support, Dec-02 10:34 (JST):

Hello,

Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that due to insufficient funds, Paxum withdrawals are not going through. Would you like to cancel them and withdraw via other methods such as International Wire, AurumXchange or Dwolla? Please lets us know how you wish to proceed. Our apologies for the delay and inconvenience caused.

Thanks,

MtGox.com Team

so does anyone have any good idea of getting gox money to fiat money? (i'm new at this but i sold mine on mtgox thinking i can get to paxum and get it back to my hands quickly... guess not)
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox withdrawal problems on: December 01, 2011, 08:25:53 PM
Just to be sure, has anyone been successful at withdrawing in any of the withdrawal options like Paxum, Dwolla, international wire etc. for the last week?

They told me that my money should have been at my Paxum account yesterday (no money on the account yet), I requested to withdraw 2500 USD more then a week ago.

Dont forget, you can always use Bitinstant.com to withdraw MtGox codes into Tradehill, then then use one of their withdrawal options.

i wish i saw this before i did my withdrawal to paxum....
