Hello everyone-

Lyra development status update -

As we communicated previously, while conducting testing on testnet (thanks to our growing community of testers!), we found several issues in consensus and DPOS implementation, related to the fact that the original implementation was planned as a hybrid “permissioned/permissionless”. So we decided to take one more step and finish the full permissionless implementation before the mainnet launch.

We are pleased to inform you that the main work has been completed in version 1.7.3 - thanks Joseph for his hard, sophisticated work! We are still working on minor bug fixes and features (like additional LoyalShopper app and mobile wallets support).

The testers will be able to resume testing after the minor release which will be issued soon. Stay tuned!

Brief update on Lyra development status -

While conducting testing on testnet, we found several serious issues in consensus and DPOS implementation, related to the fact that current implementation is a hybrid “permissioned/permissionless”. We decided to take one more step and finish the full permissionless implementation before we move to mainnet (initially we were planning to do it after mainnet launch). We realize that this decision may postpone the mainnet launch date, but on the other hand it will help remove any concerns regarding the network decentralization and risks associated with fundamental changes on mainnet.

Currently, Joseph is mostly working on the Lyra network code, while I am focused on LoyalShopper, so by the time we launch mainnet we get a production grade LoyalShopper app ready to serve Shopify customers on day one.

We will notify you once updated nodes are available for testing again. Stay tuned!

Early node testing bounty
Running a testnet node (in primary authorizer mode), reporting on bugs, performance and usability issues, and user experience.

Bonus:

The active testers who run and test the nodes on testnet will get enough LYR to stake the actual primary authorizer node on mainnet once it’s launched (currently a minimum stake is set to 1,000,000 LYR).

Bug bounty
Report a bug in a node, a wallet, a block explorer, LoyalShopper apps, or even misspelling or bad wording on the website and receive a bonus.

Bonus:

The amount of the bonus will vary depending on the severity of the discovered issue and starts from 1,000 LYR. No upper limit.

Social media awareness bounty
Follow Lyra twitter account, like and retweet Lyra tweets.
Follow Lyra LinkedIn account, like and share Lyra posts.
Reply to Lyra bitcointalk thread with questions, comments, or answers.
