Yes - I can now supply at 0.074 each
0.073 for 50+

There are also apparently to be some deals available with USB hubs from FriedCat - but I don't yet have any in stock and I don't know the specs. Hopefully we'll find out more about that soon.

All I know regarding expected delivery is what has been posted in the main Blue Fury thread(s)
i.e https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=299295.msg3289769#msg3289769

Main run will be a little bit delayed because of China holidays causing pcb problems.

So it looks like 'a week' of delay Sad    Fingers crossed as always with mining gear it seems.

I am only handling a total of 80 units for this buy - so depending on what time of day they arrive, I expect to on-ship them the same day or next day.

Do shareholders need to do anything regarding share-transfer?  Is it actually going over to bitfunder or will the share registry be manually handled for now?

64  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: October 07, 2013, 11:13:18 PM
I have an order for boards made from Zefir's batch 2.
I emailed burninmining@gmail.com on 2013-09-27 asking for the status of my order and received a reply on 2013-10-06 from 'Martin' saying:
"Your order is on its way to you.
should arrive on wednesday."

No tracking number or update in my order status (still says 'processing') - but at least I got some communication.

Hi Spudz,

Yes, I still have USBs of all colours - prices as specified in the first post.

Cheers,
Julian

I have a small number of Blades left in the current batch.

There has been a price drop - and they are now 3.1BTC each.
67  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-07-01 Bitcoin Wallet in Africa - www.kipochi.com on: September 30, 2013, 04:47:26 AM

My money is missing.  My support requests unanswered. My transaction list - well.. there isn't one.

Be careful.  Great idea - crap execution. (unless the idea was to just take your money)

68  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 28, 2013, 04:19:45 AM

It is infuriating to pay over 400 Euros for 'express' shipping and not even get any order status feedback.
It's also a sting to hear that there have been a few days lost due to involvement in what amounts to a later project - the bitfury one - when I've fulfilled my parts of the deal by shipping him chips and paying in full immediately for board assembly and shipping.

So, what are the current options - Can I get a mate in Germany to drive over and pick them up?  Are the zefir batch 2 boards definitely assembled and just waiting?

Even on pickup, I would consider the 400+ Euros as owing to me - but I would be happy to take the risk of deferring the debt until such time as burnin is (hopefully) in profit - given the difficult circumstances that are mostly not of his creating.

But *now*, what is the max bet for the whale's second roll?  There are two ways to calculate this and it depends on whether you "trust" Investor B:

If you *don't* trust Investor B, then I think you would say:

  max profit = 1% of 99 BTC + 1% of 9 BT * 10X = 0.99 BTC + 0.9BTC = 1.89 BTC,

and, should the whale lose the next bet, it would only be fair to give Investor A more of the winnings than Investor B (remember, we don't trust that he is good for the "bankroll" he claims to hold off site).

I think if you do it that way, it is exactly the same as if "offsite" reserves weren't implemented at all, and investor B just invested 10 BTC at 10% risk.  After losing his first bet he would have 9 BTC left, risk 10% of it, ie. 0.9 BTC, as in your working above.  The point of the "offsite" reserve is that it doesn't shrink with losses.  He deposited 10 BTC, claims to have 90 BTC more at home, and we take him on his word.

If you *do* trust Investor B, then I think you would say

  max profit = 1% of 99 BTC + 1% of 99 BTC = 0.99 BTC + 0.99BTC = 1.98 BTC,

in which case both investors would share equally in the win.

And that is how it is meant to work.  "offsite" investment is a way for player B to invest his whole 100 BTC without having to trust us with more than 10 BTC of it at a time.  It should be exactly equivalent to investor A investing the whole 100 BTC at once.

So can we trust Investor B?  Or should it be Investor B's responsibility to "keep up his margin" as required.

We don't care whether he really has the other 90 BTC or not.  If he loses the first 10 BTC without topping it up, he gets divested.

The only downside I can see to this is that it can cause sudden changes in the available max profit.  To mitigate that, we limit the amount of leverage investors are allowed access to.

As a way of limiting the leverage - have you considered restricting people's total investment to the max they had deposited at any one time?
That way - they demonstrate they had the funds, by only 'risking' it with you for a short time.
Sure - people could game it a little.  e.g friends lending around the same 100BTC for deposit/withdraw into different accounts - but you're still limiting it to people who at some point had access to that sort of money.

I guess that sort of eligibility criterion favours the wealthy - but would help put an overall cap on use of leverage.. and help with promoting the image of 'responsible gambling' by only offering the higher leverage to those who can afford it.

It wouldn't completely stop the issue of big fluctuations in available max profit... but I guess big investors can already instantaneously influence that quite heavily anyway.

I get about 48 hours before mine crashes. Running cgminer 3.4.2

My test-stack of 16 boards has now an uptime of ~2 Weeks without cgminer restart.
But i am using a rather old version of cgminer.

btw: news in the B'Fury thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=283992

Shipping of Batch 2 is under way, i am too busy to put in tracking numbers (will add them later).

Under way now for over a week?... I made the mistake of paying for my 35 board batch2 order immediately I heard batch1 chips had shipped, and paid for express shipping (all at an unlucky exchange rate!)
Has anyone received any tracking info or even boards from zefir batch2?

71  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [BPMC] Blue Fury USB ~2.6GH/s [Australia/NZ] on: September 26, 2013, 01:25:01 PM
Hi All,

I think I've now responded to all by PM or email.
If you haven't received a payment address yet, let me know.

Shipping & handling (Australia) for up to about 5 units will be 0.1BTC  (I expect 5 units to come in under 500g)

Shipping & handling for 10 units is 0.161BTC.

Cheers,
Julian
72  Economy / Securities / Re: [POLL] Just-Dice INVESTORS: Do you agree with lowering the max bet? on: September 26, 2013, 01:19:17 AM
The 1300 incident is 60/40 Doogs fault. (40 Nak)
This is 60/40 your fault   (40 Doogs)

I think you will soon regret this, as a lot of the other top 10 investors are already are.

I was one of the top 10 investors.. though I happened to be lucky and divested before the latest couple of big site losses.
As I'm probably one of the very few larger investors who happened to still make a profit from investing - perhaps my input doesn't count much - but the risk as it stood was too high for me and I pulled my entire investment out.

Now that the max bet has been lowered.. I'm back in - but I only put 10% back in.

For those trying to get out of a hole, I can see why they're upset.. but to me it's a more reasonable investment now.
I guess this could be a double whammy for existing investors if new investors now find it more appealing and so dilute the share of existing ones.

74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meanwhile on my car... on: September 24, 2013, 10:45:28 AM
Nice, what State is that?

A Fiat as in a play on fiat currencies, very good.

NSW Australia

Yes - and the Fiat was bought with fiat currency unfortunately, but I did ask the seller if he accepted Bitcoin.  He hadn't heard of it but politely said he thought it was interesting.
It was bought somewhat unplanned when I was out of town, and I had to drive a few hundred km back home to get the Fiat fiat rustled together... would have saved me a lot of travelling if he'd accepted Bitcoin!

75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meanwhile on my car... on: September 24, 2013, 08:52:42 AM
I love Fiat! no.. wait.. only the cars - I love BTC! Smiley

Unfortunately you can't do 7 letters in my state - so BITCOIN was out. (But that would have been snapped up by now anyway!)

As for why 999 - well the more BTC the better right!?
76  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Ice-Dice.com] 1% Edge | Made For Mobile | Invest or Play | Officially Launched! on: September 22, 2013, 09:00:50 AM
Can anyone here confirm successful deposits?

Just as importantly - successful withdrawals?

1. Yes: http://blockchain.info/tx/4e87ae896ef9fd9da0766ab671f3bb772337fa7c47f49673e08131b7a0f5626a

2. Still waiting a withdraw of 0.01 BTC to 1BUBrNxAnQ7TFscvret42y7prKQpQaQYsG

Ok - cheers.
I can now confirm I successfully deposited and withdrew slightly more than I put in.  I'll take a punt on this and invest a little.

Still waiting for Zefir batch 2 boards...  Cry
Maybe SebastianJu's batch Shops before?

Thank you for reading the thread.  Roll Eyes

Burnin said batch 2 is shipped.

I have a batch 2 order - but the order status on burninmining.com says 'processing'.  Does anyone else have a different status?
Is he actually updating info on that site any more?
I've received no email updates regarding the order.
79  Bitcoin / Press / Re: Guidelines for Press board on: September 20, 2013, 12:28:28 AM
I consider it very poor form for an ordinary user on the Press Board to post a thread and then lock it... even if you do feel the conversation has gone off topic.   Leave it to the mods.

When you notify us of a press hit in this board - you don't 'own' the topic.
