The plot thickens...

There are/were actually 3 reddish ones.

The earlier ones were a flat red - without the CE markings. The one on the left of the picture. I have only the one pictured - which I intend to keep.
I have plenty of the 2 on the right -  I guess I'll call them 'flat fuschia' and 'hot fuschia'

I know most people aren't too fussed about the colours anyway - but there are a few collectors out there.

I now have all colours except the flat-red on the left.

Including the mysterious "metallic pinkish-purple" colour?

Or is that just what the metallic red looks like?

Yes - I'm calling the pinkish-purple one fuschia now - after advice from style counsel Wink  (My fiancée)
Perhaps I should call the ones with the patterned surfaces hot-blue & hot red?

I don't like referring to them as 'metallic' any more - as they all have a somewhat metallic look.

I actually have 3 or 4 of the flat red if anyone is in need - will only supply 1 per person until they're gone.

my only issue was aussie post doesnt want to work weekends  Angry

I got the blue color and red color on the right. i handt noticed that the left red and blue were different until just now. i might need to order 2 more Smiley

You got the shiny red one on the right of that pic?  Strange - I thought all the ones from that batch were the plain red.
If colour is important to you - let me know and I'll open the individual boxes to confirm, as both the red and metallic red/purple arrive in boxes with the same red sticker.

Julz,
Thanks for the quick BE transaction on Sunday, it was a pleasure to met you in person

Do you still offer a discount to prior customers?

Cheers

Nice meeting you too Smiley
Yes - the discount is available to customers who bought from me or Leo.

For those who happen to be near the lower north shore of Sydney,
I'm generally happy to do a quick meetup near St Leonards station for those ordering Blades, or 5+ USBs.

Ok.. it looks like I've got at least one colour I hadn't seen before.

Now also have metallic pinkish-purple with concentric ridge effect.

I don't have the red one on the left, or the metallic blue on the right  in this pic:

Less than 20 USBs in stock.
90  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Im about to order a Blade Miner- What do i need on: September 15, 2013, 10:48:04 AM
Ask your reseller if they include a phoenix 4 pin power connector. You'll have trouble hooking it up to a pc power supply without one.

I resell ASICMINER for Australia/NZ and the blades arrive from China without these, so I add them for those who buy less than 10 blades.
These phoenix connectors are pretty common and you should be able to pick one up at an electronics hobbyist store for $5 or less.

If you're buying 10 blades at once - you'll probably get a power-backplane board included so you won't need the phoenix connector.
91  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ASICMINER] [Block Erupter USB & New model Blades] [Australia/NZ] on: September 15, 2013, 02:36:44 AM
Price for Blades is 3.85 BTC

For orders of 10 - price is 3.8 BTC
92  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ASICMINER] [Block Erupter USB & New model Blades] [Australia/NZ] on: September 13, 2013, 12:33:41 PM
Now less than 30 USBs in stock.
Orders received over the weekend will be shipped Monday.

I expect another small shipment of a few hundred USBs to arrive some time next week.

More blades (& backplanes for orders of 10) arriving Monday or Tuesday.

This game is great!

Why bother with mining if you can invest into gambling and make profit instantly?

Invest
Instant profit

Pick one.

I mean, in contrast to mining, you start to make profit immediately. You do not need to return equipment and electricity costs.

Wow. Aren't you in for a shock when the maths does what maths does!
Just so you know - at one point I was 15% *down* on my initial investment after just a few days. (Whales won big)
Sure - you *might* make profit 'immediately' - but you might make a loss immediately.
In the long run though - yes, the 1% edge will work in your favour. I'm now back at 10% in the positive.

95  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ASICMINER] [Block Erupter USB & New model Blades] [Australia/NZ] on: September 12, 2013, 09:32:26 AM
Wait until I have them in stock and I've quoted shipping. If your location is within the Australian express post network, and you pay in time for me to get things packed and to the post office by 3pm- it should be delivered next business day.
96  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ASICMINER] [Block Erupter USB] [Price Update] [Australia] on: September 12, 2013, 03:35:03 AM
I have created a thread for Australia/NZ USB & Blade sales: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=292676.0
97  Bitcoin / Group buys / [SOLD OUT][ASICMINER] [Block Erupter USB 0.035BTC] [Aust/NZ] on: September 12, 2013, 03:33:22 AM
Leo has passed on the handling of sales for these in Australia/NZ (and perhaps others in Oceania - ask for quote to see if shipping & handling costs are reasonable)

The old thread, where I've handled some sales already is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=242154.0

I have some USBs in stock, priced at 0.035BTC each.   Minimum order quantity is now 10.
No USBs left.

Orders of exactly 50 USBs include a 49 port USB hub
No hubs left.

Shipping & handling within Australia for 10 to 12 units - 0.08BTC
Shipping & handling within Australia for 50 units + Hub - 0.1BTC

I have less than 10 Blades in stock.
Price is 1.1 BTC each. A green phoenix power connector is supplied with each board.

No blades left.

Please include suburb/postcode in your initial enquiry so I can quote on shipping & handling.
I ship by express post or equivalent, with signature required on delivery.

I prefer to handle communications by email:  asicminer@swishbits.com.au  - but PM here is acceptable too.

Cheers,
Julian

EDIT: For the purposes of exchange rate calculation, I'll now be using the the USD 24Hr sliding average taken from bitcoinaverage.com - converted to AUD on xe.com.    This will give a more stable and meaningful rate.

Currently available colours:  + Black

Note that if colours are particularly important to you - please ask me to open individual boxes to confirm. (For small orders only. I will only sample for larger orders)
The USBs arrive in boxes of 10 with a colour label - but I can't distinguish the 2 reds or 2 blues without opening up individual USB boxes.

The red(actually fuschia?) & blue on the right have a patterned surface of concentric circles which gives a nice effect in the light.
The red & blue on the left are a flat finish.
98  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need help with new Blade erupters on: September 12, 2013, 03:07:10 AM
The new blades arrive from China without this plug.

I resell for Australia/NZ currently in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=242154.0
..and for orders of less than 10 blades I include a plug with each.

You can pick them up at Jaycar in Australia for about $4 each (which is probably absurdly expensive for what they are)

Orders of 10 Blades come with a power backplane - so I don't ship a plug for those.

99  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ASICMINER] [Block Erupter USB] [Price Update] [Australia] on: September 11, 2013, 05:40:58 AM
I don't yet know my landed costs for the next batch of USBs - but at this stage I anticipate selling at 0.16BTC each for new orders & 0.145 for people who have previously bought from me or Leo.
I expect to be able to start shipping these on Monday or Tuesday.

Please supply at least your suburb/postcode when enquiring and I'll quote for shipping & handling (express post with signature required on delivery).

I'm less certain there will be Blades available early next week - but if so I expect the price to be 3.85BTC each.

100  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 11, 2013, 04:48:00 AM
Anyone else have chips shipped to Burnin 2 weeks ago as part of Zefir's Batch 2 and are waiting on a response from Burnin? The only updates I have seen from him are about how he has been processing refunds and working on Bitfury project. Has anyone heard anything about the Zefir Batch 2 chips that were sent to Burnin?

I've tried contacting via forum, PM, email. nothing..

I've heard nothing and am also wondering if they've gone into manufacturing or what.
If so, and there's no option to convert to bitfury ... fine - but it'd be nice to know where things stand.
