1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.21.0 no incoming peers over Tor on: March 04, 2022, 11:04:22 AM
Actually, I am running Tor 0.4.6.9 (recommended) and I get `tor: Add onion failed; error code 513`.

If you read whole thread, @NotATether said error code 513 refer to "syntax error in configuration values". You'll need to check your tor configuration (usually on /etc/tor/torrc) to see any typo.

What was the solution?

OP never update this thread, so we don't know whether the problem is solved or how he managed to solved the problem.

Eventually, it seems there is an incompatibility between Tor v2 and v3 addresses depending on the versions of Tor and bitcoind and Bitcoin Core so when you update Tor you need newer Tor v3 addresses, and when you update Bitcoin you need newer Tor. I am running bitcoind v0.18.1 (stable Bitcoin) and it is running fine with Tor 0.4.6.9 (recommended). I had a lot of Tor v2 addresses in my `-addnode` list.

Actually, I am running Tor 0.4.6.9 (recommended) and I get `tor: Add onion failed; error code 513`.

What was the solution? I could manually add a service but what is the point?

Can not understand. Is that just a scheme and   server is  capable of mixing coins from any numbers of parties or it actually mixes UTXOs belonging exclusively to two parties?  To test, can I mix the coins from my own but three different wallets?
Terminology is a mutex in the lexicography of Bitcoin  where we  equate many views of the same operations with only one truth rather than an expanding model including differential references. UTXO's, true but in the mind of the user that is a wallet address, in many cases several UTXO's a set of even if some are reused.

Let m e establish a testing protocol if you have some Bitcoin to mix anyway and choose to participate. This is suggested because I do not have the answer, there are two intermediate buckets in the diagram, however, an undefined limit of input sources to those buckets, even where the relationship to the bucket is undetectable we suppose, and that the return from a mixing deposit transaction is not immediate but with some delay, so to establish a mixing session and then make multiple deposits immediately subsequent to each other and all greater than 0.005 BTC in value, then to observe or better to analyse the resultant returns. Often, I am mixing en-route concisely with the making of a payment in which case my wallet is certainly disconnected, but, I am still able to monitor the receiving address(es). If you consider?

Spelling aside, you do realise you just wrote a single sentence that went on for four whole lines and contains seven commas?  It's almost as though you've just thrown random words together in the hopes they mean something.  And, it doesn't answer the question posed to you.
The ',' may be used to add clarity - alternatively hyphenating a section may also be used - depending on whether additional explanation is required. The use of bracketing is best avoided and it provides for some readers non-reading sections (rather than to explain and provide inline notes where it is better with -).

I will use this mixer in the future if the administration can apply SegWit address support. Good luck!
Thank-you. Certainly SegWit addresses are supported but at this time not native bech32.
After 6 hrs I receive the coin that I mix with no fee, I fully receive the 0.001BTC and what I see is that, there's something wrong with your calculator at "Mix Coins For Free" page.
Thanks, we decided to leave the calculator alone since the only valid amount to send fo free mix is 0.001 BTC and people should get used to seeing the amount with the fee, which with full service mixing 0.005 BTC returns 0.00406 BTC.
Review: I received the fund. And try to mix it free. At first I confused by seeing minimum 0.005 BTC  have to send. That also noticed by other people here. Unfortunately I send 0.0012 btc with 50 sat/byte fee. It’s seems 135 confirmation from my wallet tnx history. But I did not receive any BTC to my output address. It’s already  20+ hours gone. Even I did not receive the fund back to my sending wallet. So what will if anybody send any big or little amount than 0.001 btc unfortunately for free mix?
Thank you for trying this for me. Unfortunately, for the free mix the amount must be exactly 0.001 BTC or it does not register for free mix and as it is less than 0.005B BTC it is dust to your transaction. It is a little problem and occasionally people find this but it is already announced just to send a precise amount.
1. Bad wording on the mixing page. It should explicit say "If you send less than 0.005 and not exactly 0.001 for the free mixing, your funds will be considered a donation".

2. Cloudflare... why do mixers keep using a US based MITM? This is terrible for privacy and makes me wonder they only care about not getting DDoS'ed for the case of getting more customers and money, WHILE NOT PROTECTING THEIR PRIVACY, which is the MOST IMPORTANT PART!

3. More info should be available in the mixing page. Where the coins are going to and time of the mixing. You can only see that in the letter of guarantee.

I can't comment on what they do with the coins and what happens in the back-end, because I have no access to it. Do they mix your coins and send you "clean coins from exchanges"? They may, they may not. There isn't much to say about it.
Thank-you.
1. Wording on Free Mix Active updated again.
2. TOR connection is available, also CloudFlare allows server inside network secure to accept external connections with no port forward and no opening firewall with special Argo service.
3. You are right, most of that info is on the other pages but on the mixing page you have to rely on the letter but you suppose by then you are already informed? I will see if I can make it print "This address is valid for 168  hours from 2020-08-12 12:48:36  GMT" in an update. It would be good a little technical.

Archived for future reference:  [1a], [1b]

In Australia, the Prime Minister has voiced in the public media that BitcoinBTC is handled the same as a foreign currency but it isn't a foreign currency.

I call you out on that one.  Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been talking about the Covid-19 pandemic for months to the exclusion of nearly everything else.

Where are you quoting from?
It is worth questioning, it was more than months ago. I took note of what was said at the time but, not to create a reference, only thinking how good it was to have a consistent view now, nonetheless, it is in the public media released on free-to-air television, or on MSN or similar, I believe taken in Canberra published not more than three-and-a-half Years ago, and at least eighteen-months ago. The actual words are more like, 'in Australia Bitccoin is (handled/treated) the same as a foreign currency.' and, to explain, it is not a foreign currency and it has not been said.

^ First, welcome to Bitcointalk. I am interested to try too.

Edited:
I confirmed I received the fund I will submit my review later when I am home.

My review:
I have already received the fund on my native SegWit wallet address, 0.0013 BTC but why there is no warning that the mixer site did not support this kind of bitcoin address. There should be a warning include on the first main page of Go-Overt Bitcoin mixer that bech32 and Segwit addresses have not supported. Through this, I cannot give my honest review since I did not even try to mix my coin. I have non- segwit address but dont have  balance. This should be stating before the fund distributed, so that we can use non-segwit address.

Nevertheless, the fund was still on my wallet, I will PM the sender and I will return it back.
Thank you and good luck Go-Overt Bitcoin Mixer team, I hope these all concerned will be fixed soon.
A wallet is a group of addresses. If you wallet has non bech32 addresses that a re segwit ie. starting with 3, or native starting with 1 then you can put through the transaction fine. Otherwise, you can transfer it from one wallet program to another easily.
11  Economy / Services / Re: Go-Overt Bitcoin Mixer review campaign. on: August 12, 2020, 10:52:40 PM
You also don't seem to support bech32 addresses. Sad

Supporting native segwit addresses (addresses which starts with bc1) is good for everyone, Go-Overt and its clients.
Both will save in fees. As transactions fees are a huge deal for any mixer, it would be very good to implement it.

Additionally, if the user wants to mix coins in bech32, this potential client will need to move to another mixer.

I see the simulator is still not working properly. It can be easily fixed by the person who made it. You just need to do something like
if input < 0.001:  #(free mixer limit)
   output=input

I don't know any of Js so i don't know the syntax, but it can be easily fixed with something like that.

In reality, if input < 0.005
  output=nothing: dust
except
  free mix=true
&
  input = 0.001
  output = 0.001
12  Economy / Services / Re: Go-Overt Bitcoin Mixer review campaign. on: August 12, 2020, 10:46:40 PM
This really sounds confusing (through Free Mix):

The wording is very weird ("Free Mix only is 0.001 BTC only to") and I don't really know what I should do. It says the min is 0.005 BTC, but the Free Mix is only 0.001 (?). So, I can actually send 0.001 BTC? What if I send more (e.g: the entire 0.0013 BTC)?

You also don't seem to support bech32 addresses. Sad
If you create your mixing session again you will see there have been a few updates since your screen capture was taken and it now only displays one message either for Full service or Free Mix.

The Free Mix is only for 0.001 BTC to trial the service, to establish trust effectively and so that people can see what the mixing service does.

Otherwise, the Full Mix minimum is 0.005 BTC

It has been discussed there on Jambler's official chat group, the answer is below from the Jambler admin. So the same goes for all Jambler partner mixers who are using their default script.
But at the same time, there is a minimum of 0.005 BTC? So how can I mix my 0.0013 BTC? I don't want to send 0.001 BTC and keep the 0.0003 BTC dust. I want to go all in.

Create a new mixing session using Free Mix and send 0.001 BTC
13  Economy / Services / Re: Go-Overt Bitcoin Mixer review campaign. on: August 12, 2020, 04:42:49 AM
I would like to test if selected.

Funds received and I just sent them to the mixer at 13 sat/byte fee. Let's hope it gets there soon Smiley

My first impressions of the mixer were good. The website says the mixing process will finish in about 6 hours after the first confirmation, which is pretty fast imo.

However, I noticed a few details in the website which were ambiguous:

First, the first screen in the website says that the minimum amount to mix for free is 0.001 btc

However, when I click to mix for free it says that the minimum is 0.005. I think this information is incorrect.

Finally, the simulator shows incorrect information as well. If the mixing is free, I should receive back, at minimum, deposit - fees. But the simulator is charging 5% plus 0.0007 comission (which should not be charged in free, right?)

Please verify these informations in the website, as people who want to mix small amount of coins may be confused.

......

Waiting for mixing to finish.

I will update when mixing finishes, probably tomorrow morning.

***These screens have already been updated since this reply was sent.
If you wish to update your review to reflect what you find now I can provide the following links for you to use but you may check everything yourself if you prefer:

https://www.go-overt.com/

To see an example of the Mixing Active screen
visit https://www.go-overt.com/?mix and put in an address and click on Mix My Coins. Note the details on the Mixing Active screen such as minimum transaction.

Good Afternoon,

Thank-you, I can see that you have started on your review.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5267826.msg54970001#msg54970001

Please note, the information displayed for Free Mix is correct and there are two separate buttons, 'Start Bitcoin Anonymization' for full service mixing and 'Mix Coins For Free*' to trial the service mixing 0.001 BTC only.

source: www.go-overt.com

On the Mix My Coins For Free button there is only one address input and it correctly states 0.001 BTC

 'Mix Coins For Free*'

source: www.go-overt.com

The full mixing service allows entry of two receiving addresses and has a minimum per transaction of 0.005 BTC

'Start Bitcoin Anonymization'

source: www.go-overt.com

On the Mixing Active screen the calculator is still shown but it is irrelevant in the example you mentioned. There is only one Mixing Active screen regardless if it is a Free Mix or a Full Mix you must read the details such as minimum transaction amount. I will add in the text- Free Mix is 0.001 BTC only.

'Mixing Active'

So you're paying 0.0013 BTC but 0.0010 BTC has to be sent back for mixing? Does the participant then get the 0.0010 BTC again after mixing?

4.9% fee is outrageous, that's my free honest review for you.

Most I have calculated are around 5% + 0.0007 BTC

A small saving is significant when distributed across a large number of transactions using the service regularly.

Hello, the community!

Welcome to Go-Overt bitcoin mixer partner of Jambler. We are happy to announce our platforms with the great bitcoin community 'Bitcointalk'. We are more excited to launch a mini "honest-review" campaign to improve our platforms. For the test our mixing service, we will select 10 people who will receive 0.0013 BTC from us to test our mixer.

To know more details you may read our official announcement thread.

How does the mixer work?

source: [banned mixer]

Terms & conditions:
1. Since our test review campaign has limited spots, we only allow applying above Sr. Member. It doesn't mean below Sr. Members aren't experience, we are limited with the spot.
2. Post your Bitcoin address only if you want to review our mixer. We will send the fund to the selected person and we will announce to whom we have sent the funds.
3. We will send 0.0013BTC to each participant to test our mixer. We are encouraging to use "Start Bitcoin Anonymization" to mix coins, (Service fee: 4.9% + 0.0007 BTC) and minimum mixing amount is 0.005BTC. But you may use "Mix Coins For Free*" option if you don't want to use your own funds. Usually; participants will use their own BTC address during mixing so the amount remains after mixing will reward for the participants. Any additional reward will not be sent to the participant for this review campaign. ( Network transaction fees may apply.)
4. The exact 0.001BTC has to send if you want to test on the "Mix Coins For Free" service. So we are sending you 0.0013BTC which would cover your sending fee as well.
5. You don't need to make a new reply with your review, just edit your application with your honest review. Of course, we will be happy to see your honest review and feedback on our official announcement thread, but it isn't part of review campaign and totally dependent on you. We will appreciate your feedback to improve our platforms.
6. This isn't like first come first serve system. We will manually select the participants. You may proceed with further action after receiving the fund.

* Participants will be selected by Coolcryptovator and funds have been escrowed to him. So the funds will be sent from Coolcryptovator's wallet.

What is the need to use Cloudflare's SSL, there are alternatives as letsencrypt...Good for a blog maybe but as a mixer CF is a NO, NO, NO as everything is unencrypted.

Cloudflare is able to know and collect visitors' IPs, what's inside the letter of guarantee, what's the deposit address, bla bla bla
Perfect to get the address source and the destination

Imagine an agency sending a request to CF, the person is busted...

You imagine the operation of the technology that I employ for Bitcoin Mixer 2.0 to be simple like a regular implementation. In fact, it is difficult. It is possible to use a VPN to connect a server to Cloudflare so that it has no external IP addresses and it is a good service, reasonably secure.

Nothing on the internet is impervious to inspection and you should presume all traffic is inspected even if it is not necessarily. That is why people prefer The Onion.

Anyway, what person is busted using a legal service legally? As it is the platform is a modular and mixing Bitcoin cannot be wrong, it is not an attempt to hide from the legitimate government.

It is always good to have more reliable mixing services in crypto space, but I think Chipmixer is the king for now.
You will have to work hard to compete with them, as minimum deposit is 0.005 BTC compared to Chipmixer 0.001 BTC. That is five times more!
Free mixing option is interesting idea but service fee is a bit high for full version (4.9%+0.0007 BTC)

Is there any advantages that I am missing here, compared to Chipmixer, Samourai and Wasabi wallets?

The free mix is to trial service and is only for deposit amount of 0.001 BTC

You have identified one main advantage, it is always good to have more reliable mixing services in crypto space, but you can see on the posts above yours that they admit participants and moderate incoming Bitcoin supply.

0.005 BTC is not very much, likely the amount will reduce as the value of Bitcoin increases.

I have not looked at Samourai but in the case of Wasabi consider that the conjoin mechanism may not resilient to some forms of attack.

Your project is very interesting, but how to verify that you really buy bitcoin from the exchange to customers? What do you have to prove it?
If you inspect the /become-seller.php]Invest Bitcoin with [banned mixer] program you will see easily that the supply is from the real exchanges. I am aware from those working separately on other partnerships with [banned mixer] that they often reject Bitcoin deposits depending on several factors but also the traceable history of Bitcoin in the transaction, for example they may be linked back to a heist or high-risk casino I suspect.

If you buy bitcoin from the world's major exchanges and send it to customers, 5% of the cost is worth it
See above.

Hello, if someone wants to mix 2000 BTC, I would like to ask if you have the ability to mix several thousand BTC in a day?
Each mixing session is open for 168 hours and you can send multiple times, some people have been known to send hundreds of BTC in multiple lots of 50 BTC. Once you send, check your wallet to monitor progress.

Hello, Your mixed currency model is very special. I'm very interested
This seems to be a custom implementation, you may ask in Telegram on the [banned mixer] support https://t.me/jambler

Wouldn't a user achieve much of the same mixing simply by depositing into any number of exchanges on his own? And then simply request withdrawals from all of them. They would at least that way ensure (as far as they can trust an exchange anyway) that they get back their funds. Either way, your service already looks slightly different from the rest if you're promising only "clean" exchanges (that definition's arguable no?Wink ) and a way to "participate" (https://[banned mixer]/become-seller.php).

Where was 1.0 thread? I'd like to have a look =)
I am aware from those working separately on other partnerships with [banned mixer] that they often reject Bitcoin deposits depending on several factors but also the traceable history of Bitcoin in the transaction, for example they may be linked back to a heist or high-risk casino I suspect.

I invite you to trial the mixer and post back with your success, you can see I have attached now also some data to the announcement, however, you can mix for free minus your transaction fee (send exactly 0.001 BTC plus fee) if you use the Mix Coins For Free button to see how it works?

In Australia, the Prime Minister has voiced in the public media that BitcoinBTC is handled the same as a foreign currency but it isn't a foreign currency. Common or general accounting practices show from an accounting perspective a Bitcoin walletBTC is the same as a PayPal account where it holds an apparent balance but is not an Australian bank account. BitcoinBTC is in regular use and is accumulated as a pseudo commodity where the only physical value is perceived by the balance display but it may be held, revalued, and exchanged for actual currency. The technical challenges are few and the workings simple to proceed to use Bitcoin with regularityBTC. Still, it must be mixed if privacy is a consideration.

Apart from choosing a wallet, which for most, an SPV wallet such as Electrum should be chosen for their desktop computer, while the Bitcoin communityBTC itself benefits from the use of a full node such as Bitcoin Core, the privacy is configurable to prevent identification of the internet point of origin through the use of The Onion Router. Thereafter, only address mapping can be achieved once successfully configuredBTC.

In order to prevent interested third-parties from mapping together data if your transactions into a view of your spending income and wallet; A Bitcoin MixerBTC should always be used for privacy and to ensure that retailers and others you interact with on Bitcoin exchangesBTC cannot see your utxo, your change address or amount, or any other recipients attached in a transaction.

Why use a Bitcoin mixer?
https://www.youtube.com/embed/iFyaL7avwJ8

For centuries criminals have been trying to steal from unsuspecting people and merchants. With the publicly available data provided by the blockchain, modern criminals are able to identify and target poorly enabled wallet privacy for more specific advantage when trying to steal Bitcoin. Apart from the use of The Onion router to conceal the internet origin of a transaction the use of a Bitcoin mixer disconnects the movement of Bitcoin between your wallet and the transaction recipient provides the necessary security to prevent public scrutiny. No-one should ever be afraid to pay taxes and honestly maintain all accounts, but with cash the only way to track which notes are spending where is to literally follow closely sand observe which is the same level of privacy provided by the use of a mixer. This passes government scrutiny. It is all transparency because it is published on the blockchain and a transaction set forming a block is easy to publicly model for the elucidation of luminary's using a cash exchange fishbowl with transfer dockets and ten-minute settlement. Using a Bitcoin mixer is mandatory in some circumstances and is a good idea at all times.

How to use a Bitcoin mixer?
Receiving Bitcoin:
Visit Bitcoin Mixer 2.0 and click on Start Bitcoin Anonymization. Enter one or two Bitcoin receiving addresses starting with 1. or 3., and click on Mix My Coins. On the Mixing Active screen you can download the letter of contract with the [banned mixer] Partner BTC Mixing Service, there is a fee calculator at the bottom of the screen, and a send-to address and QR code are displayed to send your Bitcoin. Give the sender this send-to address and the Bitcoin Mixer will mix and send to the address you provided earlier. The minimum is 0.005 BTC and up to 50 BTC per transaction. Each mixing session is open for 168 hours and you can send multiple times, some people have been known to send hundreds of BTC in multiple lots of 50 BTC. Once you send, check your wallet to monitor progress.

If you want to understand the relevance you can make use of Bitcoin mixing regularly, either in when you receive, out when you spend, or both for best privacy.

     in --> mix --> wallet --> mix --> out

It could be that you are buying Bitcoin from an exchange or broker, or you need to receive a payment for goods someone is buying from you. Give the sender the send-to address provided and the Bitcoin Mixer will mix and forward the received BTC to the wallet addresses you provided earlier.

Sending Bitcoin
Visit Bitcoin Mixer 2.0 and click on Start Bitcoin Anonymization. Get usually one but up to two Bitcoin receiving addresses to send to from whom you are paying and enter those in the page. Click on Mix My Coins and send your Bitcoin payment to the Bitcoin address provided. Note that you will need to allow a little extra to cover the cost of the mixing fees, there is a calculator at the bottom of the page. You can send from 0.005 BTC up to a maximum of 50 BTC per Bitcoin transaction and you can send multiple times. Each mixing session is open for 168 hours, some people have been known to send hundreds of BTC in multiple lots of 50 BTC. Once you send, check your wallet to monitor progress.

It could be that you are buying pizza or some new furniture, a Lamborghini or, a new property. Get from the receiver the send-to addresses for their wallet and the Bitcoin Mixer will mix and forward the received BTC you send on the mixer send-to address it provides.
