1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know this early Bitcoin adopter? on: May 29, 2021, 06:54:03 PM
Again, I have said this before and I will say it again. Once people get to know the market (buy now before it's too late) then know this, YOU'RE ALREADY LATE! PEOPLE ALREADY KNOW ABOUT BTC SO GET OUT ASAP AND FIND SOMETHING ELSE THAT PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT!

Oh and BTC did not even reach $100k so you expect me to believe he got rich solely from BTC? Those pictures that you see are probably PAID vacations from BTC profits, but to tell me he actually owns all these things (G-class, private jet, luxury house, etc.)...... Seriously guys?BTC did not even reach $100k  Huh

Right now due to market Manipulation and Volatility we have to change out tactics.

Well said  Wink
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Long Can Dinosaurs Defend Bitcoin?? All the way down to zero? on: May 21, 2021, 07:57:47 AM
It seem like you really hate cryptocurrency based on saying that all crypto is a scam if this is a scam then why you are still in this community? maybe you are just bitter because of the big dip of bitcoin, do you buy at the top? then just hold it, you will really lose your money if you will sell it with this current value, the market is still going strong even this decline happened so why you keep telling that this is a scam. Scammers are always there even in fiat currency, they will really try to do some ways to gain money from other people from fooling.

Not trying to cause FUD or anything but logically I have to agree with the OP on this once.

First, stocks, gold, and fiat are all backed by something (stocks are backed by ownership in a company, fiat is backed by the government's promise that it has value, and gold is a commodity that is accepted worldwide.) What are cryptocurrencies backed with? Oh that's right, just digits (0's and 1's.)

Second, Cryptocurrencies are extremely volatile, not to mention the Satoshi Nakamto is still unknown (something is fishy here.)

Finally, I think the best time to invest is when no one knows about it (something good is about to happen.) If every one knows about it then the gain advantage is over. I'll give a simple example, if you know that X company is about to make something that will change the world, and no one still knows the news then investing now would probably give you tremendous returns. However, when every one hears the news then you lose that advantage (early investment.) The same is happening with BTC. If you invested before 2021 (before cryptocurrencies became hot topic) then yes you would've easily made those 10x returns. Now that big institutions joined the train, Crypto became a hot topic, and almost every one knows about it, it would be too late to enter the market and invest in it and I would recommend you invest in something else (where no one else knows too much about what is about to happen.)

I think BTC will collapse 10 years down the road, and the reason why it's price is going up recently is to attract as much as possible before total collapse. I also am curious about what happened to BTC development team.

Just my thought on BTC. You can take my advise or leave it. The choice is your.
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WTF BINANCE YOU SUCK! on: May 19, 2021, 02:02:56 PM
You can buy Bitcoin on the stock market through Robinhood.  As long as you have funds you can buy instantly.

I'm sick and tired from changing exchanges my friend. If I have to do that 3 - 4 times a year then Cryptocurrency is not practical and stock market brokers are more reliable.

It works. Try to use vpn it should work for you might be connection issue form your internet to their servers.
It can only be that. Binance is working.

Yes it's working now, but when the price fell to $30k it was not working. I don't believe this was a coincidence.

Again, who will compensate me missing the dip? This error was not from my side.
4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WTF BINANCE YOU SUCK! on: May 19, 2021, 01:50:32 PM
I want to buy the dip and Binance will not let me buy BTC at this price. It says trade unavailable. HELP?

Buy it from somewhere else lol.

By the time I do KYC price would have skyrocketed again.

Forget it, I'm officially done with Cryptocurrencies'. Stocks make fewer profits for me but a better option (never had a crash moment trading in stocks.) If you can't manage the traffic, don't offer your business in the first place  Angry

I missed the dip, who will compensate me for that?  Roll Eyes Huh Angry Angry
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enough is enough! Good bye Bitcoin! on: May 19, 2021, 01:34:13 PM
Forget it! I'm out for good this time. When BTC price falls Binance will not let me buy the dip, however, when price increase Binance allows me to pay the premium. Why should I even bother? First my local cryptocurrency exchanges closes, and now Binance screws me over.

I'm out for good. Long live Elon Musk, and no funeral to cryptocurrencies. Twice now I got screwed  Angry

You should calm down, there are many way to use bitcoin. Actually know about bitcoin is one of the best things in this century. Actually I also introduce bitcoin to my friend who works in the same company with me and they ignored it. Now I am the only one who become rich and they still become as they before, no improvement. You can ask trusted member here to convert your cryptocurrency and then send it to you, of course there is a fee for this.

Could you kindly PM me those members for possible future business transactions? This will help me accept BTC more.

Many thanks

Great thread , your right though the bitcoin is useless , only use is forced to Buy altcoins paired with it .

I don't think BTC is useless! I believe 20 years down the road cryptocurrencies will gain mass adoption similar to what happened to the internet and Amazon back in the 1990's where such technology was not used a lot, and today gained mass adoption (same applies to smartphones and Ipods.)

I strongly recommend you read this book to learn more about BTC:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08WZ4P1DY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

But then again and as they say, always do your own research and never invest what you can't afford to lose. Personally I believe there is a bright future for cryptocurrencies. At least they are open 24/7 unlike the stock market  Wink

So I guess the lesson that I will learn here is, if the country is not supportive of cryptocurrency and the businesses that services people with cryptocurrencies, then there would be no way for people to encash and convert their Bitcoins to their local currency. I mean there should have been ways to encash this and put it to your bank account or like a payment app or remittance. But at least you have let us known of this issue and that would be additional learnings for us to be very careful when we are dealing with cryptocurrencies.

I can go to a neighbor country such as Saudi Arabia or United Arab Emirates and withdraw using BTC ATM. The true question is, is it really worth to buy a plane ticket, pay taxi fees, pay for food, etc. and waste a whole day just to withdraw fiat from a BTC ATM and come back home?  Roll Eyes
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enough is enough! Good bye Bitcoin! on: May 18, 2021, 03:11:14 PM
It's official now. The first and only cryptocurrency exchange in Kuwait has closed for good

I have opened an account with another exchange, did KYC but man! the fees are expensive! I had to pay $10 fee on a $500 value transaction (not to mention paying currency conversion fees.)

I think the only solution to pass this is to open a bank account with $ USD in it.

Anyways I will keep this thread open for others to share their input or learn from this experience.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons DogeCoin coin flip Bitcoin in the future on: May 18, 2021, 11:42:45 AM
I am not interested in stable coin. I am here for investment. Although Doge coin will make cooperation with Elon Musk but if I can't get profit from it then it is useless for me. I like bitcoin with it's volatility and deflation. I will buy more bitcoin when it price lower than now.

This is precisely why I'm reluctant on buying BTC. The coin was created to be used on daily transactions, not to be stored and collect dust (literally.) You see, the majority of BTC holders (and there's no shame in that) are in it for the profits, not for the ideology. Only few members here on this forum believe in the BTC concept.

Now getting back to topic, how will BTC gain value in the future if the majority of holders are greedy? This is the main reason why I believe BTC will fail and a competitive coin will take place (or serve its purpose as a global currency.) The whales are also a threat to BTC

As many have said, it is a speculative asset and holds no real value (you are buying it expecting great profits in the future, not because you want to utilize it!)

I think it will be a collectible item in the future (explains why it has value) and never experience mass adoption.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which is Better to invest in (LOGICALLY,) Bitcoin or Dodgecoin? on: May 17, 2021, 07:24:43 PM
I'm still uncomfortable with BTC path/future. I mean, its main purpose is to serve as a currency, however, it is now being used as store of value.

As we all know, it's much cheaper to buy something with credit card (including currency conversion) than to buy with BTC and pay ridiculous high transaction fees. If this continues, how will BTC maintain its value if it lost its main purpose (serving as currency?) Or will it just become a collector's coin (something to brag about to the rich in the future having a BTC in your wallet?)

What if an altcoin pop-up with actual developers that can solve all of BTC issues? Then what will happen to BTC? This is my worry.

I mean seriously, 12 years now and BTC still can't fix its own issues? Really? Maybe Elon Musk did this move to add pressure on BTC community to fix its issues soon to become mainstream? Who knows.....  Roll Eyes
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Which is Better to invest in (LOGICALLY,) Bitcoin or Dogecoin? on: May 17, 2021, 08:36:39 AM
Here is what is persuading me to buy Dodgecoin Dogecoin over BTC, but I could be wrong. What do you guys think?

https://provscons.com/why-is-dogecoin-better-than-bitcoin/

Logically speaking, the above link lists all the negatives of BTC and pros of using Dodgecoin Dogecoin over BTC

The article clearly mentions this:

"Cryptos were not supposed to become collectible items. Over the years, however, Bitcoin became a collectible item"

Edit: Fixed title!
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anybody else feel relieved this dip finally happened? on: May 17, 2021, 07:02:08 AM
I want to buy the dip, but waiting for it to reach $20k.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sweet sweet cry baby tears! Bitcoins long overdue bear market has begun! on: May 17, 2021, 04:02:14 AM
Thank baby jesus... a bear market.  It's been so long, I've almost forgot what to do with myself.

If you want some good giggle... go check out the people crying on Twatter and Reddit.

Maybe Jack Dorsey or Mark Cuban will buy some "cheap" coins at $50,000 a pop... lulz.

It wasn't long ago Mark Cuban would rather have bananas than bitcoins.  Gl investing with that twat sandwich.

Exactly, all the noobies that said this year BTC will be at 100K please go and cry, Bitcoin was already crashing when it reached 42K, if it's not for Elon Musk right now Bitcoin price would be between 10K and 20K, Bitcoin is not the future, other cryptocurrency's yes.

Spot on! I couldn't agree more. However, I have to disagree with the part of BTC not being the future there  Roll Eyes

to be honest I'm not yet sure that the bear market has arrived. in mid-2017, bitcoin experienced a very drastic decline until it finally jumped back at the end of the year and created a new ATH. I think that drama like that will repeat itself and that $ 100K will be made by the end of the year.

Can you tell us why you think BTC will reach $100k by the end of the year? Besides the leaked intel of such price at that time frame? What if the tides were turned around and BTC reached $10k - $20k by the end of the year? Then what?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin's future (and BTC in Kuwait!) on: May 15, 2021, 12:56:48 PM
For those who don't know me I posted a thread last year about my experience with bitcoin.

Recently I noticed some huge interests in Kuwait regarding Cryptocurrencies. People are buying Bit/Alt coins as a store of value and for profits (as opposed to its original purpose, serving it as a currency.)

Now there are few things that I can't comprehend. The Kuwaiti Dinar is the top currency in the world, and bitcoin was created to replace fiat. My question is: How will BTC price increase in value if people are buying it as a store of value (as opposed to using it on regular transactions?) And why are Kuwaiti's buying BTC when our currency is the top in the world? It just makes no sense to me  Huh

I ask this since I'm still reluctant on whether to go back to BTC or stick with my currency, but seeing my own countrymen started accumulating Cryptocurrencies has gotten me lost in this Crypto world  Huh  Roll Eyes

Has any one used this company? I'm trying to find reviews but can't. Thinking between using this company or another company.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what do you guys use bitcoin for? on: May 14, 2021, 06:29:47 AM
I have used Bitcoin to refill my phone balance. To be honest it was more expensive for me to use BTC to recharge my phone than to pay with it by fiat currency, which was truly disappointing  Shocked Roll Eyes

Hello folks!

How is every one doing? I decided to come back here with great news!

I checked the company that I dealt with in Kuwait on Instagram few days ago, and they claimed that they should be operational again within 2 months.

Now regarding my 2.25 BTC unfortunately I sold them at a loss since I never expected the company to resume operations. I'm unhappy with the stock market here, and seeing how BTC prices are falling now hopefully within 2 months when then company is operational the price would be within reach and I would start accumulating more bitcoins.

Indeed I am grateful the knowledge that I received while dealing with cryptocurrencies (and from you amazing folks on this forum  Smiley )

Quote
I don't really understand what you mean by bitcoin can't be turned into cash whenever you want.
Can someone explain about this please?

I meant that since the company ceased its operations it was difficult for me to sell my BTC for cash when I needed cash. Of course I would never do KYC forms and give my personal information to companies out of my country (for privacy reasons) to sell my BTC.

Disclaimer: The company may or may not be operational within the next 2 months. They are still working on that cryptocurrency license. Wish us the best folks, as I'm thrilled to go back and buy bitcoins again.

Thank you everyone for your concerns. I sincerely appreciate it Smiley
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enough is enough! Good bye Bitcoin! on: October 12, 2020, 08:26:13 PM
The closure of the only native exchange site that offers service for crypto to KWD fiat currency is a sad story for all crypto enthusiast in Kuwait but the OP shouldn't have sold all his holding because the closure of the exchange was not because crypto is not supported by the Kuwait government, it was because the exchange site does not meet the criteria of having the license to operate within Kuwait which was what led to their fiat payment providers back out and this may change in the future when big exchange like Binance decide to partner with the exchange in the subject or expand their business.

Meanwhile, you can still trade on other exchanges while you sell your coin for fiat currency through the p2p exchange site.

If you paid attention to the message, it clearly mentions that there is no such thing as "crypto license in Kuwait," so assuming Binance partners with exchanges in Kuwait, how can they operate if the license to operate itself does not exist?  Huh
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enough is enough! Good bye Bitcoin! on: October 08, 2020, 05:00:00 PM
I'm fed up with all this cryptocurrency thing.

First off, I make tremendous loses due to being a newbie in this market. After a second thought (and accepting the heavy loses incurred) I decided to try again and re-invest in bitcoin, only to be told this few moments ago.

I will not risking HODLING bitcoins if they will shut down the first (and only) cryptocurrency exchange in Kuwait. As such I decided to play it safe, incur further loses, and just sold all my bitcoins and getting out of this business for good.

After all, why should I HODL my bitcoins (1.25 this time) when I can't exchange them for cash when I need them? More importantly, how will bitcoin appreciate when exchanges will close in other parts of the world?

I wish I was never introduced to Bitcoin.  Angry

Any ideas on what I should do with my Ledger Nano X now?  Roll Eyes

They do it becouse your kuwait dinar will lose value like it happens now all around the world.
So Bitcoin has more value then your own currency first They ban cryptocurrency in your Country then the next step is Block swift payments becouse no eur or usd holders will not want kuwait currency They will Come for cheap resources and cheap Land in kuwait Once the currency is de-valued.

Bingo! But you miss something. The Kuwaiti Dinar is the strongest currency on earth (has been for 20+ years, so de-valuing the KWD will be tough) which is why I'm in favor of my government's choice of banning cryptocurrencies. I don't think swift payments has any effect on our currency, as I have been making swift payments for a while now  Huh

Also, similar to Singapore Kuwait is a small country, so getting a "cheap land" will be sort of...... impossible for businesses, even if the KWD de-values  Cheesy
