Hi, I don’t know if you saw my post earlier? #6451

How are you modding the bios? With OverDriveNTool, afterburner or hard coding with a bios change?

Thanks.

Just saw your post, I get it that you were using stock bios cards with Claymore and applying straps and rxboost to increase the hashrate. AFAIK Phoenix miner currently does not support "straps" for RX580 (all polaris) cards, so you'll have to bios mod these cards manually (using 1 click bios mods or any other tools) and then try using the overdriventool settings and then you'll get similar hash rates on RX580s.

I would really love to see a screen shot of ANYONE that can pump out more than 30 MH/card on (12+ per rig) RX 580 cards and hash stable for more than 24 hrs. No matter what I try it just will not happen. As soon as I push to 30 or higher, the rig will start to crash. I used to tune individual cards and get higher hash rate but that function has been broken since forever ago. So I would really love to see if anyone out there is actually able to achieve this.

I'm having a serious problem, All 8 of my RX580 8GB goes to 0.00Mh/s after an hour or so mostly when a new DAG is being created. It started happening only after I updated to Phoenix miner 5.2 (I am on Nicehash, Windows 10, AMD driver 20.7.2, also tried 20.9.2). My rig was stable from a month before updating Phoenix miner.  LOL miner works perfectly and TRM also works perfectly. Please Help!
Using Windows 10 1909, AMD 20.11.1 driver, PM 5.2c, nicehash, RX 580 8Gb cards - all fine. Miner works many hours without any problem.

Thanks for your reply, I want to ask how can you be on PM 5.2c ?, Nicehash software only updated it till 5.2b.  Also, can you please give some more details about your system: like the motherboard moel, Amount of RAM, Virtual memory and settings like PCIe link speed, and if you're using Overdrive N tool or MSI or both? And what parameters are you using with PM?

Update the drivers to the newest ones.
I've already mentioned that I tried all the drivers from last year upto the latest one sep 2020 release. Same Isuue.
Uninstall Claymore driver that is used for straps and rxboost perform DDU and install the newest drivers.

See the above screenshot, even the Nicehash disabled the Claymore due to the DAG issue with epoch more than 379. It's a confirmed issue with Claymore. So unless the developer updated it, claymore miner is dead for ETH.

Hello Guys, I have a 8x RX580 8GB Rig stable for last 2 months but from last 3 days it's having "cannot write buffer for DAG" issue.
I'm using nicehash, It is also happening on Betterhash, and I even tried using Claymore standalone mining on a demo address, it still gives " cannot write buffer for DAG ".

I've experimented a lot and observed that as soon as the eth epoch #379 starts to load up, the DAG size becomes 3.96GB and the DAG error comes up, But if it's still working on epoch #368 (size 3.78GB) then it keeps working fine.

I have tested on Windows 10 Build 2004 and also on Windows 10 build 1708 (just to make sure it's not windows update related) and have also tried 6 different Radeon Drivers ranging from Dec 2019 to Sep 2020 but all are having the same issue. On the Phoenix, it seems to work fine and Team Red Miner also works fine.
I have my Virtual memory set to 250GB (yes TwoHundredFifty GB) and I have upgraded my 4GB to 8GB system RAM and it still gives the same error. I've tried using the Gen 3 link speed on the PCI-E bus, the same error. This issue is only in Claymore, seems to me that somehow the claymore is unable to access more than 4GB of VRAM on 8GB RX580 cards. Please, if anyone found a working solution, post it here. Thanks for reading all of it.
