2  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: How can crypto impact agricultural financing? on: September 07, 2024, 11:18:00 AM
Secondly, there is no native blockchain based token that is used for governing the agricultural sector, used for Decentralized Autonomous Organization(DAO) where farmers can use the token to decide, predict and vote on what is actually their own opinion.

I always wonder how cryptocurrencies can be applied in community funding for Agricultural Financing and to curb insecurity in agriculture. Initiatives such as collective funding, rotating savings and credit associations as well as agricultural cooperatives?
The development of agriculture based token will solve this problem, where every farmer as well as producers, consumers and government will have to purchase the token to decide, vote, initiate ideas into the agricultural sector if need be, thereby forming Decentralized Autonomous Organization, DAO. These token can then used by the team for funding, savings, granting loan for developers for upgrading the token and the system.
Your insight on this matter is spectacular and unique although, I still find a problem in this as, the basic level to the agricultural sector is most likely not going to have a part in this.
Given that, majority of these guys haven’t got the slightest idea of what cryptocurrencies is about or this and that tokens. Hence, they don’t get to participate in the event that we have these things in place and am referring to the subsistence farmers whose produce is mainly for personal use.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Draftking fined $19k for a player's $0 win after 20,000 spins on a slot game on: September 03, 2024, 11:12:21 PM
Meanwhile my personal question is, are slot games really provably fair? If odds can be set to zero, and no one be able to win, is it not possible that some casinos might be using this means or method to cheat slot players off their hard earned money?
It is possible and indeed does happen.
That’s why you have some laid down procedures to proving probable fair games and it varies between games and casinos. However, you can’t be entirely sure all the time. That’s why, you need to be very selective of the casinos you play in as, they could tip the scale in there favor at any given time. It doesn’t matter if they are a physical or online casino.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2024/2025 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: September 02, 2024, 02:19:42 PM
Despite owning Klopp's squad legacy, but Slot knew better about United rather than ten hag. If you're watching Slot's post interview, then you would see how he was breaking down Ten Hag's pressing. he even exposed United's tactic to the public.
It’s easy to be smart while doing a post interview,
Where it gets real difficult is when your on the job. I don’t really take much of a post interview or critic on footballers. The case wouldn’t have been much different with them on the job either as players or a manager on the sidelines.
I don’t say this to side anyone but, it’s just how I see these analytics about games after the play. Anyone can be a manager then, a good one at that.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: September 02, 2024, 02:09:19 PM
we as active gamblers today, already know how difficult it is to deal with gambling addiction. so as much as possible we must be able to limit and control ourselves so as not to get addicted.
While the thread might have crafted addiction to be the main cause of gambling losses,

I’m out here thinking, not having to gamble responsibly is what causes gambling losses.

There are those that treat gambling like a career and have a high level of objectivism about it. Addiction might have hit them to that place but, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are loosing. People don’t build a career based on losses. Not saying gambling is a career but, some profitable gamblers do see it that way.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: September 02, 2024, 02:03:28 PM
I agree. If you stay responsible while doing so, everything should be alright. And the experience will come naturally.
When your under a certain licensed gambling age within your jurisdiction, it doesn’t matter how responsible you might be or what your source of income is, you just shouldn’t gamble. It’s the law, your not allowed access to such services until your within the age brackets for it. You’ll simply be putting the gambling site and yourself in trouble if you do.
7  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do gambling sites detect or know your using a vpn? on: September 02, 2024, 01:59:19 PM
What tools do gambling or classifieds sites use to detect or know your using a vpn?
Thanks in advance.
We leave in a digital age where logs are kept on every individual as you login on a service. There isn’t anything strange about that. A lot of users might not be victims yet because they’ve not come under interest but, it’s easy to have you discovered to have been using VPN in accessing the services of a gambling site in restricted areas.

VPN simply alternates IPs. With logs that is kept on accounts, having several of these IPs pinned at different distances locations within a define period shouts VPN and you get subjected to the T&C as it applies.
8  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Restricted and poor support absolving responsibility on: September 02, 2024, 01:53:45 PM

Correct me if I’m wrong but the user that you mention is in-charge only on Stake signature campaign which you can verify their role on the OP of Stake sig campaign thread.

I never saw any user that deals with Stake issue related to players. Stake has their own forum which an admin is more active on dealing with issue like this. So far Stunna is the only user that personally deals with user problem here in the forum but right now he is not active anymore.

Maybe try to ping your manager to see this case.

Your not entirely wrong when you say this only that, you failed to recognize the difference between, signature threads and an Ann thread.
Eventually, stake has both as are many services that are run on the forum.

stake.com do have users that are bestowed upon to manage different sections of its promotions on the forum, while there duties are shared, you would find that, each of them are more than capable of relaying complaints to the support system.

It’s always best chance to take on the Ann thread for your complaints should you not have better chances with live support. That’s partly why there is even an Ann thread. It doesn’t just serve promotional purposes but, also issue resolutions.
Stuna does in fact functions in that capacity still.

What I’ll say to OP is that, I don’t know how long your complaints might have been let on the shelf, you didn’t provide any screenshots of your conversation or what error message your getting but, those might help for better understanding of what the challenge is and how to deal with it.
Also, don’t go about logging too many complaints if their is a time frame for responses. You can be patient with the support to get back to you on mailing services.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Trump Effect, A Warning For Crypto Newbies on: September 02, 2024, 01:16:57 PM
In this sea of cryptocurrencies, people really need to be able to identify between opportunities and some obvious pump and dump schemes. Trump has made such wave in the cryptocurrency industry at the now, following the forth coming US pools of which his a candidate to the point that, master minds of pump and dump schemes have seen it for a way to exploit the people. You would expect him to own one right? Well no! For the many that would have such expectations from Trump, it’s what the master minds of pump and dump schemes are banking on to extort them as we speak.
I would say newbie better to stay away against all these fake Trump coins.

10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best method for Bitcoin accumulation. on: September 02, 2024, 01:09:49 PM
Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) It means investing a given amount of funds at regular interval in a particular investment for a given period of time regardless of assets price.
A not so much looked about detail of the DCA strategy is that, you don’t have a constant amount of money your to invest with and the period isn’t really that regular. That’s a high level of freedom for the investor. You get to do what you like about how you choose to go about your DCA strategy without anyone having to dictate on how it all rolls out. You just have to make sure your not procrastinating and be deliberate about it.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 01, 2024, 10:26:22 PM
Depends where you live. In my country kids can't play with slots, lotteries, and even online they would need to commit and identity theft, which isn't easy to pull off, and even harder when someone is a kid.

I have 2 kids, and it's never easy to controll what they see but they still don't have social media and i wouldn't even allow them to have that before they are 18. I might seem like over controlling, but when they are adults they have time to be responsible for themselves, but before that, i am responsible and i slowly grow their responsibility on what's appropriate to their age.
It might seem that way (being over controlling) but, it’s your kids and it’s important you train them the way you want them to grow and so, it becomes how they model their life.
Kids are such a handful but, it’s the job of a parent to contain all their energy and curiosity.
A little more exposure isn’t always a bad idea and am not talking about gambling here but, social life. Letting them experience certain things breaks the gaps or adrenaline that pushes them to try out certain things when they finally get opportune.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Finding Value ( sports betting) on: September 01, 2024, 10:20:55 PM
I read an article that says in order to win in sports betting in the long run, we need to find value before making a bet. This means we don't need to bet on all the games available because we can't find value in all of them. Since it requires careful analysis based on the information available, it's impossible to analyze every game available for betting. Therefore, it's important to limit the number of bets and make sure that all the bets we make are well-studied so we can come out ahead in the long run.

If you believe in this, from your personal perspective, how do you find value?
Finding value,,,
Well that’s one way to put it but, it’s simply making conscious effort to analyze the game you bet on before going ahead to make a stake on it. Sports betting isn’t casino betting and it offers some privileges to demonstrate your expertise as per, how well you know the game and team.
That doesn’t mean you would always make a win even in the best of analysis.

Now, the accumulation bets is one place to lose in sports betting. It’s an opportunity to pile up those little odds to get some weighty multiplier but, the more games you accumulate, the less your chances of winning.
Chances is that, you can go wrong on one a always is and that’s all it takes to trash your bet.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introducing myself on: September 01, 2024, 10:14:12 PM
You might want to privatize what you can about yourself, the less you give off the better. It’s one of the many things you enjoy about being in this space.

Also, the thread you just created, this introduction kind of thread isn’t one that is all welcoming to a lot of users and as such, it was a little uncalled for but, what the heck. It does come every once in a while if not often.

Welcome to the forum and do your best to stay active and within what’s acceptable.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin recovery got me banned on reddit? on: September 01, 2024, 11:39:26 AM
When it comes to wallets and those having some value in it, it’s with extreme caution but yeah, there are those that are in this situation for real and also, there are those that would want to take advantage of this to hack the wallet of other genuine users out there.
That’s what makes this some worth challenging and probably the reason why you got your account banned on Reddit.

Is there any way I could gain trust around this? I wouldn't be able to run it for free forever as GPU time isn't cheap, but I thought asking for whatever donation the user wanted after a successful recovery could offset the costs.
Since you posted here the only way users will trust you is to gain reputation here. You dont just run a business ( micro sideline) involving funds without trust rating here.

Gaining trust here is the first step towards any form of positive development that might emanate from OP as, everyone is obviously under a watchful eye for some maliciousness until proven otherwise.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin: prehistory and history of its developement on: September 01, 2024, 11:07:16 AM
It was a bad joke from theymos and most likely the topic was a test of the forum's delete feature as topics 1,2,4 were related to the forum test.

Quote
would you mind telling why you came up with what you said?

It's called a joke.  Roll Eyes

Satoshi was shy and from reading emails s/he is not the person who will publish his data before talking about Bitcoin.
Bad joke maybe, just maybe but, I wouldn’t expect someone who is so conscious to have created a system that prioritizes privacy to not be private and put out some biodata or privacy elusive info out there for anyone to have a share of. He obviously built the foundation which we enjoy today, that’s how ahead of time I like to view.
If s/he was a shy person, we probably wouldn’t know right… perhaps some nerd that likes to be on the screen, writing codes.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "Arresting" dead bodies and keeping them hostage!!!!! on: September 01, 2024, 10:51:28 AM
i take no sides in any war/crime. but rationally..lets talk without the emotional buzzwords
(when people stop acting as equal/united humans and instead decide to 'build a wall' and perform segregation, no side wins)

Put it simply, humanity remains higher than what ever is proposed out there as in the end, we are all humans. Cut the many bullshits that surrounds segregation. These naturally exists just for we to be able to know where a person is from and what conditions they are affected by.

Why should humans be this harmful towards ourselves. We are indeed doing all these to ourselves and not exempting dead bodies in all these, it’s just absurd. Let victims in its people, family and friends have some closure. It promotes peace. We need peace in our world.

Like Franky1, I take no sides in the conflicts of regions and advocate for peace.
17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: They cannot make her President on: September 01, 2024, 10:41:49 AM
A female Presidential candidate is a mistake. There is no place for Queen in the prophesy. Only Kings

*Prophesy concerning Babylon
What is this really?

Is this some hate towards women or women can’t be anything they want to?

Well, I don’t subscribe to the feminism idea but also, I don’t believe that a woman can’t be the president of America or any other country. There isn’t any distinctive difference between a woman’s brain and that of a man once it’s surgically removed. It’s all the same, hormones might be different, coupled with environment and association to influence behavior but even a woman can lead.

No woman is putting anyone on the chair here, if she wins in the pools, then it’s the people’s choice and if she does not and Trump wins the day, then that’s the people’s choice as well and it’s okay.

Perish that idea of a prophecy, we are in the 21st century dawg.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? on: September 01, 2024, 10:35:08 AM
The idea of investing no more than you can afford to lose is the same as making sure that you are investing within your discretionary income and not using money that you need for expenses.  Also bitcoin is not guaranteed to be successful, so everyone should realize that he could lose up to 100% of what he puts into bitcoin.  Surely no one invests into bitcoin (or anything else) or even engages in trading with any intention to lose, yet they still need to account for the possibility that they are not using money that they need for their expenses whether expenses in the coming month or two or even expenses down the road.
That’s true eventually as, the idea of how Bitcoin investments should be approached and I agree on the not having a 100% guarantee on it but, it has some guarantee none the less, especially when compared with the many altcoins out there. Bitcoin has more proven guarantee then the lots of them, deeply rooted in its price history and how it’s carried despite many critic and attacks.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will October be the start of the green months to bull run peak? on: September 01, 2024, 10:29:52 AM
It’s normal to be optimistic about every new month to be the month that, Bitcoin would experience a lot of bullish move. Especially with the halving haven’t gone behind us but really, it amounts to nothing really. You can get heartbreaks having way much expectations from every coming month. If your buying and holding, spending just when you have to if you have to, you would care less of the bullrun but, appreciate it when it starts happening and your assets keeps appreciating in value.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: September 01, 2024, 09:39:38 AM
If you are a newbie to bitcoin (and perhaps even in your first whole cycle of accumulating bitcoin, which is 4 years), then you should not be giving any shits whether the BTC price is $57,700 or $59k when you are making your various buys or even entering into BTC for the first time.
This is a habit promoted by lost opportunities. It is event that history can’t be taken out of a field and the history of Bitcoin especially, having to look at it from its price appreciation which backs holding for a strategy, it’s the very means by which, newbie investors build courage.
It becomes eminent that they try to retract to a lost opportunity which is never coming back, asking some ‘WH’ questions as to, something that cost less, they are having to pay even more for a mere fragment at the now. Giving less attention to the fact that, the Bitcoin bought in its building phase was equally not worth so much.

Quote
The more important part is to get started right away and to figure out a plan in which you are able to buy regularly, such as weekly, and even if you are ONLY able to start out by buying $10 per week, do what you can to continue to buy $10 per week, and then to make sure you understand that you are investing within the limits of your disposable income, which means that it is extra money that you have after you have accounted for your expenses.
which is the important part, having to start. If you don’t start, how do you make up for lost opportunities. Opportunities they say don’t seat around and wait. It’s always on the move, evident in the volatility seen in Bitcoin price. You take it when opportune and not wait around. Price would bloom even before you would know it, correct and bloom again.
