Hey there!

Requesting out of the newbie section so I can discuss a website I am planning on making.
I don't mine yet so I probably am not the most experienced, but I do program and read about bitcoins for a couple of months now.

Thank-you very much!

I guess I can keep my isp now Cheesy  I was about to throw out the whole mining idea, when I thought of my slow connection, Smiley  I'll just have alot of downtime... especially when it rains lol

Of course veteran miners do not want added competition.  While most noobs like myself may have indeed missed the boat,if you have the financial resources I say go for it.  Worst case scenario you turn your rig into a captcha typer or web hosting

Before I set up my own mining Rig I want to pose a question to the board:

"Will upgrading my internet from my shitty 12$/year plan with verizon increase my mining performance in anyway?"

I don't know about anyone else, but I would be interested in ajoint venture with the OP or someone else  that would consist off buying high grade hardware like op mentioned and hosting it in like Alaska.

If you get 10 people the price is greatly reduced.  And if we get is good enough may even make some money.  Sure it is a gamble, but a lesser gamble for all those involved.  Don't be greedy now Wink

Alternatively we can have the chinese make a copy...

Perhaps it is the mining client you are using with gui miner.  Can you see the gui miner window?  Or does it totally not work with xp?
