thanks for the feedback, I do not overclock since they keep going down. Maybe I have to underclock! And with watercooling they are 45C so it makes no sense. only 1 out of 4 of the cards on each of my 4 rigs was up today. But if I don't mess with them, in a day or so they will go back up, and others will fall I don't get it.

I have 18 Cores mining for me and almost every day a different one goes down and then, if not touched, goes back up later. XX@gmail.com_B2-1 XX 319957 (0.81%) Prop. If I didn't touch this it would come back hours later, and likely another would go down. I'm Using Linux Ubunutu 11.06 on all machines. Some are ADM32s others are Intells 2100s, my parameters are usuall worksize=258, aggresion=8, askrate=10, BFI_INT, Vectors and I'm mining with Pheonix. Any ideas?

I had the same issue all the way through, I just switched to Ubuntu 11.4 and did it all manually.
I have 64 bit ubuntu 11.4 and my aticonfig shows Adapter 0 and 1 as having core speeds and core temps, but I can only mine using device ID 1, Adapter 2,3,4,5 say ''Error cannot get core speed''
Is this a driver issue? I can only mine on 1/6 cores, Im using Phoenix miner.

What does this mean??
bit@Bit:~$ aticonfig --odgc --adapter=all aticonfig: This program must be run as root when no X server is active
I just bought a new computer, had a computer shop make it, and went through all the steps but I can't tell what number my GPUs are. I am mining successfully on my CPU so it works, but why won't my cards show up?
Nope, not for me, maybe that a1-b17 Pin will work

Oh man so by sticking a wire in those two pins and plugging my card into the PCI1 riser I'm golden? Should I update 10.6 ubuntu?
Hello sirs I heard a PCIE1 is all you need for mining but I can not get mine working on my FoxConn $50 Mobo, is it because its a bad model or is it more an issue with drivers? I'm using 10.6 ubuntu and Sata > 6 pin adapters for power with a PCIE1X/molex riser to attempt to run the card. No avail though. http://blog.zorinaq.com/?e=42 This has been down also and everyone keeps saying the guide was there. Any thoughts?

I think this is way under market I am asking, if this makes sense to anyone please let me know. Hoping to give $100 worth of adwords for 1BTC.
My address below is outdated so let's chat before you accept. If this is as good as a deal as I think I'll take the first offer rather than make this an auction.

I have all the hardware to run cards trough PCI and PCIE1 slots but I am not able to see when when I search through the ubuntu terminals. Is there a guide anywhere?

This was really useful, thanks FAQs. I am wondering if I join a mining pool that automatically pays my shares through paypal would be a danger. Could they send me whatever my proportions are and then later pull that back to their name?
What can I do to receive payment from pools like this, and then make sure I can not have the money taken later?
Is there a max time on how long someone can give money and then take it back, or can it be done any time?

Your running 4 cards on the foxconn mobo by using PCI to PCIE16 adapters and pCIE1 to PCIE16 adapters? No issues in getting software to recognize any of it? If heat wasn't an issue could you run 4 6990s in it or was my local computer shop right that better cards must have good mobos and processors in order to work??

I appreciate the quick reply and feedback, your right I could have explained it better
Basically accounting for all hardware needed to get something working is there any setup that's 3MH/$ invested?
We can get 2MH/$ by using 5850s, buy has anyone found a hardware set using PCI > PCIE16s, PCI1 > PCIE16s and stuff like that that makes your total out lay on dollars get you about 3 megahashs per dollar?

I travel for a living and am often away from my main desktop computer. I setup the BC client with that computer, generated a few pay to addresses practiced with a +.01 transaction and then sent off the same .01 to see how it worked to and from 15kzjgzR862L2vLWNb5P7fBCXwxatsUpkr. I uninstalled the bitcoin client and forgot that I did that LOL, while all the time learning to mine and sending coins to the address which was generated from the uninstalled client weeks before. I sent over 4 coins to it in the last month, and when I connected back to the desktop I realized the program was gone. I re-installed it and it came up with my same original public key. It also still had record of the +.01 and the -.01. But my balance showed 0.0 not 4. If you search blockexplorer for my public key 15kzjgzR862L2vLWNb5P7fBCXwxatsUpkr here: http://blockexplorer.com/address/15kzjgzR862L2vLWNb5P7fBCXwxatsUpkrYou can see that the blockchain shows that that public key's balance is above 4BTC currently, though I can not see any BTC in my wallet. I tried a file recovery software to get my wallet.dat but could not find it. I also tried sending out BC from the client to see if the coins recognized on the block chain could be sent elsewhere, they could not due to my client not allowing it. I am hoping that I would be able to use another method of sending those 4 BC to a new wallet, but is that impossible since my public and private key pairs can't match up after a reinstall? Definitely an odd problem, I am going to try a system restore to see if I can get it working.
