Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins safe?

We should be learning that everything in the world of cryptocurrency is never stable much more those who are using the word "stable" and yes even including USDT which still has to released its full audit promised 5 years ago. And this is a big lesson that FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried are teaching us. This year we are dealt with many platform collapse but the biggest collapse can be USDT in case the many doubts about it can be coming true...let's hope this will not be happening anytime. In the industry that is supposed to be the OPPOSITE of the traditional financial and banking system, one thing we have seen is that it can just be the same. Let's all wish that this painful era can be the purge and cleanse period so that something good can be coming out of it.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Post-FTX decentralized Bitcoin ecosystem

I am really hoping that the big mess created by FTX collapse and people like Sam Bankman-Friend including his ex-gf Caroline...can be teaching us in the crypto industry many lessons for a lifetime that will be staying with us and can snowball into some kind of a general awareness that when it comes to crypto if you don't have the keys you are not in control. From now on, we should not be trusting anyone no matter how good they are in the eye of the public and the politicians. May this can be starting a good revolution so we can choose the best technologies, the best platforms and the best strategies that can be working for our own advantage. I am taking a look at the list of options presented here.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OneCoin - help! (No, not what you think ;-))

I am sure you can find many published materials surrounding the many bad things on OneCoin...and the many people it victimized along the way. As to real facts detailing everything then maybe you need to find someone that was really connected in the inner sanctum of that big scam. Usually, scams and frauds are so tight on real information and people at the helm are controlling everything so that no light can shine on what they are doing. With Ruja Plamenova Ignatova still on hiding, we can't expect facts to surface on OneCoin.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin before the banks and governments do
|
on: November 25, 2022, 03:39:06 AM

Let's not get overexcited especially with the many bad things happening in the cryptocurrency industry. I am sure that there can be some banks - maybe under a subsidiary they partly or fully control - that are owning Bitcoin but I am not sure any bank that is planning now to be getting into Bitcoin. Banks can have a hard time managing the risks with extreme volatility...they prefer something that is stable and sure. Now, I always prefer that it would be the people that will be the leading investing force for Bitcoin though sad to say that retail investors can easily be swayed by FUDs so they can panic easily.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin survive the apocalyse?
|
on: November 24, 2022, 10:21:52 AM
|
As long as there be humans that can survive then am sure that Bitcoin will also survive. Now, in case all of humanity will be wiped out from the face of the planet then unless a colony in the moon or in Mars can be establish then maybe we will not be talking on Bitcoin anymore...unless again you believe in the afterlife but then again who needs Bitcoin in heaven, hell or purgatory maybe. Talking on problems like inflation and anything related to economy, that can be reasons why we have Bitcoin. That's why we should not be discouraged even with the FTX collapse contagion because this is just another bad episode - helmed by Sam and Caroline - in the crypto history and months from now this can be a forgotten one though we are learning many lessons from this one. Long live, Bitcoin!

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi likes Pokemon and possibly where the pseudonymous is derived from

Well, in the world of many twists and turns, the possibility that the name Satoshi can be derived from Pokemon can really be there. Having said that, I think this is just another theory among many candidates and nobody can be sure which is the fact unless the real Satoshi Nakamoto will surface and will shed light to everything related to him, the blockchain and Bitcoin. For entertainment purposes though to pique our interest, maybe this pass well. Now, let's assume that the name was taken from Pokemon character...so what's next?

Economy / Speculation / Re: Cathie wood says 1 btc $1m by 2030 how possible?
|
on: November 23, 2022, 06:53:38 AM
|
In the midst of chaotic platform collapse in the cryptocurrency industry, it is still good to hear someone who is really so optimistic with Bitcoin. And honestly, we have to remember that Bitcoin is not FTX and although this whole mess can be affecting the timeline for Bitcoin this will not stop it. Remember Mt Gox for that matter. Now, whether Bitcoin can be 1M$ in 2030, it does not matter in the end...the thing is that it is here to stay and will be in the future.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright's lawsuit against Kraken
|
on: November 23, 2022, 06:39:24 AM
|
Here comes another funny move from Mr. Craig Wrong...and time and time again he will be rebuffed by the legal system for just wasting its time with a baseless case like this. Good to know that this time the idiotic man decided to go against Kraken which can surely hire a good group of lawyers in response to his allegations and claims. I am sure that Kraken people are just laughing hearing this case and for sure they are taking it as just another free publicity. Will other exchanges also be included in the case...well this can be a big possibility so I am hoping he can add FTX to this misadventure.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail?
|
on: November 21, 2022, 07:55:51 AM
|
Together with his former girlfriend Caroline of Alameda, I am hoping that Sam Bankman Fried will be punished with frying chicken in the jail where he will be landing on after years of litigation...just like what happened to Elizabeth Holmes another scammer to the tune of billions of dollars duped from people whom we assumed should know better. Same scenario...hopefully same results. I know that he had been a big donor to many politicians but if the government is serious in regulating this industry then cases should be build against the man and he should be spending time in jail. We don't need Sam or anybody taking the same path for the crypto industry. Sam is now synonymous with collapse and certainly should never be allowed to do business with cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Balances on Exchanges - Sudden rise in the balance of Binance
|
on: November 20, 2022, 01:57:35 PM

I am considering this as just a small proof that Binance and its CZ made the right choices when it comes to the FTX debacle...and though many people may not look CZ favorably yet this exchange platform can be coming out to be the real and big winner in this market war. FTX loses and Binance wins. But the next question is: Will this be another big win also for the people who are into cryptocurrency or maybe this is just another day of doing good business for money?

on: November 18, 2022, 03:14:53 AM

I am sure Elon Musk is not going to be interested in buying a forum that is focused on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. Remember that Elon Musk is a businessman...he will not get into anything if the possible return on investment is not going to be high. He bought Twitter because he can see its potential to add more financial clout on his part and I can feel that he is also looking at it like a toy that can boost his popularity and reach of audience. He will not gain those if he is the owner of this forum. Besides, this forum is not for sale, anyway.

Right now, CZ is taking advantage of the situation by presenting - branding - himself as the clean guy and for now it is working as his platform is poised to be the major player in the crypto business. Well, he knows business and I am expecting that all the time he is always attuned to his entrepreneurial spirit using some punches along the way to clear the path towards Binance domination. Speculations and theories are abounding as we are witnessing the fall and the aftermath of FTX/SBF collapse...days from now we can see which other platforms are severely affected by this development and which will also be declaring emergency and bankruptcy. Can this be the needed cleansing of the industry and will this lead to clearer and stricter crypto regulations? The answers to these questions will be slowly revealed to all of us as months go by...

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF said: WHAT HAPPENED?
|
on: November 16, 2022, 02:53:18 AM
|
At the height of Sam's popularity, he was then considered as undeclared hero and even a savior for the cryptocurrency industry...because at that time there was no one checking on the things he and his people had been doing. They made so many illegal moves which later on led to the collapse of the whole business especially FTX. Now, we are starting to see that Sam is indeed just another parasite in this industry...someone who is here just for the money and without maybe realizing it he induced one of the biggest chaos we ever faced. Sadly this will nailed the trust and confidence bestowed by the people to the crypto industry...and I would say that after FTX things will never be the same anymore.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian authority freezes a whole lot of bitcoin in respect of defrauding

The fallout induced by the collapse of FTX is now starting to make some ripples on many places and platforms. Right now, am sure many countries are looking into how they gonna act with this development and then maybe thinking on how they can regulate the crypto industry, its players and to protect the investors from people like Sam Bankman Fried. Eyes of the government are certainly getting wider and wider and gone can be the days when of the Wild, Wild West for crypto...regulations are coming in and there is nothing that can stop it. What we are seeing in India can just be the start of many more things to come.

Speculating which platform will also fall just like what happened with FTX and its SBF can be a very risky business. While I agree that we should be exposing frauds and those practicing mismanagements to the detriment of the people who believe on them, speculations can also be hurting those which are doing the right way. In the past, brands and businesses were wiped out due to uncontrolled speculations and rumor around them...with many became victims of circumstances rather than the making of their own.
But since we can never stop rumor and the short sellers, all platforms involved with cryptocurrency should now start to be transparent and to provide the market with Proof-of-Reserve which Binance is now championing - which has a little irony on it but can be a big signature of CZ - so as to stop unfounded speculations that they can be the next in line to the chopping board. Right now, we don't know what can happen with the crypto industry after the smoke is gone but we are all hoping that this latest big debacle will only serve to make it much resilient and stronger into the future.
