1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / how do miner picks transactions for candidate block on: April 09, 2023, 10:33:22 PM
i'm a bit new on the ground. trying to explore how does it work in theory?
when miner selects transactions for candidate block, they usually pick transactions with higher fee. can they pick any valid transactions with significantly low fee? if they can, how all these things work? is it manually adding a list of transactions? or automatically? i guess if it's an automated process, miner can't pick low fee transaction at all but i read that miners can include any transactions they want for the candidate block.

But since we're talking about life savings here, I really don't see why you wouldn't buy one yourself instead.
that's not the case. as you can see, my motive was to learn how actually i can be sure that i'm not going to get fucked? it's my quest to learn the procedure.
3  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / how to do a security check for ledger nano s on: March 09, 2022, 03:28:20 PM
right now, i'm using trezor hardware wallet for almost a year. it has been a fantastic experience so far. i had never planned to use other wallet. but i have one friend who has invested in bitcoin long ago. we had shared a lot of plan, ideas, opinion with one another. at some point, i mentioned my long term plan about bitcoin that i'm planning for holding bitcoin for next 10 years, will buy a hardware wallet for that. recently, i had my birthday and surprisingly, he gifted me a ledger nano s and asked me to use that wallet for my long term plan.
i don't know why i got a bad feeling. i have read we must not use a wallet unless it's from authentic site.
how would i know i'm not going to be tricked by my friend. i trust him a lot to be honest, i know he isn’t going to betray me but there's nothing wrong to be sure that there's nothing wrong. how can i do that? how can i be sure that i'm not going to use a wallet with bug/malware installed to fuck my life savings.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: wrong address on: October 03, 2021, 07:07:26 PM
i don't usually share private info. sorry if it sounds weird to you. i can't share you the transaction details with you though the wallet isn't a private one. i use this wallet for small transactions only.
i'm using electrum atm. afaik it's safe. i have downloaded this from authorized website- electrum.org
i had no transaction within last few days other than the one i sent to my friend. i didn't have any other bitcoin address around at that time.
is this info enough? i guess you are right that i have been infected with malware. gotta get out of this.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / wrong address on: October 03, 2021, 06:49:51 PM
i don't know how the fuck i did that holy shit. i was trying to send 0.01 btc to my friend as he wanted to check out how bitcoin works. he sent me the address last night. i had the address copied and pasted in sending tab and sent. but my friend said he didn't receive. when i explored, i discovered i sent in a wrong address. how the fuck that shit happened? i still remember i had the address copied.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / bypassing bitcoin core sync process on: December 29, 2020, 05:21:31 PM
i have downloaded the bitcoin core app last night and started sync but it just has got 9% of the blockchain in total. why is this slow as hell? looking for ways to bypass the sync process for bitcoin core. i have found electrum to use as alternative but read bitcoin core is the native wallet and have better features, benefits than wallet like electrum.

my 2020 achievement- i purchased bitcoin.

this is the first time i have invested in bitcoin. i had planned to invest in 2017 but for some reason, i didn't and later i felt like i did the right when i saw bitcoin was falling. it took me almost 3 years to learn that 2017 was not a bubble, we are probably entering in a new era and i didn't want to miss that. i had read a lot, planned a lot. i had seen people talking about bitcoin everywhere.
so, finally, last month i had purchased bitcoin. it was  one of my great investment so far. still i'm holding.
