1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 15, 2014, 02:17:34 PM
^The exchanges have some problems, because they were using the old code with smaller fees and their transactions will be included only by the miners also using the old code. Those changes are 16 days old and most of the miners changed their code on 30th of May and just a few miners (and one of the pools?!) are using this old code. The miners using the old code are mining blocks with little to no reward (~0.3 XMR for a mined block?!). This problem started about 30th of May for the exchanges and I wrote them back then to update, but they are little slow with such small issues. Their transactions somehow got mined till now, but it's getting more and more unlikely and their transactions are stuck in the mempool (will be mined or will get eventually returned back to their wallets sooner or later). The exchanges are finally working on the problem and the devs are helping them in #monero-dev. This will be fixed sooner or later and we should receive our XMR.

About the exchanges "didn't notice the change in the tx fee from May 29th":

05/30/2014 Me: "Yes, finally it did. Did you upgraded bitmonerod to the final version? There is a higher tax in the new daemon and it seems your transactions are not propagated and accepted from the network. Thank you."
05/30/2014 Bittrex support: "We have no upgraded yet... I'll make sure to add that to the list."

Then Mr. Richie Lai is either a liar or ill informed.

Me Yesterday at 20:15

Thank you. Is there an ETA on when either my coins will be showing up in my wallet or you refund them to my account? Here is the announcement from Bitcointalk:

"May 29 - Mandatory upgrade to 0.8.8 to fix an overly aggressive block size penalty. Please do not send funds using the older version of the wallet software, as it will use the incorrect fee, and your transaction will take several days to either arrive or fall out the mempool.

Seems you guys are a few weeks behind.

Richie Lai Today at 04:11

Yeah , we've had the upgrade for a while, but the txfee change wasn't something we caught. We've been working with the devs on this all night. Hoping to get this resolved soon.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Richie

realy like the coin and the whole concept , but i am busy with it now for two days , i create 2 wallets (simplewallet and gui)  start mining it and buyed some .

still  2 days after retrying to withdraw from bittrex and waiting for miningearnings i have still 2 empty wallets , it 's a little frustrating

but i am a noob in this whole world and for sure in this coin ,but still trying and waiting till all works

great coin again

but happy to have some on an exchange

Apparently the exchanges are having issues because they were using too low of a transaction fee.  Bittrex support told me they were already updated to the mandatory code but didn't notice the change in the tx fee from May 29th.  I find it hard to believe though.  Doesn't the daemon set the tx fee minimum?

@beavis4ever
So is it a bug then?

@equipoise
Yes, that would be the best way, but me and linux, we are not a very good friends,
once I've been trying to set-up a pool, but It's a big headache and too many sleepless night
without any result. Yes, this is my commitment for this year, to learn, how to built and manage a pool.

I believe so.  Same thing happened yesterday, and I got paid.  It may be the daemon is stuck.  The the last two blocks were found at about the same time of the day, just 24 hours apart.

@beavis4ever
extremehash.com too many orphans, need 120 confirms instead of normal 60
[/quote

Those orphans are not recent.  They are from before, when all pools produces many orphans.  Also, I believe you are also incorrect on the number of confirms.

Guys, please use other pools, otherwise we will end up like bitcoin with it's ghash pool.

can you recommend me some?
.fr problem with payouts, moneropool.com same issue, minergate, better not saying anything,
my hashrate is 10kH, pool should be 100-200x bigger than your hashrate, what I've red,
so now be clever, because I'm not.

extremehash.com? 10% bonus

Hello all , i am totally new to this coin and after a lot of reading i new have two wallets , the simplewallet and the crptonotewallet ( i am a noob i guess) , i buyed some coins on bittrex and try to send some little amounts , new i now it was to little because i send 0,1 ,minus de trans.fee they sent less then the 0.1 that is neccesary so new i try to sent 0.5 to my cryptonotewallet but it also did not arrive , is it possible that it takes some time before the coins came in my wallet?

please some help , tanx anyway
It might take a little while before the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain.  How long ago did you request the withdrawals?

5 till 10 min. ago , tanx for the fast reply

I have a transfer from Bitrex to my wallet that never arrived currently.  It was for a much greater amount than yours though.  I have a ticket open, but so far all I heard was they show them as sent.  Yet the txid isn't found in the blockchain.  txid 7c626ba76a822e0e474303b7fe7b80a79ccb90464cc1e1818a7ee0a1f2d01bbd if anyone can help.  I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with Bitrex.

BTW I do not think the hashrate represents "real value", at least on my i5.

My hashrate on the minerd goes between 80-220 h/s. Minergate shows 50 hash/s on average
A 20% more powerful PC using 4 simpleminers result in 100 h/s on Minergate.

He found 124 shares where I've found a whopping 57. More then double the gain using simpleminer. how can I trust the hashrate shown in the minerd?

The shares are most likely being submitted at a higher difficulty, which should have more value to the pool.

Why are the lower hashrate miners receiving larger payouts when they've been mining for the same amount of time on the same block?

Gotta be careful reading Smiley  that's MH and the others are KH  Smiley

Yes you gotta read well too:
2.31 MH Predict Payout : 0.017
708.09 KH Predict Payout : 0.083
I think that what he want to say!

 Tongue

Ah, you know I know it came across smart aleck like, but I totally didn't mean it to, sorry.  Should have said "did you mean the difference between.... blah blah"  sorry!

I'm new to p2pool but I believe you are only seeing their hashrate on that node.  They are probably using multiple nodes and have a combined hashrate > than 2.31MH.
