plenty of people play, if not there wouldn't be one starting every 2 minutes

plus I think people wrongly believe you have to be first....
264  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is ATI so much better than Nvidia? on: June 25, 2011, 03:01:07 PM
odd isn't it.

nvidia is 10x better for gaming. Power hungry - better drivers

ati = float math

I must dissent, i have a ATI 6950 and i bought it for gaming and it is perfect for that.

Agreed

it makes you wonder why the ATI reference cards have the only fan positioned where it is going to basically sit right on top of the second card in most motherboards....

I had the same issues. On my mb the first 2 pci-e slots were just too close together so I moved one of the cards. I'm now at about 76 and 62 respectively.

To your situation I don't think 82 is all that bad. Sure could be better but its not horrible. Heck I had my first card run at around 91 for 3 weeks without a hitch until I got some better fans.

I would set the fans manually probably. I have both my cards fans set to 65% and that seems to keep the temps consistent.

hi all, just another semi-newb. Been lurking for a while, starting mining 3 weeks or so ago - having fun if nothing else.

Currently running a 6970 and 6950 non-xfire on deepbit

Cheers

Have you tried adjusting the voltages of the 4 cards? perhaps it's a PS issue?
