7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners calling it quits? on: July 06, 2011, 05:25:50 AM
I plan on mining until mining doesn't pay anything at all. I even plan on purchasing 2 6990s to throw in my main computer for it, then building a second computer as a miner. Why? cause bit coins allow you to freely trade on the net. I could buy my next graphics card from some guy in Europe, where he may be able to get it cheaper there than in the US, and not have to worry about money exchanges. All that needs to be done is to professionalize it a little, then it will skyrocket.

I mean, I know people who's tamagotchi is still alive.

Damn really? I had one of those when I was in third grade, it died in a week, how the hell do you keep it alive this entire time?

13  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crysis 2 Tournament on: July 02, 2011, 05:40:08 AM
depends on what system we are talking about.....i only  have crysis 2 for ps3

if you are looking for a pc shooter that most people (on steam anyways) are going to have, tf2 is the way to go.....

Ill look into tf2, there does seem to be some interest in this, Ill sit down and come up with a date/time for the tourney as well as some official rules. If its popular enough I'll run a weekly tourney
14  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crysis 2 Tournament on: July 01, 2011, 08:24:59 PM
well i can look into other games, I havnt player shooter competitively sense medal of honor allied assault so i dont know what the more popular ones are (I just beat crysis a couple of weeks ago so it was the 1st one to pop in my head), right this second I can set up servers for crysis, mohaa + expansions, counterstrike source, battlefield 2, red orchastra, I cn also find a way to moderate racing games such as NFS world, most wanted, carbon, underground 2, just to name a few. And of course there always is starcraft and misc MMO tournies (PVP tourny in wow namely, or in eve too).
15  Economy / Gambling / Crysis 2 Tournament on: July 01, 2011, 08:03:21 PM
Just wanted to see how many people would be interested in a Crysis 2 Tournament, i was think .25 BTC buy in and have 10% of all buy ins go to bitfaucet and another 10% go to the server admin/ref for there trouble, and 80% to the winner.

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me setup dedicated rig with 5830 on: June 30, 2011, 09:01:08 PM
You don't really have to worry about getting the greatest motherboard, you can run all this hashing on PCIx1.

Yea I guess that does make sense, dont really need to transfer the data fast. However I was more referring to the reliability part, don't want a MB that will dies in a couple of months.
