Update April 12th 2024: Unfortunately the Reddit forum is not up anymore because of low activity. The Timekoin forum on the website isn't either. I'm still in contact with KnightMB to get things going again as far as exposure goes. Timekoin is not listed on any exchanges yet, so the Timekoin price you see on the website is not the price on the free market. The actual price can only be determined by the market on exchanges. Timekoin is now running on its own network with servers. If there are exchanges that want to list Timekoin, you can send a message on this link: https://timekoin.net/index.php/contact |

What's new in Timekoin? 1) Election fee to generate currency for servers: Your server must pay an election fee to all unique generating servers before it can be considered for each election as a new generating peer. This fee is the number of generating servers in total. Example; if 5 servers are generating currency, then each one must be paid 5 TK before the peer election starts. Your server will do this automatically provided you have enough total balance to cover the fee. The election fee now at August 18th 2023 is: 1144 TK. 2) Non generating hours limit extended from 4 hours to 8 hours for generating servers: The server may continue to generate currency as long as it stays online. If the server does not generate currency for 8 hours, the Timekoin network assumes it has gone offline and the server key will be removed from the Generating Peer List. Once the server comes back online, it will need to be re-elected before generation can begin again. 3) Lifetime generation limit of 100,000 generations per server: All Timekoin servers have a lifetime generation limit of 100,000 transactions tied to the public key. After this limit is reached, they can not generate currency anymore but can continue to collect fees for network processing like normal. A new server key can be generated to start the process over again if desired. This means that no server is immortal in Timekoin. 100,000 generations is about 5 years of generating currency for a single server with continuous uptime. Check out the https://timekoin.net/index.php/tk-charts regularly. The total daily transaction amounts increased the end of last year and still showing on the site (last 19 days showing on the site). Minor issues have been ironed out and additional improvements have been made past months through software updates. Right now the Timekoin network is quite stable. The amount of generating servers has increased considerably. 92 generating Timekoin peers at the moment on a total of 122 Timekoin servers. Database size 6.647 GB. |

The timekoin.org site is offline. There was talk about continuing with a fork or so, but I don't know the status. It's dead for now.

Hey everyone, It's been a long time since I posted. A lot of stuff happening! I've just posted a new service of mine on the New Services board to promote services/products etc to trends on Twitter. My site is online as of today. Too many posts to go through here. I'll be lurking and posting occasionally here . I think I have some catching up reading to do. hi....well, I'd grab a cup of coffee or 2 and be prepared to practice your speed reading skills. Thankfully the mod's are trying to keep a handle on the brutal trolling we get here. There are certainly some good tidbits though... c ya around!
