121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday? on: October 21, 2019, 05:17:29 AM
There is a big chance in the future that Bitcoin won't stay at number one. Not only Ethereum but the other projects also like IOTA, Ripple, ADA and many more. Ethereum is just the main front runner now to unseat Bitcoin because it stayed in the second spot for years. But Bitcoin has a chance to continue being the king as it also scales. Bitcoin proved to be the best when it comes to security.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do economic indicators favour Bitcoin ? on: October 21, 2019, 04:52:04 AM
Present economic conditions is favoring Bitcoin. US vs China trade war. Brexit in EU. Turkey's new sanctions. Venezuela's economic and political mess. These events are affecting most fiats directly or indirectly. Some financial analysts will pick the neutral Bitcoin over these unstable fiats. Bitcoin is unstable itself but free government politics and nations drama.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 21, 2019, 04:40:19 AM
I'd been generous my whole life. When I have enough money and I can see someone direly in need then we should help. Be it from gambling profits or not. I didn't experienced winning a lottery so my donations are limited. It should be easier to donate gambling winnings to a charity since it is free money out of luck.

125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: October 20, 2019, 10:42:56 AM
A big mistake? I don't think so. A big mistake is thinking that something is definitely going to ha=ppen. Actually, many people lose big money exactly because of such way of thinking. They bet $1,000 on a team that, according to the majority of bettors, should win the game, being absolutely confident that after the game they will be $100 richer(1.1x multiplier), and lose $1,000 because of bad luck. Haven't you read such stories on this very forum? I've read tons of them.

If the vast majority were always right, anyone with $1,000 could stop working and start living off sports betting alone. But the reality is that you are very likely to lose at least one bet within 10 bets with 1.1x payout, and thus your overall profit will be slightly negative.

Correct. And the house-edge is always there. If 10 people will bet $1,000 each at 1.1 and no one bet on the opposing team, there is a high tendency that the 11th bettor onwards won't be receiving a 1.1 odds. The odds will change from 1.1 to 1.09 or even lower.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STEEM will rise again on: October 20, 2019, 08:46:26 AM
Or maybe Steem valued at $50 million is good enough? For the last three years, is there a big development for Steem? The potential for Steem is very high but it is up to their developers how they market and compete. Youtube and Facebook keep on changing to adopt what is necessary. Steem needs to be more aggressive. It's been over a year since I checked my Steem account and I say there are still a lot to be done for these bloggers and social media people to consider Steem.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 20, 2019, 08:23:39 AM
Emre Can be upset this evening because he was expected to join the game as substituted but the mister choose another one.

I will not surprised if he will leave in January.

The Dream is

Allegri
Emre Can
Mandzukic

to Manchester

Paul Pogba

to Juve in loan to June and oblique to buy for 80 on July
Pogba is unlikely to be sold or loaned to Juventus. Pogba and Zidane's meeting photos were spread, but I don't know what they discussed when they met. Seeing the news that Zidane wants Pogba it seems like he is going to Madrid, not to Juventus

If Pogba goes to Juventus or Real Madrid, it doesn't matter in my opinion. it will still be good for his career going forward, if he stays at Manchester United. That's what will happen, there is no progress at all for Pogba. So it is more appropriate to go from there.

Pogba to either Juventus or Real Madrid please. Both are great teams for him. Juventus with Ronaldo and Pogba would be great. But joining Real Madrid is even bigger. El Classico becomes tougher for Barcelona to win with Pogba. And watching them in EUFA would be much fun.
128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Day Trading for a Living? on: October 20, 2019, 08:01:23 AM
I seldom see people that trades saying they trade for a living. I known some that have no jobs but they have their own business too. The other full time traders are acting as gurus and are selling their strategies. I think they earn not because of trading but because of selling their strategies which probably didn't do well. No need to speak in front of many people and travel on time when you can just chill anywhere in the world trading. So you are right. There are only a small percent of people that trade for a living.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best time to keep investing? market is crumbling again on: October 20, 2019, 07:29:01 AM
Just buy slowly little by little with your extra money. Crypto investments will pay off soon. ETH, BNB and BTC are good coins to pick. I am also starting again slowly this time to buy them and some more coins of my liking. The market may crumble again but these coins are reliable and are competing to become mainstream despite the bad market.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs ADA on: October 20, 2019, 07:13:16 AM
It is tiring to see these shitcoins saying they will topple bitcoin, they will topple ETH in the second spot. But until now no one is overtaking ETH in the second spot. Look at ADA now? It is down below top 10. Maybe it is the second coming of NEM. All hype. Grin
131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 things should not be too in trading on: October 20, 2019, 06:47:56 AM
Some peoples words don't matter to some. In trading we have different strategies that works for us. These strategies don't mean to work to all. This is why it is hard to comment on other traders when they are doing great. Multiple trades daily incurs many fees but so long as these traders are gaining and piling profits then they are doing great. I saw someone that have minimum of 10 trades daily in forex and he was doing great. He may lose some but he offsets it on his next trades.
132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons why I am buying Bitcoin!! on: October 20, 2019, 06:22:58 AM
This is my top 5 reasons why I am buying bitcoin:
1. Because it is decentralized and I can do whatever I want.
2. Bitcoin for me is still undervalued and I am confident that this current price will be multiplied in the future.
3. Bitcoin is easier and less hassle than scam banks and other financial forms.
4. Bitcoin as a decentralized form cannot be controlled by the banks and the governments.
5. Bitcoin supply is fixed unlike the unlimited paper fiat money generated by banks and governments.
133  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: October 20, 2019, 06:06:51 AM
Crypto currencies are very volatile. Stable crypto currencies are in the top 20 but still very volatile compared to fiats. But we all know that there are already businesses that accepts them, particularly bitcoin, eth, bch, xrp and ltc. And we better expect that there will be more establishments that are accepting crypto currencies in the future even with this volatility level.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 20, 2019, 05:51:46 AM
What is happening to Tottenham, they are increasingly declining performance. Even Watford's classmates can hold Tottenham at home, which is something extraordinary for Watford. And the big question is why is Tottenham like this?

Watford playing at home always can score at least one. Tottenham is the problem. They were having a bad off-night. They barely held it to a draw. This was very bad. Harry Kane had good run at the Euro qualifiers and I thought he can score easier. Is Tottenham following Manchester United's road?
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 19, 2019, 08:51:16 AM
Ole won’t last the season imo but it’s going to take a lot more than a constant managerial merry-go-round to return Man Utd to their former glories. They need to change a lot including player recruitment.
The reality is now hitting them so hard. They just don't have enough patience and it's a big problem.  Look at Liverpool and Klopp, they gave him enough time to build a team despite losing so many finals and being trophy-less for a number of seasons and now they are now one of the league favorites.
Even one of the best, Guardiola had a rocky beginning at Machester City. IMO, Mourinho was the best Chance United had to revive their past glory but the got to impatient.

Did Solksjaer did really made United better? He is not fond and later would let go on Lukaku and some players. Solksjaer revamped United and probably more to come. They are waiting to sign another players as what we are seeing as they have the money. But then there are new rumors of Paul Pogba being courted to play for Real Madrid. This maybe too early but if ever Pogba is out of United and Solksjaer fails to sign another reliable players then it seems his days in United are limited. If I were Pogba, I would also pick Madrid over this disarrayed team.
136  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic situation around the world and Bitcoin on: October 19, 2019, 07:01:05 AM
I do think that the current economic situation directly or indirectly affects bitcoin. There are more companies and people that are investing into bitcoin as it is decentralized and has limited supply. There were even news before that Kim Jong-un was giving orders to mine bitcoin and other crypto currencies. North Korea was imposed with many sanctions that time including its export and limited import on oil. This was the time when Trump said that bitcoin is for criminals and underground activities.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 19, 2019, 06:35:00 AM
I think that while everybody is talking about Manchester United vs Liverpool game tomorrow let’s not forget about today games.I think that Tottenham vs Watford is a good game to bet on both teams to score and Tottenham to win the game while the same can be said for Chelsea game.If we add the same betting to Manchester City too then the odd becomes quite good and is worth a bet with this triple selection.

Watford indeed is showing that it has high chances of scoring when at home. I don't know but I just simply bet on Tottenham @1.41 earlier. I could have added Chelsea for a parlay. After losing many bets this month I am beginning to take the safer bets but with lowers odds.
138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should move to BTC? on: October 19, 2019, 06:02:55 AM
I prefer bitcoin over xrp. But you can hold them both. Don't hold purely xrp because bitcoin for a long time remains at top and xrp over the years cannot even make it close. So make bitcoin are you main crypto currency. Maybe you can make it 75% bitcoin and 25% of your money for xrp. If in case you want to hold more altcoins then make sure bitcoin is 50% and let your other 50% divided among altcoins.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have a $ 500 fund you want to make a profit on: October 19, 2019, 05:47:46 AM
I have $ 500 or more, is that enough to invest or trade daily ??  Do I need to buy cheap coins or expensive coins?  I want your opinion for me as a newbie.

Leveraging with a $500 day trade is enough but the risk is higher. Spot trading with that amount daily is also possible but harder.

Cheap or expensive coins, it doesn't matter because you are not required to buy a whole coin. Take note that when you say expensive it should be based on their capitalization and not the per coin price. Take for instance, Ripple is more expensive than Litecoin. Litecoin is just more expensive per coin because it has low supply compared to the billions of Ripple coins in supply.
140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: VinDAX is number 1 exchange on coinmarketcap on: October 19, 2019, 05:35:25 AM
Why are people reacting too much? The person didn't say VinDAX has the largest trading volume? He said VinDAX has the cheapest trading fee at 0.05%. And he was asking if the exchange is safe. It looks legit and it's a big exchange. Check online reviews. Most people here in bitcointalk just heard this exchange. My suggestion is to try the exchange itself with small amount.

The only problem investors don't like about this exchange is the fake trading volume and this is happening at many other exchanges. Most people want transparency to be able to find good projects and exchange VinDAX cannot do this because all the coins at this exchange are shitcoin and have no value in investment.

I think if Coinmarketcap can verify exchanges with real trading volume, exchanges like Binance, Huobi, Bitmax will be the ones that deserve the first place in the crypto market.

What are you talking about? The coins and tokens listed in Vindax are the same with the other exchange like Binance and Huobi. LTC, BCash, Augur, Dash, TRX, Ontology and many more can also be found in many exchanges. VinDAX is not the top exchange in volume.

The main topic here is the trading fee on VinDAX that is very low compared to other exchanges.
