It is not user-friendly, but creates artificial demand for XRP that the founders intend to monetize down the road.

345  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: >>>>Warning scam to get your password<<<<splat44>> on: May 11, 2013, 06:14:25 AM
The user's account was hacked and it seems splat used the same password on Bitcointalk and Rugatu. The hacker managed to steal him ~1.23btc and tame his reputation in both places, like sending phishing PM to Bitcointalk users or asking questions with phishing links on Rugatu.

MODS please revise his account and give him the opportunity to change his password in here, on Rugatu he already managed to recover his account.

Hi again paraipan,

I appreciate your support you gave me this past few day.

I just made further discovery on who actually banned me from bitcointalk:

After reading following:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=printpage;topic=197750.0

It's appear that John (John K.) one of moderators that actually issued the ban

Seeing you're member at bitcointalk, can you send me him a PM by including the following:

http://www.rugatu.com/questions/7406/news-on-bitcoin?page=2&focusedAnswerId=17731#17731

Perhaps, by including your previous reply, should at least cause that moderator to think twise!

Right now I can't even change my password there and if I should have been able to then my account has been compromized!

Thanks a millions

347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ripple is Superior to Bitcoin... on: May 10, 2013, 06:23:04 PM
I thought OP raised some good points.

Replace Ripple with USD and Opencoin with FED.

For me Ripple is a step back to Bankocraty, we'll see the progress ONLY when the sources become public. That's what my 1st reply was about.

I'm not saying I like the Dollar, I'm just saying that it is more popular than gold not because it's a better currency, but because of what we're allowed to do with it.

Imagine you have a system similar to that omnipresent dollar, and it has the properties of a good currency at the same time. How would you value that system?

Dollar, gold , bitcoin you name it is only a system that passes on information, and rather important one, that goes about real work value in certain amount of time. Mess up with it and you control how people act or live their lives. Btw, I don't see how anyone can impede you do things with any good tool, like a hammer for example which it can build or kill for it's owner, so why money should be different? I don't subscribe to "we're allowed to do things with it".
354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best / cheapest / fastest way to move money between exchanges? on: May 09, 2013, 01:21:31 PM
Quite easy, you acquire bitcoins and withdraw to your target exchange. Hope it helps.

Right, because this is the first drug bust involving a real currency, possibly

FTFY, is like reporting people are buying drugs with gold and not using paper money...
