1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Store Check (please help) on: December 28, 2020, 07:05:55 AM
I suggest that you avoid this site. I just found this review:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5218281.0

Another site I think is related: theminerbros.com
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7tv0x8/how_i_got_scammed_3000_when_i_wanted_to_buy_miner/

Why don't you shop for miner from the store where you got your first pc miner? Didn't you get it safely?

Thank you for the reply, and this sure confirms my tingling sensations from prior experience.

I actually bought my s13's from a couple of acquaintances here locally which after 2 weeks of mining decided it wasnt worth it. I was on the cusp of quitting my venture into crypto mining one week prior to finding out about the local opportunity, because i had been scammed both on ebay and amazon before that.

And now, while on the precipice of venturing into the shopping mode again, I find myself at a sort of impasse:

- wait 8 months for Bitmain to deliver, only for the new machines to probably become unprofitable
- try and find another seller/reseller/wholesaler that can sell an already manufactured batch from Bitmain at a bit of a steeper price. (But I still cant find an outright legitimate one)
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Online Hardware Store Check (please help) on: December 28, 2020, 06:44:35 AM
Hi all,

I'm new here. Ive been mining (BTC) for 1.5 years now. I'm in the market and wanting to shop some new hardware. If I wanna go with Bitmain I gotta wait 8 months for a shipment, so I searched a bit more and came upon an online store called Crypto Miner Bros

url: https://www.cryptominerbros.com/

I'd like to ask if anyone has had any dealings with them and what I should expect. From what I can check online, i see positive reviews here and there (nothing substantial - all facebook/twitter/insta accounts that commented/reviewed are blocked), cryptocompare.com seems to think they are legitimate, I found 3 or 4 spelling errors on the site...

But I'm not a professional nor am I well acquainted with reading scams on first sight. I've been scammed in the past. So might as well ask the greater populace online.

Anyone willing and able to help on this subject??

Any input is very much appreciated upfront.
