So what's the conclusion?

After several months and 28 pages with over 500 post has any one posted any concrete proof that iGotSpots is a scammer?

I'm a relative newbie around the altcoin section so please let me know.

There is a fairly good chance that this person is an alt of TF.....

Considering that you and TF are one in the same, I consider you an authority on TF alts!  Wink

I started a thread 4 1/2 years ago about sig spamming.

It was a problem way back then.

If im lying about who you are teh moderators would be able to tell me those ip addresses don't match yours.

I just did, right before the post you quoted. They do not match. This together with the fact that you already said the guy you are talking about has a different name and location, would lead me to believe someone in your chatroom is trolling you, or trying to misdirect you.

No it's not troll Im tellin you this guy has been traced to canada it's him. I'll get the room owner to join the forum. Perhaps he uses a vpn to connect to this forum or ares. Im certain who he is and what he did.

Huh Did you just call me a troll? You've asked at least twice now for someone to check IPs, I do, tell you the answer, you don't like the answer so you handwave it away, and call me a troll? You're an idiot. Waste the rest of your life on some stupid wild goose chase, see if I care.

Is OP the same guy in the post above from early in 2014?

The guy that was begging for $20K to have dental implants and thought Vod was trolling him another site?

He posted an invoice with all his contact info visible then freaked out when people posted his life online.

He ended up calling Badbear a fucking troll over it. ROFL.

9  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Forum DDoS Attacks, why are they done? on: December 18, 2015, 02:24:04 AM
Really. There was a ddos attack on this forum, when? And by the way, I don't think anyone in the world has the power to take down google.
Bitcointalk was DDOSed several times in the past. At one instance, the attacker used a malicious SSL certificate to capture the information, DDOS attacks were most probably used to mask this.

Bitcointalk does not use cloudflare or any other DDOS protection since the provider can potentially do a MITM attack. There are hardware to filter attacks but it would be great if they have various other servers with huge bandwidth to dilute the attack.

Who the hell would attack a forum, especially this site.

You get Perma banned if you did.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iGotSpots Scam Dev on: December 18, 2015, 01:42:18 AM
then you old fucks need to get some fucking glasses.

for shame.

Post some proof or STFU.

All 26 alts of 3 different people are screaming "Spots is a scammer" but not one of them in nearly 20 pages, 400 replies and 2 1/2 months can provide a single documented shred of proof.

Not one.

Show where he intentionally offered a service, commodity or coin for an agreed upon price, took the money and didn't deliver what he "sold" you.

Again, just because you lost money in any coin he launched does not make him a scammer.

It simply indicates there was a deficit between your perceived skill in investing and reality.

~BCX~

Again still true

Over 450 replies across six months and not a shred of proof Spots is a scammer.

Not one.

So can any of you geniuses tell me how one would acquire enough badwidth to DDoS any site these days given the advancement in technology over the years to easily block such vile activity?

~BCX~
Botnets, "server test" services, heck even cloudflare is easy to bypass. There is nothing you can't bypass in Computers, its just a matter of time.

Botnets, nothing but imagination.

Server test sites LOL

Cloudfare - Not gonna get past it.

Where do you get your haxxor skillz?

~BCX~
Bro are you trolling? botnets are real, very real
Server test sites are very real, try booter.org or booter.xyz and attack yourself or your own site
Cloudflare is nothing, just need a good resolver

Botnets are a figment of people's imagination.

Everyone claims they know someone that runs botnets.

No one can name them.

That's why unicorn like botnet herders are never caught, they don't exist.

Server issues, bad configurations, switch issues, Routers....ISP issues, load balance problems are diagnosed as DDoS and Botnets wrongfully.

@All

OP is right!

So in an effort to deal with Theymos and Badbear

1) I am demanding that all members of the forum membership dues be refunded from inception of this forum till present day

2) I am demanding that Theymos and Badbear pledge a peaceful transition of their dictatorship.

3) That we elect a new "Thermos" to rule.

~BCX~

lol, really dude ?

Yes, a forum without a duly consensus elected democratically elected Thermos is a what a free public run forum does.

But NOT a community funded, members paying one like here.

In situation when a public forum is free and the mods literally donate dozens of hours per week for free you can expect a certain level of control.

You get what you pay for.

Am I the only that gets it?

Impeach and deport Thermos and BaddyBear to anywhere in New Jersey..

Good luck. There are quite a few people here that deserve to be removed from their basements and put into cages.

While I rarely disagree with Sir Spoetnik I think it is more likely they ran out of other people's funds to spend.

20  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Forum DDoS Attacks, why are they done? on: December 15, 2015, 03:42:32 AM
My question: why would someone o it on the forum?

Same reason as for exchanges, pools etc - extortion. Lose short term income while the site is down (no ads) and long term patronage.... or pay me.

Going a little off the deep into tin foil land aren't we?

DDoS is way over diagnosed for server issues, ISP problems and IT Staff incompetence.
