1  Other / Meta / Re: Gangs of BitcoinTalk :) on: March 09, 2024, 08:49:46 PM
This must be the saddest information tidbit I learned recently. In that after 2 and a half year since I last posted here,  Vod and OgNasty are still fighting in this forum.  Shocked Huh
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IEO] Sekoapy Exchange - is changing the world with cryptocurrency. on: August 15, 2021, 05:15:18 PM
Our real life Credibility is on the line here we will not turn into a "fly-by-night exchange".

All the devs of the many dead projects have said that in one form or another.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GPBS] - British Pound Coin - Low pre-mine - 100% for Community to mine on: August 13, 2021, 08:49:19 PM
Why have you got it listed on an exchange within three days?

I would probably wait for a Kucoin listing or any other similar rep exchange.

Oh, my.... Several red flags on this one.  Cry
5  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where to find any good CRYPTO copy trading platforms? on: August 12, 2021, 09:37:41 AM
Hi,

I have written two reviews on two copy trading platforms that are crypto-native. One is definitely free and other depends on the utility tokens you possess. Check both articles out.

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lost 17500$ during recent downswing, Now completely broke. on: August 11, 2021, 07:01:34 PM
DO people still read this stuff. The OP was back in January, Jesus Christ.
7  Other / Meta / Re: AI writing messages on Bitcointalk.org on: July 19, 2020, 03:27:36 PM
Brave new world, indeed. AI writing here? I still think it can be detected, nobody can write perfect sentences even if a post is intended to be written by a 12 year old.

Waste of technology anyway.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk:Reward > Pip count !!! on: July 19, 2020, 03:20:34 PM
Risk to reward ratio strategy:
Buy some Bitcoin for $1000 with a profit target of $1200 and set a stop-loss at $900, the risk-reward ratio is 1:2 (or 2R in trading parlance, $200 divided by $100) because you're risking $100 to make $200.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to transmit funds from an exchange to relatives on: July 18, 2020, 04:52:19 PM
You should email Binance. They will then ask you some questions about your account which only you and Binance knows about. And then they will ask you to send them a copy of your government ID with another photo indicating date and your signature.

Of course you have to do this from the email address you used to register.

TLDR They will help you regain account access as long as they can confirm your identity.

Once all this is done and you regain access. Sending your coins to relatives is already easy.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance compared to other Crypto Exchange. on: July 14, 2020, 04:26:20 PM
Bittrex dropped the ball when they kept adding and delisting shitcoins each week. They didn't care if it was a scam or not. This is the period when Poloniex became number one with their careful additions. And then Poloniex introduced margin trading. It made them solidly at number one.

However, Poloniex suddenly ran into customer related problems - piling withdrawal problems. People were scared of an exit scam in the making. This was the time Binance stepped in and took away the trading volume and became the number one. Poloniex was then sold for unknown reasons, maybe to avoid exit scamming remaining users.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: COPY TRADER BOT 4 BINANCE & BITMEX on: July 14, 2020, 04:14:45 PM
Wow, $230 per month is the cheapest membership fee. This is not for beginners.
12  Other / Meta / Re: Am I the oldest member here? on: July 13, 2020, 03:12:32 PM
Jet Cash is a senior citizen? Well, that put things into a new perspective. May I ask from what country are you from? Err, just read the sig. May I ask if Winston Churchill deserves to be revered in this cancel culture climate? I apologize in advance if this is offensive, I have no skin in the game being Asian and in Asia.

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you an E-Toro customers? You need to read this on: July 13, 2020, 03:03:39 PM

There are two things eToro offer that most don't; social media and copy traders.

Actually there are already a handful of exchange-integrated third-party copy trading platforms out there - subscription-based, fund-based, token-based.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Lesson: Stop loss Strategies on: July 12, 2020, 03:24:57 PM
I believe setting stop-losses is just one side of the story. After determining your stop-loss, a pro trader should define how much loss he's willing to take. For example, I only want to lose $100 per open position out of my $10,000 capital. The size of the position should result in a $100 loss once stop loss is triggered.
16  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FUNNY: DueDex Derivative Exchange Blatant Plagiarism on: July 12, 2020, 03:15:34 PM
I can never trust such an exchange.

Exactly. Exchange hackers are very ingenious and if your funds are held by these copy-pasting, no-talent exchanges, you're just waiting for your coins to be stolen. I'm sure their security is also copy-pasted.
17  Other / Meta / Re: Satoshi banned! on: July 11, 2020, 09:13:45 PM
In any case, if the real Satoshi were to want his account back, he would message the forum admin with a signed BTC address known to belong to him.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: $BTC Balance on Exchanges on: July 11, 2020, 09:02:36 PM
One thing is for sure. If Bitcoin holders are afraid that BTC will crash again back to $6,000, $3,000 or even print a price chart that indicates it has more room to downtrend, you will definitely see more BTC in exchanges.

But that is not the case.

I believe, just like I am, Bitcoin has enough crashing: a long bear market with three major crashes. The last one was a support tester with that panic selling that briefly brought the price to $3,000-level. Plus of course, the halving. It does not compute if there is any future to cryptocurrencies, the price will crash to below mining profits again.

TLDR; It's bullish.

Anyway, I'm speculating we will see more btc in exchanges once the price reaches ATH at $20,000.  Shocked
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Automation Nowadays on: July 09, 2020, 08:07:35 AM
Papi, 50% won't work - half of the profits yet none of the risk. Unless you post some SOLID proof of performance, this won't fly.
20  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam] Youtube Channel Fake Giveaway on: July 09, 2020, 08:02:58 AM
It was my first time to see one "Vitalik giveaway" in Youtube yesterday. It was indeed ingenious to make it live and have fake chat comments saying they received the giveaways.

I'm sure some newbie will fall for it, the Twitter scams make a killing before Jack Dorsey did something about it.
