There is no Viacoin company, no exit for the developer with a sale of Viacoin shares. The value is in the coin which is linked to the blockchain. I really think most people don't understand that. The VIA price is a reflection of early stage technology on the cusp of adoption, like XAI.

Once one project goes live on Clearinghouse, thats the shift in value. This may take some time. Its best to help. If you can't wait then sell up and bother other people.

Plus I think its best if users not discussing useful aspects just leave this thread. This forum is meant for proper discussion on the tech and promotion.

I have been helping Drak with pushing the message out to some key people in the tech space. Just because you don't hear about it doesn't mean things aren't happening from people who aren't the core developer.

Nothing has changed my position on VIA/ XCH.

Some new blockchains will come but that they will still have to catchup on the dev that has already been done by Drak. A LOT of commits to date in the Github repo.

The complaint seems to be projects on the blockchain. This will take time.

Most services will move to the blockchain, so there will be hundreds of blockchains. Its not a winner takes all market.

So if you are a coin speculator move on, if you are an investor then buy in now.

So the question is ... we know how good VIA/ XCH is how can we, as part of the Viacoin Rebel Command, start a service on top of ClearingHouse, or help promote devs to build on it?

I see services such as registration of digital assets a first step, like the morellian project. For digital work. Registering anything digital in fact.

Almost needs a Clearinghouse Crowdfunding marketing website and we all put a few XCH / VIA each into a prize pot to get devs interested.

This can be done without waiting for the market (tech companies) to wake up to XCH/ Via.

Thoughts?

CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY is unique to Viacoin and will be key to any software needing to release value at a certain time. Think Family Trusts. Viacoin will do this quicker than any other method. Saas companies will pick up the Viacoin Notary to build on.

I'm a long supporter of VIA and have been helping where I can.

It's a very important coin and associated protocol and notary, and has my support versus all other coins.

I have a noobish question. My Mac wallet 10.5.0  (latest) is still 'Synchronising with network' and not synching up with my coin transactions. From ~/Library/Application Support/Viacoin I delete folders Blocks and Chainstate (do I delete Database?) and then my coins show as it starts 'Synchronising with network' then the Coins go to 0. Looks like there is a sync issue but I don't know how to fix.

Any help appreciated!
