so, the question of "what security risk" is involved in POS coins that every coin is susceptible to just got answered in the most brutal way possible.
? VRC 51% attack just became a very real scenario, they don't need half the coins... just half the staking amount, of which more than 51% was stolen. I cant say whether that is the problem cloakdevs fixed or not, but I imagine it has something to do with that. It's at least a sobering reminder to keep your coins in your wallet... Where did these details come from? check the VRC thread? |

It jumped because there were people who bought more and more Cloak for higher prices and not enough people wanted to sell for lower prices. hahaha, damnitall |

I'm glad we have strong holders who believe in this coin's future. Some delays and bumps in the road but we still don't fluctuate as much as other coins. Once things get rolling it's going up up up...
Only 10BTC standing in the way of cloak being 41k, I know its a great way to loose coins, but I sold out at 57k cus I am pretty sure I can buy back much lower. Relax guyz, cloak will have its day! just not today im afraid. Very doubtful. Have you forgot that I am around?  I think it's high time you changed your sig to "I drink your milkshake"  |

Lol, i agree the coin logo is probably one of the crappiest designs ive ever seen here (and thats saying something) - and also the spelling in the OP sucks (COMPOTITION?)
But saying the dev has downsyndrome is a little harsh IMO.
I would have said "creepiest", but ya the spelling really sells it. |

BC released blackhalo trading decentralized platform beta today, can go download it on their thread (uses bitmessage too). Hasnt effected market price yet. Played around with it little, interface needs to be little more user friendly. But in end i like how fees/escrows benefit cloak stakers as described in here, overall more cloak centralized marketplace which brings value back to us coinholders/investors. btw cloak is first coin i actually hold, been daytrading for last few months successfully, this coin too promising to sell for daytrade profits  I agree, plus we don't have the drama in our background which people seem to relate when thinking of blackcoin. They have a lot to overcome, and the features in cloakcoin will complement each other very nicely. I strongly approve of the way the devs here handle everything, very mature and timely with a reasonable amount of communication with core investors. cloak is a very easily recommended hold coin. |

I also find the idea somewhat risky though

what risk do you see? buyers and sellers to trade with one another without a governing central point of control. Oh. True, however I love the idea. I believe the threat of mutual destruction can take over for a central figure. No system is perfect, but I believe the one outlined in the paper is headed to a more ideal solution than paying a percentage to two parties that are just one in disguise( ebay --paypal) whose default action is to place the burden of proof on the seller. I do agree that a secondary forum will become a necessity as an extension of this board. Which is why it makes me wonder why this isnt a penny stock... Cloakcoin is or Isn't a penny stock? I'm just confused.. Screw the onemarket, if PoSA works as advertised on launch then hold on for a ride, bc if they can do PoSA then Onemarket is achievable.... a decentralized exchange platform has always been the holy grail....just no one has been able to do it, *cough* fucking emunie bc has already pulled it off and released theirs today... |
