🚀 Truly, last year was a turning point for the industry as it expanded massively, reaching out to millions of new users.

👀 We saw immense growth in L2s, NFTs, GameFi and DAOs, while the crypto space’s value hit over $2T and the likes of Ethereum and Bitcoin hit ATHs.

🦄👊 1inch expanded to 4 new networks and integrated more than 120 decentralized exchange protocols, opening access to the biggest liquidity in DeFi, with more than $55B+ available.

🏆 That led us to hitting $134B in volume and 1M in the number of wallets that interact with our contract on Ethereum, 430K on BSC and 200k+ users in Polygon and an almost 60 percent share of the aggregation segment.

🥳 Moreover, in 2021, we released the 1inch Wallet, introduced DAO governance and treasury, launched the 1inch Limit Order Protocol and the Aggregation Protocol v3 & v4 and, finally, closed our 💸 Series B round.

🦾 With the launch of this game, we're beginning the exploration of Web 3 tools, such as GameFi, play-to-earn and metaverse.

💡 Btw, DeFi Racer was developed under the 1inch Foundation’s ongoing Grant Program.

🧐 The game itself is equally straightforward and thrilling. 🚗🛣 The player “drives” a car on a three-lane road, and the goal is to avoid obstacles by swiping left and right.

💥 When hitting an obstacle, the car loses speed. 🔥⛽️ During a ride, the car gradually burns fuel, and the ride comes to an end when all of the fuel has been burnt.

🔀 The player can choose between 4 types of cars, but for any car other than the basic one, they have to pay with the 💸 in-game currency received for each completed ride.

😎 Similarly, the player can choose between routes with DeFi-themed names.

✅🖼 Meanwhile, the game will constantly evolve, and NFT mechanics will be soon added to it.

🎁 Incidentally, DeFi Racer is an excellent platform for contests, and the 1inch Foundation plans to launch a series of contests for players, with attractive prizes.

⚠️ Spoiler: We weren’t kidding when we said that we’re embarking on a mad crusade against high gas fees in DeFi.

📝 In the new release, code was refactored, optimized and simplified, with different types of orders moved to separate files. This led to the improved user experience, as transactions became 📉 cheaper. ❤️ A few vital features were added.

⛽️🚫 Gasless limit orders for ETH:

This functionality facilitates gasless swaps of tokens into ETH.

💎 It is a unique feature that no other limit order protocol offers as it ✅ enables users who don’t have ETH to make trades with tokens that support permits. 👍 Currently, 112 tokens on Ethereum, 33 tokens on BSC and 15 tokens on Polygon support permits.

👉 To start using 1inch protocols, a user who has at least one token that supports permits, doesn’t need to buy ETH or transfer it from another exchange.

⚙️ Support for DAI-like permits ⚙️

✳️ In v1 of the 1inch Limit Order Protocol, there were already many tokens with permit support.

🙌 In v2, the list of supported permits was expanded to cover the old permit implementation, such as in the DAI token.

🌐 Optimized RFQ 🌐

The RFQ feature was optimized to become even more efficient, offering new opportunities for market makers. 😈 A market maker can now set a specific taker for a fill with a permit. This improves protection of market makers from possible abuse.

🦄🎊 The 1inch team is excited to announce a successful closure of a $175M series B funding round from institutional investors, led by Amber Group.

🙌 Among about 50 investors that participated in the funding event are Jane Street, VanEck, Fenbushi Capital, Alameda Research, Celsius, Nexo, Tribe Capital and Gemini Frontier Fund.

✅ The addition of several dozen new participants to the 1inch Network is set to lead to further decentralization of the 1inch DAO, making it more democratic by allowing everyone's votes to matter.

💰 Initially, the investment target was set at $70M, but, following several developments in the space and a huge demand from valuable backers, a decision was made to 📈 increase it to $175M.

🪄 The funding will facilitate navigating in the regulatory space for DeFi in Europe and the US in a bid to onboard institutions into 1inch Pro, a compliant product for institutional customers.

🛠 The raised funds will also be spent on building new 1inch protocols, expanding the utility of the 1INCH token and scaling up the contributor team.

👥 Over the next few years, the team is expected to more than double in size.

🗓️ In December 2020, the 1inch Network attracted $12 mln from several major investors, including Pantera Capital, ParaFi Capital and Nima Capital.

In August 2020, $2.8 mln was raised from a group of institutional investors led by Binance Labs.
