Nice roller coaster on the price of this coin , what price do you think it will have later? Depends on whether or not the cracker jack development team and investors already cashed out or not. If they are sticking with it and going to try and market it, $10.00 to $20.00 price point is reasonable. If they already extracted what they want from it, it will be a bad memory in less than a year and be worthless. Nah, way too many big names behind this coin, and it accomplishes something that technically has not been done yet in crypto. Besides, the dev subsidy lasts for the next 4 years. I wouldn't worry about devs bailing until the block rewards no longer include dev reward.

LOL see the price finally dropping, will continue to do so until Dec probably. Silly folks who wanna get in early to overpriced still unproven/unused coins WITH holes in it already! /FACEPALM.
When will ppl learn?!?!
When will you learn?!?! Price is up 300% in the last 4 hours. People who bought this morning (like me) tripled their money in a few hours. Some of us are in this for profits, not for whatever you are in it for. Some of these kids don't realize: volatility like this is a trader's wet dream. Cheers to the profits!

Damn these scammy Zcash bitches need a punch in the face.
you bought at 2000 BTC? or 3299 BTC? This coin is worth 0.00001000 BTC max! Too much coins per block. How could people pay so much money for 1 coin? 2.5 minute block times, 12.5 ZEC per blockso someone found a block and that would be worth $100k? 8BTC is the price at the moment so 100 BTC per 2.5minutes... are people crazy??? That is more then what BTC is paying out. IMO, it is hyped by those greedy whales, like erik voorhees, li xiaolai and roger ver. They have earned enough from btc, but they are still greedy, maybe they spent too much money on mansions, super cars, so they want to scam people for more rounds. Greed is evil Is this a ocminer coin? All hash is on his pool, thread created by himself. Maybe he was running out of business because of the ICO scams and no POW coins anymore and he created his own coin? He is also doing manual payouts, so maybe he first dump the coins on Poloniex and then buy it back 5 times cheaper. You seem to not know much about this coin. Check out their main page and read a little, it will answer all your questions. Not sure why someone would make a bunch of crazy accusations and assumptions before taking the time to learn shit. https://z.cash/blog/index.html- It's not currently 12.5 zec/block. There is a "slow start" mechanism in place. Why you think there are so few coins? Volume is very small.
- 20% "premine" is a dev fee/block, over the next 4 years. No premine occured. No one is holding ZEC from a premine that they can go and dump.

I can't find a support contact on the decred forum, but I'm trying to create an account and the fucking captcha won't go through. Tried several different inputs, nothing works. Any help?
Same issue with my android phone it is not the current version on the forum sidebar... try the previous version... can't remember what I typed but had the same issue when recovering my password. We talk about signing up on forum.decred.org That's what I'm talking about too.. Don't know if it's different now but the captcha used to ask you to input the current decred version..... No clue then... No, that's what it says still. "0.5.1", "v0.5.1" and the same with 0.5 don't work.

been mining at on the nicehash pool for ~5 hours now, but still nothing even showing up for "immature balance". It's showing shares submitted though. Is there a way to see more decimal places there? I'd like to see that the work is being counted...
same here...still no payouts from nicehash pool...just waiting... glad that i mine on suprnova 2^^ Good to know. I originally tried on suprnova, but miner kept failing and the site is having a lot of trouble keeping up with all the people trying to use it.

ZCASH : "All coins are created equal" but we forgot to tell you that there is no ico for you peasants, and that as soon as we will release Zcash it will be so overpriced because we care for you. It's about equality before all.
Btw, we also will have huge ammounts of free coin from all you miners. And more of that stuff.
Way to go !
0 of that is news. We've all known for several, several months how this coin was going to work. I'm personally quite pleased with how the coin has been developed and launched.

Any idea why the price of Ethereum dropped so much recently? Is that due to the second hard fork?
I think that it most certainly is as a result of the second hard fork. Ethereum has so many flaws (security issues) and has gone through so many controversies, that maybe this has resulted in many investors to get out of ETH. Also, ETC's price is declining but in the bright side I hope that ETH becomes stronger after all of these past events. I think that it would be wise to buy a few ETH while this happens. Maybe then, after all of this is solved prices could go all the way up again. Just sharing my opinion. I doubt that. Perhaps a small part, but updates to the protocol that fix security issues is no reason for a price drop, and that's what the recent releases have been about. Furthermore, this update wasn't a controversial one at all, so I don't understand the reasoning behind why this would deflate the price. Much more likely: it's because of the BTC price rising. It's very very typical for alt coin prices to fall as BTC price rises. This has been observed many times before, on many different blockchains.

Is there something wrong with geth? I had switched to parity but now when I start geth or the wallet no blocks load and it will not sync. I am using the latest wallet (6) and geth (18).
Thanks.
yes there is i know no one with a working wallet. and i try for a friend to get his ether predao fork out of that wallet. i start thinking his coins are burned. he is another colateral damage of the big daobailoutfork . Why is this a constant problem? Since I started with ETH months ago geth synchronization has been a mess. This is such a fundamental function for any coin. If this doesn;t work how can anyone have any confidence in the coin or the development team that is supporting it? Starting a wallet and having it synch should be automatic and without all the aggravation we get from geth and ETH. I know I am venting but is anyone ever going to fix this? Well, what version of the wallet are you running, and on what hardware? The last solid month or more the network has been sustaining constant dos attacks, making syncing super slow for some. 0.8.6 contains the hardfork to fix most of those issues, with another coming to further complete the fix. i updated to 0.8.6 and it wont sync. and i know no one with a working wallet no one . Soz b. But you can't know many people! I've had no issues syncing or making transactions from my wallet since 0.8.6. And I know there are many others, even in this thread who are able to as well. Perhaps try another wallet software, such as myetherwallet? so you sugest myetherwallet? whats wrong with mist 0.8.6? i updates to mist 0.8.6 from a very old version of mist it holds still predaofork ether and i would think there are many out there with the same problem not everyone checks the wallet every day right now it syncs very slow the blocks found come faster in then my wallet syncs so i get more and more behind. i was talking of people i know with mist wallet and they do all have the same problem. the wallet wont sync. glad to hear that you and others dont have the problem. but we do have this problem and if the eth comunity is a friendly one the comunity might want to have our problems with the wallet solved. or is it that you dont care if the wallet has problems ? i see in this thread not only me with a problem i see many posts. so to every one who has an idea how to solve this let me know .
I've never used myetherwallet, only mist. Only heard that lots use it. If you critically need to access your funds, I thought it was a consideration. Maybe try what smaxz said? mine works, even my rigs powered with conventional disks.
try nuking your chaindata and resync with --fast.
some of the block with malicious calculations refer back to previous blocks to crunch more data. limiting the bulk of old blocks to headers only curbs the amount of erroneous calculations needed to process (and sync) a block.
how to resync with --fast ? would you be so kind and give a step by step list ? In windows open cmd. Go to directory where your geth is Enter geth --fast I am not sure but you probably should start from zero so you should delete old chain data (blocks).. search for removedb
