1  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Looking to Buy a 1btc Funded Casascius Coin - Cash Only on: February 13, 2024, 04:43:40 PM
The transaction unfortunately did not occur. The OP ghosted when I reached out to him to hopefully agree on a price. If anyone is interested I am more than willing to involve minerjones in the transaction and do anything and everything within reason to ensure a good sale.

Seeking 1.16 btc for a btc sale. Discount for anyone who can do part or all of the sale in USD. Highest discount for anyone who can do an in person cash transaction at bank/police station etc. Willing to travel. Am not a btc user, not big on technology, and have this coin that was given to me a decade ago and trying to unload it without having to figure out how to do all this stuff or worry about new accounts and complicating my taxes. The value keeps going up and making it more difficult to sell LOL

Took a couple more during the daytime so I'm not battling glare from indoor lighting.

It is you. I think last time some people were able to confirm that the coin is loaded from the code on the outside. It has been in this case for months and this is a little embarassing but I was trying to open the case to take the pics and couldnt figure out how lol

Edit: OK I'll try to take it out and take more pics

Hopefully I did this right. Pics of my casciacus are above, as requested

Edit: There are also pics in my original thread which are in my post history.

I was able to change my option to accept PM from newbies under my user profile. Please send me a PM on here as it seems we are a good match for this transaction.

Tried to PM you but it said you do not accept PMs from newbies

I live in PA and if you look through my previous posts you'll see I have attempted to sell a Cas 1btc funded a few times in here (pics included) but just havent been able to get it done. Thought I had a buyer once but it fell through. It is currently in a security box at my bank but I am happy to post an updated pic if we are in talks.

Would prefer to keep discussion on this forum rather than telegram. Willing to make all the necessary and common sense precautions to prevent any fraud for both of us.
9  Economy / Collectibles / Advice needed for in person casacisus sale on: March 06, 2023, 07:14:50 PM
I have agreed to terms with Mister Av8rJeff for a sale price of 1.20btc cash equivalent via zelle or venmo for an in-person transaction. Can anyone suggest safeguards for the two of us for this transaction? I admit to being nieve about the methods scammers use for stuff like this. I know paypal its possible to reverse transactions so that is not an option, but have to do some research on the others. One obvious thing is to do the deal in a place like a bank or police station but other than that what do smart cryptoers do to protect themselves in these in person transactions?

***Price reduction to 1.20btc***

Deal runs through MinerJones or can travel to meet in person. If cash transaction will do for 1.15btc equivalent and will use whatever escrow process is customary here.

Willing to take whatever steps are needed to establish legitimacy as someone with no transaction history.

Ive considered it but was hoping to sell on here without the scariness of sending back and forth to grading company. Even sending to an obviously reputable character like Minerjones is scary to me but I have become more willing to do that since I originally posted the coin a couple years ago. If there was a way to get it graded in person somewhere near me I would be interested.

Anyway not holding my breath but I'm hoping for a no hassle and smooth sale to get rid of this thing. Cant stress enough that I know I am an unknown newbie and am more than willing to do anything reasonable to prove I'm legit and not a scammer

Hello all

Checking in again now that the price of btc has dipped. I still have this coin and am again looking for a sale price of 1.29btc. I am willing to use minerjones or meet at an agreed safe location. The price is pretty firm, if you give me a good reason to come down I may consider it but Im not sure what the reason could be.

Will be happy to post pics again, and/or do anything reasonable to confirm my legitimacy.

Hey if someone wants to make an offer I'll certainly consider it. But 1.05 btc is barely more than if I peeled it and got the btc and the forks. Plus I have to travel depending on where you are or a btc convention or whatever

Lets stop the funny business and start the bidding shall we  Grin
17  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Casascius 2011 Series 1 bitcoin spelling error - UNREDEEMED on: January 17, 2021, 06:14:37 PM
Thanks for the comments everyone. All reasonable and fair. That said, I'm happy to hang on to the coin if no one wants to pony up the 1.3 BTC for an opportunity to own a part of the very first series of cascaiscus ever made.

Auction ends at 10pm Eastern tonight!
18  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Casascius 2011 Series 1 bitcoin spelling error - UNREDEEMED on: January 16, 2021, 08:52:05 PM
I think its reasonable  Undecided but the market will have the final say! I mean if someone wants to post or DM me with an offer I'd mull it over but this particular coin with it being series 1 and having the mysterious ERROR I would not even consider selling for the amounts talked about in the previous post. I'll hang onto it for a few years and see if there's a surge of interest from the general public at some point. If btc becomes mainstream as you guys predict I cant see how there wouldnt be

19  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Casascius 2011 Series 1 bitcoin spelling error - UNREDEEMED on: January 14, 2021, 02:07:54 PM
Wow for the first edition with the error? If thats the case I'll hold onto it for another couple years and see if things change. Until then its yours for the taking for 1.3 btc and I'll do whatever is necessary for a newbie to sell on here.  Cool
20  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Casascius 2011 Series 1 bitcoin spelling error - UNREDEEMED on: January 14, 2021, 01:41:44 PM
Appreciate the help with the pics guys. Guess I might have gone overboard making a one week timeframe for the auction but wanted to make sure as many people saw it as possible. One thing I want to clarify, my post says auction ends Sunday 1/16. Sunday is actually the 17th.

Auction ends on Sunday 1/17 at 10pm Eastern. Happy bidding
