I don't think it would be hard for SPT to put one of the hashboards ~11 TH in a SP10 type enclosure. It wouldn't but I doubt they care to. What would be interesting is if they licensed someone else to make a smaller miner using their chips so they don't have to be bothered with tech support or manufacturing.

Mine was finally processed in California and is now heading to Toomim Bros in Washington.
I'm sending mine to Toomim Bros also so post your experiences when things get set up for you. I placed my order on 9/6 so nothing for me yet. Well it arrived and they set it up fast and it's running right now reporting 4.6ish at Eligius. I'm impressed with Toomim so far.

I would not hold my breath either, but what you are saying about how they handled Scrypt becoming worthless is just wrong. They were under no obligation whatsoever to compensate users, but still they did. It wasn't much but still.
The bitching and moaning that followed that nice gesture will surely make them think twice about doing somehting like that again.
Yeah but their crappy payouts and dodging questions will make people think twice about giving them free loans in the future too.

Good news, my units just got clear from the custom !
Bad news spondoolies just release an SP50.
It's huge beast. 0,14w/gh
It's only viable for large scale mining, too big. That, and it is only available for bulk customers. So I don't think you can just get an individual unit unless you can put together a massive group buy Each unit is a group buy!

My payouts dropping consistently for the last 5 days..!!!
If you had an "old" contract (0.002 fee / ghs) he is worthless now. Your profit is 0 with the fee GM is taking and the actual BTC price / difficulty. If you have a "new" contract (0.0015 or 0.0012) you still have a payout but you have to hope BTC price will rise & difficulty won't rise too much.. Maybe you have both of it, so you still get paid a little something.. @Genesis Mining what do you think about getting your early customers from their 0,002$/GH/D fee contract to the new 0,0012$/GH/D fee contracts. In my opinion this would be advisable, feasible and fair towards your early adopters (besides that, good marketing).
Let us know your thoughts.
Kind regards, elrippo
I agree. Perhaps asking for 0.0012 is too much. But I think they could do a gest of goodwill. We "old" customers were the first to trust them, to give them capital, etc.. Yeah i would agree with 0,0012 fees, because we -the early adopters, as you mentioned- layed the ground for others. Now miners are getting more efficient like the SP50 so i think it would be feasible to swap the the early accounts with 0,002 or 0,0019 fees to the new ones. This would be a strategic master piece from Genesis-mining and get some new customers with this publicity. Letīs wait what Genesis Mining considers towards the swap Judging from the past Scrpyt bait and switch don't hold your breath.

Itīs exactly this fact that adds to the woes of these cloud mining operations. Not only are they pretty close to the level at which it becomes unprofitable to mine at all but also the longer BTC stays depressed the more incentive for buyers to wait for a higher BTC and the resulting higher amount of hash for the same outlay.
You're slightly wrong about this, it become LESS profitable for them but they are paying in many cases quite a bit less than they are charging you for power. The contracts are a nifty way for them to get out of paying you.

I suspect at least 30 days before batch 2. they kept batch 1 open way longer then I expected but I guess now that the miners are built and in hand they will focus on upgrading there own farm first using our pre-orders to help fund the project before they re open up a second batch
For all we know they could have already upgraded their own farms. I would suspect those were priority over batch 1. If they did clear a lot of spots in their data center shipping out S7's I think they will fill them pretty quick. I would agree batch 1 was open much longer then I think they would have guessed from previous products. I think at least closed till most of S7 B1's are shipped and mode it to their new homes. Also we don't know if any 3rd party data centers have put in big orders. Likely those would come before batch 2. It was open so long because of the high price.

Doesn't really explain why the payments suddenly fell so sharply while price rose (a little) in the same period.
Also difficulty went up from 57 (x1e9) to 59.3, or a mere 4% increase. On the sept 4, there was a similar increase in difficulty (54.25 to 57, or 5% increase), which did not result in a sharp drop in payouts. So clearly something does not compute. GM should practice mathematics. Still waiting for a serious explanations here. Check Hashnest - they are diving down too.. It is about BTC price vs. mining difficulty.. Yeah, but you cant dive down from 10k satoshi to nothing bcause of a 4% increase in Diff, that is not possible No, for sure not! But the price of GHS on Hashnest in the past two weeks dropped 60% down !! Hopefully GM will explain this situation soon.. Of course it's dropped with S7 announced and shipments starting soon (already in some cases.) That is a price correction, not a complete disaster in rewards.

Rewards - 947 SAT
ROI - 37 Days. Well, that ROI isnīt very realistic if you canīt withdraw your funds when you need them. But this mess isnīt quite dead yet. Since the endgame here is clearly a twist of that used by for example PB Mining expect as before falling rewards. Itīs still pretty far from zero so itīll go on for some weeks probably perhaps even months. Only time will tell.
Yeah but at least with PB I still get some dust at random intervals like 9/16
