Hello LimxDev,

Masternode payment has stopped. The miners get everything now. What is going on?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARKNET [DNET] QRK ALGO - PoW/PoS on: September 16, 2016, 05:45:59 AM
I'm having hell of a time trying to get my MN's to stay in ENABLED status.

It seems as if even one instance out of the five locks up on my VPS, then all 5 MN's go into MISSING status.

On 8 of my 22 VPS's, between 1 to 4 instances of the darknetd constantly lock up on me. I have to delete the blockchian files, stop the instances, then restart them again, only to have it happen all over again.

When I run the getinfo command on the locked up instances, it says something like "Error loading block database", and occasionally "Cannot connect to server".

Anyone guess why this keeps happening? I'm using mxnsch's script, btw, which automatically uses the latest version of darknetd. My control wallet is also on the latest version. I'm on the $5 VULTR VPS's.

My experience from running some MNs tells me one important thing: Always be sure to have enough RAM. Swap Memory is not a solution if it's backed by HDDs. You will get a much higher CPU load and darknetd reacts badly on this shortage by corrupting the database or simply not catching up with the blockchain and locking up.
So get yourself a VPS with enough base RAM. There are lot's of VPS providers with equal or even lower prices which provide enough ressorces for this task. About 200-250MB per darknetd instance should be enough ATM.

There is a bug in Bitsend regarding masternode outputs and remote starting of masternodes.
If you have "mnconflock=1" in your bitsend.conf, masternode outputs are locked so that you can't spend them inadvertently, which is good. Unfortunately, this also prevents you from starting your masternode remotely, because the wallet can't find the 25000 BSD VIN anymore, which can be seen as a bug.
So, to start your masternode remotely, temporarily set mnconflock to 0 in your bitsend.conf, restart wallet and start your masternode.

I didn't have the mnconflock linein my conf file, but so I added mnconflock=0, and restarted the wallet. I still can't allocate VIN and the 25k balance is still locked in the Inputs section. How do I unlock it?

Strange. Are you sure you changed the right bitsend.conf? Also make sure that the wallet is not started with the command line parameter "-mnconflock".
You can unlock an input manually in the wallet: In Coin Control, select the locked transaction with right mouse button and unlock it via popup menue. This is a temporary solution until next wallet start.

Looking at the hashrate, nearly no one is hashing at the "right" fork.
There is nothing which can prevent anyone and my masternodes from hopping to the longer chain if nothing in the code prevents it!

Sorry Christian, this is not the way crypto works.
Your suggested chain has a very low hashrate, while the majority of miners is hashing at a different fork. You can't simply define your fork as the right one, you have to bring the majority of miners to consensus. Change the code accordingly and hope the miners update to this.

As far as I can see, the fork with the highest hashrate is currently at block 212747

getblockhash 212747

hope you can fix this mess.

anyone have any experience in europe with this one ? https://anycoindirect.eu/en/buy/darkcoins

(seems easier then buying BTC and transferring on an exchange into DRK .. and it has iDEAL which is perfect for
fast payment transactions in my country although it probly adds some transaction costs .. i just dont know if its legit)
I used this service several times to buy BTC and DRK, paying with SofortBanking. The incoming transaction always appeared just a few seconds after payment confirmation.

I updated all masternodes to 10.15.13

But i have Inactive (0%) problem in some.

What is the problem?

I had the same thing on a couple of my MN's

i just now tried to start it up on the local wallet as well. will keep you posted on if that works for me.

Yea I have all my MNs as "inactive" there too. And the balance is slightly off on one of them as well. Sup?

I've got the same.

Masternodes that were running 10.14.1 and are now running 10.15.13 are showing as inactive, but darkcoind masternode list | grep is working and they are accepting payments.

New masternodes, created from scratch, running 10.15.13 are not showing up and darkcoind masternode list | grep is not working.

so bottom line : as long as we do the grep command and it returns a 1 we're good, even if the site says we're not?

just double checking...

I actually already received a payment on one of the MN's that was listed as inactive.

I just don't feel completely comfortable when it's not showing on the site,

I've had the same problem, it's fine. Just ride it out. As long as you're on the masternode list when your grep it then you're fine.

Walter

Due to the protocol version change, we have to wait until El Presidente and/or elbereth update their nodes.

coin ad...
According to the developers of that coin, some parts will never go open source. Draw your own conclusions.

Hey Darkies, X-men, trolls and all the other types who seem to be lurking around this thread.

Some other guy( I don't remember the name) came up with the idea to support Evan financially to create this amazing dev-team we've been talking about. After all it doesn't seem fair that he has so spend his own savings to make savings for us! I know some of you doesn't have alot of darks or btc either but I also see plain loaded users who should be busy munching plankton and setting out whalebait. A little will also do because as we say in Denmark: Mange bække små, gør en stor å (Many small creeks, create a large liver) I advice you guys to get this confirmed first before you throw you darks this way, just to get you use to having a sceptical attitude towards things like this. Just pm Evan and get him to confirm or maybe he could confirm in this thread. Either ways thanks and please help spread the word and let's get this devteam to kick some ass! Cheesy

Message from eduffield:

Hey, thanks for this. I made a software development wallet that I'll use to support all of the developers. It's address is here: XpAy7r5RVdGLnnjWNKuB9EUDiJ5Tje9GZ8

Thanks!

And now a brief PSA:

Please always check the primary source where the donation address was originally posted before donating to this or any other cryptocurrency address.  Why?  Even if an address is accurately quoted at first (I haven't checked), it can always be edited maliciously later down the line, or it can fail to be updated even if Evan abandons the donation address/wallet.

I believe the original can be found here, but doublecheck for yourself:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg6982496#msg6982496

I do not mean to impugn StefanJ's honor or reputation in any way.  He may be the most trustworthy man on the planet.  Just a PSA.

You're totally right. I just asumed it was the correct adress because he wrote it to me in a personal message. But yeah you can't be too careful with this stuff these days! By the way I really fucked up that saying didn't I?  (Many small creeks, create a large liver) WTF I meant river. Haha! Anyways you get it

Sent really tiny amount.

+10 (not very much but it all adds up)
