Scam callers often use call spoofing technology to disguise the number they are calling from so the call appears to be from a local area code or a legitimate phone number. They know you're more likely to answer and when you do, they ask for your personal information to try to steal your identity or your money.

8  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian currency big problems on: January 24, 2021, 11:06:44 AM
Russia’s economy has always been dependent on the price of crude oil and natural gas, as commodities account for a significant portion of the economy. In 2013, exports of crude oil and related products accounted for more than two-thirds of the country’s total exports and more than half of the government’s total revenue, meaning that lower prices could have a huge impact on the economy.
In 2014, crude oil prices fell by around 50 percent due to lower demand in Europe, Russia’s key market, and increased production in the United States. However, the biggest catalyst behind Russia’s problems was probably when the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) indicated that it would not cut its production to boost prices in late 2014. While the organization eventually cut production, crude oil prices still haven't recovered to their highs.
Crude oil prices are likely to remain depressed for the foreseeable future. OPEC compliance is less than 50 percent by many accounts if you exclude Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, who cannot be responsible for maintaining cuts on their own. U.S. shale production has proven to be flexible in response to falling crude oil prices, as production levels have continued to recover in 2018.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Will India be more progressive in the coming years? on: January 24, 2021, 10:58:45 AM
By 2050, India is projected to be the world's second-largest economy (overtaking the United States) and will account for 15% of the world's total GDP. The positive outcomes of that growth have already started to make an impact for residents. The growth also hasn't always reached every citizen equality.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's reason for pumping btc price? on: January 23, 2021, 09:26:12 PM
Despite Bitcoin's (BTC) steep rally in November, the price is consolidating above $15,000 as on-chain analyst, Willy Woo says a blow-off top is unlikely for three main reasons. The three factors are the growing outflow of funds from exchanges, increase in “HODLers,” and data showing that investors already took profit.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did the bitcoin fall? on: January 23, 2021, 08:34:39 PM
The latest move, which brings Bitcoin down over 13% versus its highs from Tuesday, came amid increased selling at Coinbase Pro, the professional trading arm of United States cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.
As Cointelegraph reported, major spikes in volume at Coinbase Pro had accompanied price volatility in recent weeks. This time, it was a dip in the so-called "Coinbase Premium" which signalled selling was underway — the difference in price between the BTC/USD pair at the venue and others suddenly decreased.
