1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: December 02, 2017, 03:46:18 PM
How many airdrops so far? Is there any qualifications in order to be eligible for an airdrop? I am looking to join the project.

Why not read the thread?! The 2nd Airdrop is going to go down. There will be a snapshot of the BTC blockchain in february. Everyone that holds BTC at this date will be airdropped some SEM: for one BTC you get 5 SEM. Thats all you need to know for the airdrop.

I think it's you who should read the thread, here is the rules:

Quote
BTC Airdrop
1. The distribution cap is 2,000,000 SEM;
2. We’ve taken a snapshot of the bitcoin chain at block #480,000. You need to have at least 0.05 BTC balance to be eligible for this event;
3. You need to sign your Semux address with your Bitcoin wallet and submit the signature to https://goo.gl/forms/tXh3Gd8Z6LddBw6H2;
4. The ratio is 1 BTC = 5 SEM;
5. You will receive 5 SEM if you have less than 1 BTC; You will receive at most 500 SEM per address;
6. The deadline is Feb 25, 2018.

Actual bitcoin chain block #497220, the snapshot has already been taken and you have until 25 Feb 2018 to get your airdroped semux

It's time to put OKCash on Voting list at Binance, Kucoin etc (at all those new exchanges where people can vote to list the coin) so the community can vote to get the coin listed ...I hope the marketing team looks into it...Smiley

You can vote here https://altcoinexchange.featureupvote.com/?q=OK+Cash#controls without any registration needed (based on IP) to add OKCash to altcoin.io decentralized exchange.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you a whale? on: December 02, 2017, 02:16:19 PM
For me a whale refere to someone who own a certain quantity of the total supply of a coin. For bitcoin it should be around 0.1% which is 21K Bitcoin (16.7K with the actual circulating supply), for altcoin it's more around 2% to 20% of total supply so they can manipulate the market like a lot of ICO scam, ninja instamine or airdrop scam... (/s it's all for the futur work of the dev team, they need to eat you know,  Roll Eyes )

I would like to know how often are the new posts checked? My post count as not moved since the last 12 hour in altcoincommunity.ru, i would like to know if it's normal. I read somewhere in this thread once every hour this is why i'm little worried.

No need to worry. Gunka has had to cut down on the number of daily updates because the campaign has so many members now. It still updates just not as frequently. Nothing to worry about though as Gunka manually updates at the end of the round to get the final figures, so you won't miss out.

Yeah, thanks for the reply. Just got up and i see all my post got counted today at 10:38AM at altcoincommunity.ru server time.
Thanks Gunka for your work.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best crypto to stake? on: December 02, 2017, 01:49:00 PM
Thanks guys... but I do have a computer available half the day... I want to leverage it into some sort of staking while I'm asleep etc.  I still don't have a clear sense of what you think is the best coin/token for doing that.

There is no need to spend your computing power or pay more electricity bill, if you will keep your computer running whole night either you will end up with broken computer or paying high electricity bill valued more than what you could earn from staking those coins.

You might also look into coins that are using DPoS (Delegated Proof of Stake) where you don't need to have a wallet running by yourself, like for example Lisk or Ark.

Both are available on Bittrex.
Go with this suggestion.

Does staking require more electricitiy? If yes, is it as bad as mining using GPU?

Example will be Qtum - I'm put off buying Qtum as I do not want to consume more electritiy + I think the risk of being hacked is higher if I have to open the wallet all the time.

Thanks.

No, compared to mining it doesn't need any notable GPU or CPU power.

I stake 3 differents coin (Okcash, Particl, Altcom) with 1 Pine64 (cost me 19.9$) which consume 1.4 Wh with these 3 wallet staking, so 12.264 KW/year, so 2.33$/year of electricity (0.19$/KW.h). I ROI the lot (Pine64+electricity) in less than 2 week with my stake mining  Cool .

Some exciting times ahead! Patterns line up, good fundamentals, money that'll flow into alt-coins in the coming months. Who's in for $5 this summer?

I hope you're right, Nexus needs a better price given all the technology already implemented. Ironically, with a price increase it will become more attractive too.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grim Coin on: December 01, 2017, 11:26:18 PM
Its been several hours and I still have zero connections, I have another POS wallet, that is staking correctly on the same system.    There is no way grim.conf is case sensitive? and should be Grim.conf?

I'm half asleep, so I might have mixed something up. Backup wallet and place it somewhere safe before proceeding

1. Copied my wallet file from within AppData\Roaming\Grim folder and place it somewhere else temporarily
2. delete the grim folder in AppData\Roaming\
3. delete the grim app
4. Install new and improved grim app version 1.2
5. Close the new grim app
6. Open AppData\Roaming\Grim\Grim.conf file with notepad and add addnode=45.32.195.56:24861 and then save and close
7. Place Wallet.dat file from step 1 into AppData\Roaming\Grim folder
8. Open Grim, let sync, encrypt wallet

This is exactly what i've done except in Grim.Conf i've :
addnode=198.199.113.75
addnode=45.32.195.56:24861
addnode=reaper.rocks:24861

Hope this will help.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grim Coin on: December 01, 2017, 07:58:18 PM
We have officially forked GRIM coin now to increase PoS to 525%.  The exchanges have been notified and should be taking their wallets off line.  If they are delayed in this...PLEASE DO NOT SEND TO OR FROM EXCHANGES UNTIL THEY UPDATE THE SOURCE!!!!!  The new wallets can be downloaded at https://github.com/GrimReaperCoins/GRIM/releases/tag/v1.2  THIS IS A MANDATORY UPDATE!  If you do not update your wallet, you will be on an unsupported chain and will NOT get the 525% PoS!  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR WALLET.DAT FILE, THEN DELETE THE CONTENTS OF THAT FOLDER BEFORE LAUNCHING V1.2!!!!!  Use these addnodes : addnode=45.32.195.56:24861
addnode=reaper.rocks:24861

Is this wallet really functional?
I have added nodes mentioned here, in sync process, i never complete.
Remaining number decrease but new remaining block added continually.
The number of remaining blocks getting bigger and bigger.

Do i need to do some config?

Same thing with me, I added all the nodes I found in this whole thread and I'm not syncing

No problem for me once i put the 2 node in my AppData\Roaming\Grim\Grim.conf file

Is there any blockexplorer somewhere? i've just updated to the new version of the wallet and i want to know if i am on the right chain.

Response to myself.
Found 1 here : http://grim.reaper.rocks/ but beware the hash column is in fact TxId and if you want the true hash to compare with your wallet you need to click on the block to see it.

The project can be a good project. Why? We'll see, the new mining POW process in just 15 days has given positive evidence in this crypto currency. And this project has also been applied in 42 countries. It is great to be our judgment of this project.

What are you talking about, OKcash is a POS coin. And your story of country, i don't understand, this is a worldwide project every people can be part of it.

If Blackbytes were traded on a centralized exchange, the exchange would have enough information to reveal the origin and destination of blackbytes, and amounts traded, which defeats their purpose.

Is Blackbytes private only because all transaction are off-chain? Do the buyer know who is the seller?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Small altcoins – large profits on: December 01, 2017, 05:33:16 PM
I'm thinking about investment in two small altcoins. In particular XRP and XEM. Are there any other here that think these have a lot of potential to grow?

you have chosen good coins. I also think that these coins can give you a good profit. I have in my portfolio also these coins and I think that I made the right choice
choosing between XEM and XRP, I would choose XEM. I think that this coin is very underestimated. More and more startups use NEM as a platform. One of the last ICOs in which I invested my XEM is COMSA.

I don't see XRP or XEM as small altcoins. XRP with 9.770 B$ marketcap and XEM with 2.092 B$ marketcap, i don't think you'll see an increase of 10x -20x in the near future, even if i need to choose between these 2 I will probably invest in XEM.

At which time the end of this signature campaign round would be and the start of the new round should be (in UTC please)? Thanks

I've just added Nexus to Alcoin.io proposal, which is a future decentralized exchange.
I think the more exchange we have (DEX as priority), the more decentralized Nexus would be.

Found this lately https://altcoinexchange.featureupvote.com/?q=OK+Cash#controls and upvoted. No need to register.
IMHO if a maximum of people could vote for OKCash and allow to be part of Altcoin.io decentralized exchange, this would be a big step forward for OKCash
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: November 25, 2017, 12:47:56 AM
Is Semux would be compatible with Atomic Swap technology? Can it be added to decentralized exchange?

I voted yesterday, and I check today that I don't receive interest. Is it normal?

Only nodes with the delegate status take part in block generation, hence you would have to vote on a delegate that belongs to you to get block rewards.

Ok, Ive voted, have many votes out as we speak on delegates who generate lots of blocks and guess what? I never receive anything from those votes. Whats the point of voting when we dont receive a percentage of what they mine?the only people here reaping ANY rewards are those who can mine and BTC holders who you will give airdrops too.

You can vote for hmmmaa_semux in the delegate tab, send him a PM just to be sure.
Looking for 5000+ votes , share 100% until semux pool is back up . PM me in case you are interested .
