Theoretically the price should shoot up. I suspect this year to be the "year of bitcoin".

The title says it all...the world is headed in a scary direction in 2015. How will the collapse of the us dollar and a world war effect the price of BTC?
If by "scary" you mean that there's a chance we could escape the dark ages, yeah it will be scary. Without fiat there can be no fiat-funded wars. The long term averaged value of the btc will continue to go up regardless. Should be interesting to see what happens this year |

...Since the weak hands won't be there to dump into a rally, it will be stronger and more sustained. This is why large reversals follow large crashes, and vice versa.

Nice to see some fresh blood here  I just wanted to agree with the idea that the OP post in this thread really needs to be cleaned and spruced up. Also, it might be nice if we got a new thread title ( We didn't have a "Happy Birthday DGB!" Thread title? What a missed opportunity!  ) Also, maybe we could get a kind of behind the scenes look at what happens in your offices, or just what you all do in general. That would make great, if difficult to produce well, material for the youtube channel.This is a very good suggestion. Make people feel like they are apart of something other than this forum community. Making people feel involved in DGB day to day operations would be great. Developer segments are big hits. It will also boost community trust (not like you need any more from most of us.) +1 does not have to be daily, maybe weekly videos. Weekly videos would be great. There are a TON of people on this forum who come here everyday and still have never heard of Digibyte I was one of those people |

This coin bitshares really makes me shocked! The initial distribution was 2.5 billion which is nearly the same amount as the total DGB in circulation... However, 1 BTS = 5000SAT but 1DGB = 20 SAT ..... Something is not quite right here or there... 5 BitShares BitShares $ 33,426,636 $ 0.013381 2,497,973,773 BTS * (notice the *) Coins with the * on coinmarketcap head right to the top, no need for mining and get exposure right away while digibyte gets pushed down the list. These coins get good exposure and people jump into them, its that simple. Once again I blame Coinmarketcap. We all have to start educating people about Digibyte. I've been apart of this forum reading for a while and I just found it. Amazing |

Lol, do you know how bitcoin works on even the most superficial level?
I know that when the cost of electricity for making a bitcoin is close to 50% of the price of a bitcoin for some, expanding your mining operation by adding more overhead is not really a given, not to mention the cost of the actual HW. And as far as I know, the mining gear developers are reluctant to put all their money into 14/16nm FinFet processes when the prices drop like an anvil. So I was wondering if you have some specific information on why the hashrate would go "way up" anytime soon? There is another great coin up and coming called Digibyte that will be the day to day currency that can be realistically used. BITCOIN will still be there as gold is to dollars.
