1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy get's sued for shady business practices! (act surprised!) on: October 27, 2014, 07:59:46 PM
Trying my best to act surprised, but finding it incredibly difficult to do so. Glad the corrupt business practices of "Big Vern" are finally coming to light. I removed all of my coins off of Cryptsy a very long time ago, I would advise everyone to do so as well ASAP.
2  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: →Cheap← Social Media Boosting ☺ for Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, ETC!☺ on: September 03, 2014, 04:54:40 AM
I came here to post just how happy I am with Ruben's service. I was recommended by someone else on the forums who I hold in my regard and I must say, not only is Ruben way cheaper than everyone else, I also got additional likes/followers, more than I actually paid for. I will be recommending Ruben's services to friends and future clients for sure. I purchased Facebook likes and Twitter followers, after paying it didn't take long to start seeing the followers and likes count start going up.

I haven't had a problem with the Windows Infinitecoin and malware and my machine is secured in every crevice it contains. The OP should be careful making baseless accusations accusing one wallet over another, when it is quite obvious that the cause for the malware was 99% likely to be caused by something else.

If you're going to accuse one coin or another, post up proof or GTFO. Crypto has suffered enough this year without people like you coming along and damaging it further. By all means call out coins doing wrong by people, but make sure you don't defame them in the process if you don't have the proof to back it up.

Why would Tecshare who came along and helped resurrect this coin from the dead deliberately infect people with malware? What is the point if it would only drive away interest thus driving down the price of the coin. If the point is to get people to use a coin, you don't generate interest by infecting users. There is no logic in the OP's argument other than trying to draw parallels between a friends computer being infected and having the Infinitecoin wallet installed.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 30, 2014, 06:26:43 AM
Where is this promised presentation that was in their own words, "Definitely coming this week"? Erundook and the team of cowards behind Coinex have lost my trust completely. I will be restoring the contents of the initial blog post with Erundook's details in a few short hours because the promises that were made have not been followed through with, so I am going to follow through with my initial promise.

Erundook had his chance to make this right. Dragging it out for weeks without so much as a simple explanation as to what happened and what is being done does not constitute right in my opinion. I feel like I am wasting my time talking about him, but I don't want Vitaly to forget what he's done and the problems he is causing himself as a result of not being honest and transparent.

Don't trust a word this guy says. I hate to be cynical, but as the old saying goes: fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Getting 50% of your coins back is a start, but I don't agree that it is a remotely great solution nor a solution at all. The site will be hacked again, there is no security auditor, the site will still be the same old insecure hunk of junk it always has been. Because Erundook doesn't care about you or your coins, he cares about himself and his profits.

Remember Erundook's Localbitcoin 150BTC+ trade volume in only the space of a month. Never forget.

Finally. You're slowly getting the hang of it, Vitaly. Now how about that promised presentation you guys were working on you said was coming "definitely this week" in your Tweet? I understand this must be a difficult situation, but your silence has been your downfall. If you had been honest, upfront and above all communicated with your site users about what was happening, people would be a lot more understanding of the situation.

However, all I keep hearing is excuses. All words, no action. Answer these questions and maybe, just maybe depending on how honest you are in answering them, will people be more sympathetic.

1. Why were all coins sitting in hot-wallets? For someone to have hacked the site and taken all of the coins, they would have had to be sitting in hot-wallets, right?

2. Was there any kind of hot to cold wallet storage procedures in place. And if so, why did it not stop all coins being taken?

3. Was this second attack the same kind of attack as the first? Did the attackers get in and steal the coins via the same method/loophole in the exchange platform, and if so, why wasn't it fixed the first time?

4. How were the coins taken? How did they get in and what kind of attack was it? Was it a result of bad code that caused the hack, was it an unsecured server, was it an inside job?

5. You mention having spoken to security auditors, what companies are being considered for the task? Naming names won't be a security issue, so please tell us who will be doing the audit.

6. What measures were in place to prevent such attacks and why did they fail? Were you using any kind of firewall, was the site being hosted on a VPS, dedicated server, bare metal server?

7. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: How many coins were stolen and how are you planning on replacing all alternative cryptocurrencies on the site that aren't obtainable via fiat? Will you just be replacing the alternative crypto in an equal amount of Bitcoin instead?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 28, 2014, 12:58:51 AM
This whole entire situation is just ridiculous. Coinex gets all of their coins stolen for a second time and people are mostly responding things like, "Thanks for the update" and "I love you Erundook, you're such an honest and sexy man" The fact Coinex have lost everyone's coins once, let alone twice should be enough of a warning that the exchange was being run by people more concerned with pocketing the profits off of transactions than they were concerned with paying someone else to audit their site.

And then there is the alarming admission by Erundook in the first few pages of this thread that Coinex have silently covered several losses on the site, presumably because of being hacked and failed to tell their own users the hacks took place. Does that sound like an exchange run by an honest guy?

The fact Erundook tried to erase himself from the Internet in a fit of panic also says a lot about his character. Why should people trust a word Vitaly says when his actions seem to indicate someone who is afraid to tell the truth.

Then a further admission they're working out how to cover all of the losses on the site, then asking people to buy Crypto stock which is the equivalent of saying, "Hey, we lost all of your coins, can you please help us buy spending more of your money so we can refund everyone the lost coins" — this is alarm bell #15.

The fact Erundook in the space of 1 month had a trade volume of over 150BTC on Localbitcoins is another alarm bell. He proclaims this is BTC he bought from fees collected and maybe he's telling the truth, that's a high trading volume for someone who had an account for one month, isn't it? The fact he created this account one month prior to the site being "hacked" also sets off more alarm bells.

And then you start talking of insurance for Bitcoin exchanges. How does that help the countless people who have lost real money on your exchange? Insurance can't help you after the fact and you know this. What happens when your grand schema Bitcoin insurer gets hacked and their Bitcoins are stolen as well? Who insures the insurer?

And to the people who seem to be okay with the stalling and lies, lack of action or explanation, you're making the situation worse. Money has been seemingly lost here and no matter who's fault it is, it is not okay. Saying things like, "Oh, thanks for the update", "Looking forward to seeing the exchange come back", "We trust you"

Coinex is not coming back. Some people if they're lucky might get their coins back and we all know if losses are covered, Bitcoin, Litecoin and maybe Dogecoin might be the only ones covered. Logistically, Erundook won't be able to recoup all lost cryptos.

Oh, and in case you're wondering Vitaly, I was the person who wrote the blog post that outed your public details of which you called FUD: http://ilikekillnerds.com/2014/03/looks-like-coinex-pw-might-have-been-hacked/ — in a sign of good faith and trust, I hid all of the details I found on you including a full-length photo you took of yourself I found.

Some questions you've failed to answer:

1. What coins were stolen? Was it just Bitcoin, or were all coins stolen?
2. What kind of security did you have in place to prevent this?
3. Why were all coins sitting in hot wallets?
4. How was the site hacked? you don't need to reveal detailed specifics, but simply saying it was an attack is not good enough. SQL injection, server compromise, phishing email, rogue employee?
5. How were all coins stolen so quickly?
6. If Crypto Stocks fail to bring in the required funds to cover the losses, what is the plan? Where is the money coming from to cover the losses?

I don't like the fact I had to go digging up details about your identity or anything of the sort, but you've failed to keep people updated, you've done very dishonest things and all you keep doing is stalling. All I did was give people piece of mind that you couldn't escape so easily, and if it weren't for my blog post, I fear you would have tried doing a runner.

If you do not release a plan this week like you promised, as I promised, I will permanently reinstate the details of the blog post. And this isn't a threat, it's delivering on a promise I made. "Next week" is slowing coming to a close and if there is no resolution or just another excuse, you can suffer whatever consequences may come your way.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The point of cryptos is sadly being destroyed on: March 26, 2014, 11:04:14 PM
Herein lies the problem of cryptocoins as a whole. When there is no regulation, you get a rogue free market. I am not saying we should regulate crypto currencies, but something needs to be done.

The problem in my opinion is not the number of new pump coins showing up, it's the exchanges that keep getting hacked and failing. The lack of security, the lack of care and due-diligence when it comes to running a proper cryptocurrency exchange.

Even though most exchanges are making good money, it seems the money being made from commissions and fees is not being invested back into the business itself. In the real world, all businesses operate on the principle of once your overheads are covered, you invest a little of the excess back into the business to help it grow further (or you take investment). Some of these so-called secure exchanges are running on the likes of Linode or DigitalOcean virtual private servers, don't understand basic server management, don't have hot to cold storage processes in place and keep everything in the one location.

All serious crypto coins need to work together and create the ultimate decentralised currency software that anyone can run. But it's a double-edged sword here, because won't that mean more people will be able to start running exchanges if you give the software away? Yes, but they're doing that anyway and look at the results? At least if there is a seriously tested, developed and constantly updated exchange, we can make it that extra bit harder for exchanges to fail because they're a sole point of failure.

Everyone needs to band together; Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Infinitecoin in particular collectively have just as much community and resources as a company like Google does. I think we need to organise some kind of online meetup amongst cryptos, a plan and solution needs to be developed and acted upon.
