801  Economy / Reputation / Re: multi account questions on: June 04, 2020, 02:20:53 PM
-The purpose of the multi account is: "expressing yourself more comfortably". How can I express myself more easily if I say "this account is mine"?
The purpose of multi account is this one mentioned by you and people often do that in reputation section (sometimes get harassed for posting from newbie account too). But multi account allowed feature is mostly used by the signature campaign abuser. Most of the high profile have another face behind too, as long as they are not caught, they will pretend to have only one account.
However, not everyone is like that. For example, LoyceV created two accounts for two device, same by timelord too. My opinion is as long as you are not cheating, abusing, you are good to go with more than one account.
802  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let us discuss on hacked exchanges on: June 04, 2020, 01:56:39 PM
They say all the time, "Not your key, not your coin."
Exchanges are kind of custodial wallet and they can never be used for storing your coins, not even for a single day unless you are a day trader. For your info, couple of months ago, Binance was hacked to and around 7000 BTC was stolen if I am not mistaken. So, not a matter which exchange you are using. It's possible to get hacked and ruined your party. Use wallet which you can control, which you have private key. Otherwise, someday you will be left zero balance  Wink
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Yobit scam ? Trade lost money on: June 04, 2020, 01:49:40 PM
The Yobit market service is not very good as well as the altcoin it provides, but the explanation of the Yscam must be detailed so that other investors do not experience the same events as you experienced.
It has been a while yobit is doing this shit scam with creating a lot of spam tokens even without any bloclchain eexistence. No more explanation is need, if you have free time, search with Yobit scam and you will find a lot of complain against this scam exchange. But still a lot of users use this exchange and get scammed by a way or another.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ‘No Message Was Signed’: Craig Wright Refutes Tulip Trust Fabrication on: June 04, 2020, 01:40:10 PM
If the real Satoshi had intention of step in, we would have seen him earlier. Within this 10 years, we have seen a lot of drama regarding the Satoshi. If he was interested, he would appear long back to throw some shits on the face of such drama creator faketoshi.
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Breaking historic resistance on: June 02, 2020, 03:56:24 PM
It got back to $9400 sadly and seems $10k was a bull trap. I was also expecting a positive volatile move tonight but it got in wrong direction. The dump happened within very short time though.
806  Other / Meta / Re: Online challenge, test your knowledge about Bitcointalk on: June 02, 2020, 03:23:27 PM
The 3rd question's actual answer is 490, isn't it? Why would it be 480 activity in 35 periods.
I did 14 out of 15, didn't know that all the staff know who merit sources are. I used to know only admin know. However, there is a thread here in meta to observe who are the merit sources. You can also check by yourself.

807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think testnet coins should be trade able already in exchange on: June 02, 2020, 03:13:33 PM
Testnet coins have zero value and they must not be tradee by any means. They are created just to test the network whether it works as designed or sometimes to play with different technical aspects of project. Have you seen any such coin to be traded?
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MEW airdrop paid help requested on: June 02, 2020, 02:52:47 PM
i think you should open a thread for your airdrop campaign ,so many people can join  and give their address to receive the free tokens ,are you planning to send it to random eth holders?
He is looking for someone who can help him sending his airdrop token to various receivers. OP, I think there are bunches of app through which you can do this job. Or I can do it for you if you are interested. Hit me a PM with details of the project and how much addresses are there to send airdrop.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One mistake and l have lost all bitcoin on: June 02, 2020, 02:41:25 PM
To be honest, most of the altcoin projects are here to steal your btc (can't remember who said this first, but it's true). In addition, if you are a newbie trader, the chances if losing is more than gaining. Don't be upset, shit happens in life and shit happens more in crypto space.
810  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping on some boards, Is it a successful experience? on: June 02, 2020, 02:20:47 PM
The original thread would be best for discussion in my opinion.
However, I have seen some useless threads in the top (bumped by someone). Some of the projects don't exist even. Moreover, most of the old projects always get a place on the top. Newbies may not have any idea how they can filtet according to the posted dates. It will be a pain for them to find out the newest threads.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🧅 [ONION] DeepOnion 🧅 Modern Privacy with Real Use Cases 🧅 Read ONION News on: June 02, 2020, 02:15:50 PM
However, if the main reason for refusal of the partnership will be the current name, then rebranding will be necessary very soon. And not only from DeepOnion to Onion, but to something completely new.
I don't think the name will be a problem for partnership in any way. If you have something to offer, partnership will be done easily. What we need is increasing marketing activity, form up a team for that and go ahead with a great roadmap. That will certainly bring the success.
812  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Link Merit and Post History right from the threads just like Trust on: June 01, 2020, 02:15:03 PM
Linking merit history would be a good changes. I often feel the necessity of that, however, I really don't see any reason why post history should be linked. That doesn't necessary in my opinion.

Oldies but goldies, don’t change anything about the forum.
Don't worry, theymos isn't going to switch from smf sooner. I can't see any plan soon.

Interesting poll created to collect info from the community.
DeepOnion or ONION or another idea. You can vote and see results.
https://deeponion.org/community/threads/poll-use-of-deeponion-or-onion-or-another-future-name.43867/
To be honest with you, the name sounds good because it's something which denotes the privacy coin in some way. Rebranding can't bring anything good in my opinion. Current name, logo and ticker is perfect in my opinion. Let's see what other thinks too.
What we need is to get partnered with different merchant if possible, I mean increasing ONION to be available in every possible place. For example, you can get partnered with Bitrefill if possible. Or you can ask some of the popular gambling sites whether they are interested in implementation of DeepOnion as one of their currency. I believe all these are possible if we have organized team for this.
814  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The MEMPOOL just cleared :D on: May 31, 2020, 03:13:28 PM
Alternatively, you can say it's the good time to consolidate the mass inputs into one. Couple of weeks ago, when I tried to consolidate a lot of inputs, the fee was too high at that time and I regretted why I didn't earlier.
815  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Different components of a transaction (Informative) on: May 31, 2020, 03:08:35 PM
It is not completely correct. In wallets, there are some options to enable or disable the change address feature. People can choose or unchoose the option to use or not use the feature, respectively.
Isn't it like if you enable change address, one of your change address will receive the change and if you don't enable it, the same address of the input will be used as change address. I get to check once again, lol.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🧅 [ONION] DeepOnion 🧅 Modern Privacy with Real Use Cases 🧅 DeepOnion News on: May 31, 2020, 01:10:10 PM
Wow, such initiative, BIG success. 4 users participated. Way to waste those coins.
Community is not so active like back then. So, it's not a surprise at all that there's low number of participants. I know some of them will be activr there forever because they have invested most of their savings, but who cares?
Anyway, congrats @usbs, you did a pretty good job man.
817  Other / Beginners & Help / Different components of a transaction (Informative) on: May 30, 2020, 01:51:51 PM
In each transaction, there is a lot of information which some of us, especially newbies, don't know anything about. Today, as I'm locked due to the Corona Virus effect and have some free time, I thought to write an info article for newbies so that they can learn everything about a transaction in an easy way.
What are the components of a bitcoin transaction?
TxID/ Tx Hash
Block
Size
Input & Output
Change Address
Fee

TxID/ Tx Hash
There are a lot of transactions occurring in bitcoin each day. TxID is the record of each transaction. In traditional accounting, we can compare TxID with the transactions of each day. For example, X company may have severals transaction on a day-
Paid $5k as rent.
Good sold- $10k
Paid electricity bill- $500
All these are some transactions and they have numbers 1,2,3. These 1,2,3 are the txID. A txID contains all the information of a transaction including timestamp, amount, fee etc.

Block
A block can be compared to the traditional page number of a book. For example, the xTH number of pages of X book contains some information. In the same way, a block contains maximum 1 MB data of the tx records.

Size
TX has its size. Depending on the input and output it can vary in bytes.

Input & Output
In traditional ledger books, we have different accounts for income and expenses. We can compare the income with input here. Imagine, you have 1 BTC which you received from your friend. If you are sending 1 BTC to your cousin, bitcoin blockchain will look if you really have 1 BTC. Then it will say, you have 1 BTC from your friend and you are sending that 1 BTC to your cousin. So, in general words, it will link the source of that 1 BTC with the destination of that 1 BTC. Here, the source of that 1 BTC is the input and the destination of that 1 BTC is the output.

Change Address
It's normal as fiat changes. If you have 1 BTC in your wallet and you want to send 0.05 BTC to your friend, the total amount will be used as input but the change of 0.95 BTC (minus fee) will be sent to your change address.

Fee
Fee is paid to the miners to confirm include your transaction in a block. Fee can be customized, can be paid 1 sat/byte or higher. Sometimes, when the mempool is congested (In other words, when there are more than usual tx occurs), the fee increases significantly.

These are very general components of a bitcoin tx, there are some more too. I will update them later.
818  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Online challenge, test your knowledge about the forum rules on: May 30, 2020, 01:40:47 PM
I made it 8 out of 10, although one was not mistake of me. Your 4th quiz says account sales are? which is allowed in the forum but not encouraged. I have clicked allowed but it says I was wrong. I think you should change it because the same question is included in another quiz too.
Anyway, great works of course.
819  Economy / Reputation / Re: Possible Alt account or Merit trading, let's discuss on: May 30, 2020, 01:18:24 PM
Merit exchange isn't anymore a valid sign of accusing alt unless the exchange or abuse is very blatant although this one you are talking about is explicit that they are alt. You can try to further investigate their previous post history and if they are alt, they will leave some foot prints obviously.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🧅 [ONION] DeepOnion 🧅 Modern Privacy with Real Use Cases 🧅 DeepOnion News on: May 30, 2020, 01:08:46 PM
whats the diffrence of monero and this coin?
There's nothing much of difference if you think from the privacy view. DeepOnion is using DeepSend to hid tx details (although it's not tested in a large sum, not tested by any chain analysis) while Monero uses RingCT to hide tx details.
You can check more here, but don't laugh at the poor guy's comment (they all were noobs back then)- https://deeponion.org/community/threads/monero-vs-deeponion.4894/?amp=1509283365
