Called Coinye West, the altcoin was subsequently renamed Coinye in an attempt to continue its business activities even in the face of legal pressure.
The developers envisioned Coinye as a fun and simple altcoin for the hip-hop community, and even tweeted news about its development to the rapper in the hopes he would embrace the concept. Just another junk coin, nobody really loses - except the hiphop community and kayne himself. but, junk music too  |

For Bitcoin to work, it needs to work, and although to an autistic the idea that the sync takes a week means that Bitcoin is working and that the computer is working really hard, to any other normal human not afflicted with autism, this is NOT working. To sit at 10 days behind in sync for an entire day is NOT working.
You can use a normal wallet, like Electrum or Multibit and use bitcoin within 5 minutes, it doesn't take 10 days to start. Many people from around the world are using Bitcoin, it's not just a geek thing anymore - and you forget the fact that bitcoin is now a billion dollar economy. I am sure that, say, Microsoft for example, employs lots of autistic programmers/software engineers. And if that was all that Microsoft ever employed, we would still be typing at the black cmd window. And if that were the case, we would have never had Microsoft. Now I am sure that many of you autistics are guffawing right now because this is precisely what you think - that we should indeed still be typing at black command windows and judging the performance of an algorithm by your intimate familiarity of the sound of the CPU fan, instead of a progress bar. Well I hate to have to break it, still, here in 2014, to the autistic software engineers, but normal people don't give a shit about how or why computers and code works, they just want it TO work so that they can do OTHER work...work that autistics don't understand, like software management. Microsoft did more than hire autistic programmers, it hired normal mentally healthy people - managers and QA people, etc., to make sure that their autistic software could at least, for the most part, be used productively by the general population.
Great programmers are usually not autistic, simply because you need to understand all of the customers wishes - they are usually in other areas. It's in fact a profession that deals with a lot of humans. As for the GUI, that was not initiated by Microsoft.. it was an evolution were many companies were investing including Apple and NeXT. |

Its a political decision, especially at the moment. I don't think Russia will even bother to reply to it.
Right, exactly at this time they order to pay $50 billion - while at the same time, the west is a war with Ukraine. Didn't know Russia was in EU... Don't know that you can judge problem in foreign jurisdiction ? As an American I may be misinformed, but European laws do not apply in Russia as far as I know. |

I highly doubt that anyone is paying anyone to post about the Ukraine situation on a forum for users of Bitcoin.
Probably the least effective way to get the public on their side.
I saw some, but mostly they are on yahoo news, facebook, youtube, twitter and popular blogs and news sites. They multiple accounts on each sites. The reach of users on the bitcointalk forum is too small for mass brainwashing. I think, mostly it's being posted on news channels and sites like facebook or vkontakte. There are millions of users there, and you could reach all of them in the same day - almost instantly. |

it's all soaked with corruption. greed is the prevailing attitude.
democrarcy in the the US is a thing of the past. a democracy with two parties, seriously? and the one with the most money wins. the system is a joke. and i think no other western nation has such an effective brainwashing machinery going to keep their people uninformed and distracted.
while at the same time i have a feeling that more and more people are waking up from the american dream and realize they are stuck with a system that only acts in favor of the 1% and abuses all the rest.
apart from that the US is an amazingly beautiful country and there are lots of awesome people over there.
Yes, I think the corruption level in the US is absurd. I'd say the current political system here is an economical apartheid. I agree that the US is a beautiful place, but the government needs to change. land of drons, GMO, chemtrails....

Unfortunately, it seems that fascism and nazi-ism are trending in the aftermaths of these tensions around the world.
Nazism has never left the world, since it was first introduced. Strangely enough we now see nazism in unexpected countries/races who the nazis wanted to eliminate. They made huge mistake once in Libya and couldn't afford another mistake now.
At least they learned something from their previous mistake.
Day by day Libya is going to the chaos, following bad examples of Syria and Iraq.
I think other embassies will follow Americans and evacuate soon.

I don't see any sense in this news.
As statesman and president of Russia Putin have immunity against any legal action inside or outside of Russia.
Also, criminal investigation about MH17 crash has barely begun and it's very far from completion.
I think this is more media propaganda than real and serious plan or action by any authority.
Just propaganda, to paint a bad picture of Putin and prepare the people for war, has been going on for a while now. plus 1 right here.
This case is not something that has any business being in the US court system. do you think our government cares about the tax money? It's their now.. they do what they want with it |

Problem is, poor people in the US still are way better than middle class elsewhere.
Middle class in US is not always better off than elsewhere. Consider Dubai and Qatar. Elsewhere here means everywhere beyond the US, so you should take an average income across the world to make comparison valid. If you take the average it may give other results and indicate that, but living standards in Qatar or Dubai are very different than say India. Their population is small and they had the luck to be born literally in oil. When the oil reservoirs are finally depleted, they will return to where they started from, that is to nomadism and camel breeding (the richest will obviously emigrate to Europe or America). And their ultra-modern high-scrapers cities of today will be slowly but surely devoured by sand and desert. Good point, once they run out of oil they'll go back to primitive states. How many years would that take? |

How can that work out? Suing someone in USA for something that happened outside USA were no party is related to USA?
And no way to enforce the outcome of the ruling. In case anyone do not realize, Russia has bigger gun than UK and Malaysia. And US army has stretched too thin to be any use. Just though words, nothing more.The US didn't succeed in getting Snowden out of Russia nor China, they are superpowers. Nevertheless Snowden did the right thing. |

Obama is one person, with significantly less power than people give him credit for...
The entire political system in the US is broken.
The immigration issue is something that needs to be addressed, but its a major issue and neither party has the courage to deal with it.
Politicians are too busy trying to raise money for 1st terms or re-elections. They waste a majority of their time on that instead of actually fixing issues.
At the end of the day, Washington will NOT change, unless we make them.
Unfortunately, most Americans are too pacified with TV and iPhones to really do anything.
US politics is run by bussinessman. You can simply buy your way to power What would you want Americans to do? |
