Goat if you want to de-list and move off GLBSE, we will do everything in our power to be as helpful as we can.
If you can wait a couple of days I'll add the needed functionality to allow your shareholders to move their TYGRR* shares off in as easy and painless a fashion as possible.

Yeah...
I will get out as soon as I can :/ I'm shocked so far the response I've gotten about setting up a new exchange. For everyone asking I'm going to quickly set up something for what I am operating now. But sooner or later something will be operational over tor. 100% anon, 100% regulation free. If there is anyone who can help me make this let me know. My team is backed up with other projects right now. Thanks.

From which jurisdiction does GLBSE operate?
Look up That says you would comply with government authority from the U.S. and UK. I don't see mention though (other than the Sealand snark) regarding from where GLBSE operates. [/quote] Poor Sealand is no more, was destroyed in a fire. GLBSE isn't a registered company, the server it runs on is based in the US(the .com domain is claimed by the US), I'm based in the UK, it's shareholders are mostly anonymous and based all over the world.

8. The Exchange may at its discretion ask asset creators to provide proof of identity, address, phone number, or any other information as deemed appropriate. Said information will be held securely offline and not shared with any third party. Even if ordered by a court? From which jurisdiction does GLBSE operate? Look up if say the UK or US government knocks on my door with a warrant and a bunch of MIB do we give them the information?
Currently as it stands there is nothing we could do to stop this, you can see yourself that in the US people go to prison if they don't give passwords, and the same is in the UK (except in the UK, it's legal, in the U.S. it's not fully established), and I don't think we're currently getting paid enough to warrant spending time in prison for this Tongue

We can always add the option to short shares, and offer your own shares to be lent out for shorting, and get a small payment.
If you are going to implement the shorting of shares on the exchange, please allow asset issuers enough time to raise funds in order to combat short attacks by traders looking to profit from crashing assets. Any asset without a healthy amount of buy orders would be open to an immediate plunge in value by manipulators looking to make a quick Bitcoin. I would also like to see high fees on open shorts (at least in the beginning, of something like 0.5% per 24 hours) to encourage shorts to cover their positions at some point & balance the market. In addition to that, I would like to see a limit on the short % of an asset's floating shares and healthy margin requirements. *Being an asset issuer, my opinion is obviously biased. My goal is to protect shareholders on the GLBSE and lend my opinion to be taken into consideration in molding the exchange for everyone's benefit. Please do not attack me for this.I certainly won't be adding this functionality this week. Maybe next week but no guarantee. What I was actually thinking is users who have shares would be allowed to lend them out for shorting, and they would be able to specify the rate they want to charge for this service. People who want to short would then be able to take their pick from whats available. What you think?

Point 8. Obviously you live in some jurisdiction and, unless it is Sealand, you can receive court subpoena. It is not fair to make promisses that you will not be able to keep.
May be you should put a clause that TOS are subject to jurisdiction of Sealand?
I assume you mean the sharing of identities of those asset issuers who have verified their identity, with governments that request. i.e. if say the UK or US government knocks on my door with a warrant and a bunch of MIB do we give them the information? Currently as it stands there is nothing we could do to stop this, you can see yourself that in the US people go to prison if they don't give passwords, and the same is in the UK (except in the UK, it's legal, in the U.S. it's not fully established), and I don't think we're currently getting paid enough to warrant spending time in prison for this With regards to point 8 of our TOS, this is something we need to look at, but will suffice for the moment. If we did want to offer protection against such an action it's certainly possible to do so. We could encrypt the information using multiple keys, giving those keys to GLBSE members spread around the world. So even if they did ask me to decrypt I would be unable to comply. I think this would be something we would probably have to charge for, it sounds like a lot of work. Also yes, they COULD sue me but I'm not a wealthy person... I've got a nice suit they could have but thats about it :p

I don't like the 11th point. You have emails of the users. use them for notice with a few days/weeks in advance of a new TOS becoming effective
Agreed. Apart from that it's OK. I think GLBSE is more vulnerable, and needs more protection, than its users. ribuck: GLBSE need more protection? Could you expand on this? Regarding emailing notice up an update of the TOS, that's reasonable, it's actually only since we've launched GLBSE 2.0 that we collected users details. Nefario.

Hope to catch some. How will this work ? Highest bids first ? Looks like there are around 120 bids atm on GLBSE.
Giga, can you shed some light on this? I know there was talk update updating the functionality of GLBSE, but I'm not sure if it has been implemented. The previous behaviour would have bids fills starting at the highest price, and then for bids at the same price starting with oldest first. This actually was an issue a while back, where orders were filled at the best price, but when the price was the same (for multiple orders) it was not sorted by age. This was fixed a few days ago. So, best price first, when prices are the same, then the oldest order gets filled first. Nefario.
